GTA V VS Watch Dogs Comparison

Now the driving I can agree with you on, it certainly does need some work as it feels just like Saints Row 3. Watch Dogs cant live up in terms of production value and quality to GTA V. GTA V has this many little things making the gamr high quality. The fact WD is SP focused doesnt better anything btw. Just look at WDs current Playerbase... basicly non-existent Sorry man but there are things Watch Dogs definitely does better without a doubt! 1. Stealth - this one is undisputable as stealth is nearly useless in GTA V which leads to point number 2 2. Police Wanted System - stealth is useless in GTA V and animals can report crimes to law enforcement and the cops always know where you are no matter what or how stealthy and silent you are. 3. Gun Sounds - Again no contest, Watch Dogs takes this one easily! 4. High Quality Story DLC - Bad Blood introduces a new playable character, T Bone, and was properly announced, communicated, and released in a timely manor! Meanwhile 2 years later and still no word of Story DLC for GTA V! Gee, how professional of you Rockstar!!! One more thing: Kudos to Officer Garza for taking the fight to the Rockstar defender fanboy squad! For that I salute you sir, well done my friend!

Do you think cops & mercenaries should use heavy arms?

I half agree with AAR. Police forces as well as mercenaries are already too damn accurate, and the police must have their own personal crystal ball. Arming the police with grenades and bazookas is a ridiculous idea best saved for Saints Row. GTA needs to stay as true to life as it can, so cops with shotguns and assault rifles is okay only if the situation calls for it...like a few of the bank robberies in GTA V for example where police would undoubtedly be strapped to the teeth. Think about this though, the police would want to put an end to the chaos in a quick, precise manner, not blow up a city block. Mercs on the other hand, I'm okay with them having heavier weapons but once again it depends on the situation and more importantly who it is we are talking about. Your average street gangster will not have access to military grade hardware unlike a Mafioso type. No difficulty levels.

Intricate gameplay mechanics you would like to see in future GTA's

Being able to mug people when you aim your gun at them, like in Saints Row A bar or something above a nearby enemies head in missions that involve stealth. That way you can see if they can see you like in other games. Would be handy for missions like Deliver EMP if they ever make a mission like that in SP

GTA V VS Watch Dogs Comparison

Where's Saints Row 2 and CoD Black Ops? Ultimate winners. Crysis, R6 Vegas, Metro 2033 were OK.

GTA V Police Cars & Emergency Vehicles

As interesting as that is, that's going down the Saints Row The Third road way too much... Not a fan at all. Cheers! I'd call it more 'Need for Speed: Rivals' or 'Hot Pursuit' since those games had some impossible cop cars!

How come there are almost no references to TBoGT in V?

Well, Volition DID work on a prequel to the third game called "Saints Row: Money Shot," where you play as some female Ultor assassin out to execute Dex with a rifle but the main part of the game is to control the bullet firing towards Dex. It was cancelled instead and we have an opportunity to haunt Dex in GOOH, which I find lame. He should have met his demise in SR:TT.

How come there are almost no references to TBoGT in V?

Maybe R* thought they would alienate some fans due to it. Volition did the same by not introducing Dex in Saints Row: The Third - a key character and a prime traitor to the protagonist.
  9. V feels more like a Saints Row-ified GTA. V isnt a true GTA for me.

Franklin giving orders in c ending was weird [Spoilers]

I didn't say that Franklin wasn't a good friend, just a piss poor criminal who has a terrible story following him. He has no goals in mind. None whatsoever. I can only hope that Rockstar gets their sh*t together, and give him a decent DLC because what they gave us is total garbage. Even a kindergartener makes better stories than the full grown adults that Rockstar hires to be part of the writing staffs. The only person who has somewhat of a decent background is Trevor. At least he has goals that he wants to accomplish. What does Franklin have? Being a complete and utter asshole on top of Vinewood looking down at what use to be his friends now views as a peasant? The assassination side quest isn't that much of a big deal other than the fact that Franklin becomes Lesters bitch the very moment he was given that free mansion, and was quick to accepted it without no question. Eh? So Michael and Trevor were Lester's b*tches for himself designing the heists and everything? Niko was Roman's b*tch for helping him in his gambling addiction? CJ was Sweet's b*tch for supporting him in Grove Street? Is everyone's to you is someone's b*tch if they extended a helping hand and to earn a living? Well lets just say this. Franklin paid absolutely nothing for that mansion that Lester gave him, and he didn't even question him other than the fact that he was happy to move out of his Aunts house in Groves street. When Franklin complained about doing one of the assassination job Lester reminded him where he is living at now... So let me rephrase what I wrote... Lester have leverage over Franklin now because of the mansion that was given to him for free. Do you honestly believe that Lester is some kind of charitable man that hes kind enough to be giving away free mansions to those who he barely knows? Franklins goal is to get out of the hood, Michaels goal is very obscure as he doesnt even know it himself,(can be espcially seen in the sessions with Dr.Friedlander) Also I doubt a Story DLC would make anything better for you as YOUR main goal, seems to be calling R* and the game garbage because of some weird hate you feel for them. A lot of people including me liked the Story, it was entertainingly written, the only game I realy laughed, playing it. Also the balance between entertainment and seriousness was perfect, in my opinion, it wasnt too Saints Row, but also not too GTA IV.

Cars purchased in story mode disappearing when destroyed?

Welcome to GTA V. Saints Row has a better garage system than any of the GTA games.
  12. Yeah that is true, when i first played GTA V i felt like this is what Saints Row would be if they never became wacky and had an actual ONLINE mode. I also thought the italics was a GTA VC thing too that i noticed in the first 10 minutes of gameplay. EDIT: Rockstar should've saved Michael for GTA VI(CE CITY).

Why did car designs change from PS2 to PS3?

Saints Row cars? That's one sh*tty comparison. Hell I prefer a lot of HD era cars compared to their 3D era counterparts (Super GT, Turismo, Stallion, etc...) though I do prefer the 3D era Sabre as the HD era Sabre GT is I don't know how to put it, too big? But still very good looking.
  14. Cheatz/Trickz

Why did car designs change from PS2 to PS3?

All the IV and V era cars including the Voodoo and Sabre are based on real cars and look exactly like them, far from "fake Saints Row cars". IV and V have the most realistic fictional cars in any game.

How did R* NOT get sued by the church of Scientology?!

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHKAHAHAHAHHAHAno cough cough Saint's Row cough cough But Saints Row sucks, and they still copy. Though, less funnily or subtly.Freckle Bitches = Wendy's. It's so dumb.

Sam Houser.... again.. Yeah sure, I know you cant accept it but GTA V was a good game, and well apreciated by many. I acknowledge GTA V is appreciated by the majority, it's a GTA game, the problem is they dumbed V down to cater for the casual people, and the fact that people "pay" much more attention to GTA Online than the SP because singleplayer lost its criminal feel at all and it had much features chopped off to be an online exclusive.... R* can go full Saints Row if they want to lead the franchise that way to "expand their public" because the GTA brand is so strong and mainstream that it won't let the franchise get killed even if they dumb down every aspect of the next game. Sadly we can't tell the same to the Mafia franchise, a franchise based on realism and the criminal feel, which now is following the same way GTA V went to...

    Like and Dislike

Ps3 only off and online since release. After hundreds of hours online and multiple sp playthroughs i find the sp vehicle management my biggest dislike. It is sooooo annoying. I switch to Franklin to find him ironing his cloths and have to taxi or drive across town to get to his remote garage or make the trip to the impound lot in hope of recovering that T20 i upgraded. Too often it's just "dude, where's my car"? The fix is for R* to copy how games like Mafia 2 and Saints Row 2&3 manage vehicles. That is all regular vehicles are available from one garage, vehicles are insured, and vehicles return to the garage and not disappear or go to an impound lot. Vehicle delivery like in online would be really really great. My likes are many however 3 things stand out for me. There are 3 protagonists that are playable and in freeroam can be switched at almost anytime i wish to do so. That one of the protagonists lives in a regular house, is married, and has children. For me the gta 5 world, vehicles, and driving physics provide the most fun of driving fast and crazy in any game i have ever played.

So as a logical consequence I must be a casual player right ? I'll tell you something I am not, and many others who play arent either, Online is made for casuals the core of V is playable by everyone, only thing which got "dumbed down" are the interiors and some MINOR things from IV. Some argue that the Story in V is lacking, I disagree I saw myself greatly entertained but if you are one of them, I dont blame you, its a valid opinion to have because the charackters and missions are indeed over the top designed and might not be for everyone. Still V had objectively, yep objectively better level design than IV. Ask a level designer, ask a Journalist ask a developer all will confirm GTA V has way better level design than IV. Let me grab one example of many, The Film Studio mission in which you have to steal the james bond car, -> The mission is superbly staged (the actor you can steal the clothes from, the regisseur, everyone has specific animations) -> This mission has got a Stealth Aproach you can go in stealthy grab the clothers of the actor go into the car -> This mission got a "Rambo-Aproach" you can go in guns blazing get the car, of course with the consequence of beeing shot at from a bunch of people ->The "Rambo Aproach" can be made everytime in the entire missions, even after you grabbed the actors clothes you can still go in guns blazing. ->This mission got the easter egg that if you go in Stealthy and clothed as the actor and reach the car in time, the women will sit beside you in the car and you can throw her out later ->This mission got the Special gimmick that you are driving a james bond car with a cool chase in which you can place needles. ->This mission got specific camera work for the car and its features. You get the point, I will admit this is one of the best designed missions but many missions are designed in a unique way and none is just as the other. Yeah, this is one thing V got over IV, less boring missions. By the other hand, heists are overscripted as hell (V and Online), even more than Three leaf clover, this is the only aspect that grind my gears regarding heists: Go to the yellow mark to lose the heat. IV has a lot of boring missions, hence the three leaf clover mission being the spotlight mission from the entire game, but it becomes very enhanced by the well-written storyline and realism in the game. V has some funny missions worthy a look, but it has a pitful storyline and arcadish elements that ruins the game for hardcore players. It's a switch, but I would swap all the cool missions for a well written storyline and the realism R* tried to reach in IV.

List of ongoing bugs needing to be fixed

Most of these bugs are quite easy to test. If who ever works on this game also plays it frequently, us pointing it out will draw their attention to it. However, I believe that because of GTA Online being an evolving platform with new content being added continuously, along with micro transactions that bring them money, they will look into it. I have a feeling that they care more about GTA V than they did about GTA IV. So in this case they will be more willing to fix a certain bug. The problem is, there are some bugs that may not be able to be fixed without rewriting a lot of code. But mostly out of all of the bugs posted in here, I really really hope that they fix the following few. I'll rank them. 1. The micro stuttering. Please Rockstar, for the love of god fix the damn micro stuttering. I have a high end PC, and shouldn't be experiencing this. My computer/hardware/setup/drivers/game installation/operating system isn't the problem. Its your game. You apparently got rid of the Self Radio stutter, now they occur when a select bunch of animations are performed. 2. The Nvidia PCSS soft shadows not rendering properly far away. If they found a way to make them behave like regular soft shadows far away, that would be fantastic. Nvidia PCSS is the most realistic soft shadow option but the far shadow bug is ruining it. I like to have the best experience without any downsides. 3. It would be nice if light reflected on water didn't get stuck on the side of my screen, causing water to glow on the edges of the screen. 4. It would be nice if I didn't have to change my graphics settings back and fourth every time I start the game so I don't get shifting 40, then 60 FPS "locks". I will live if 3 and 4 don't get fixed. Number 3 has been there since day 1. Number 4 has been there for me since the second patch. Number 1 has always been there, but recently, I realized the things causing the micro stutter seem to have changed. Number 1 NEEDS TO GET FIXED! I want to see absolutely no micro stuttering. Not on my PC, nor anyone else's. I really hope that number 2 gets fixed as the bug is quite annoying, but number 1 is definitely a high priority over practically any other bug in here. I hear that people with a GTX 980TI get it. This very well could mean that if it is ignored, the micro stutter will not get fixed by future technology like IV's problems did. I don't want it to end up like the Saints Row 2 speed up bug which is sadly unfixable.

GTA V VS Watch Dogs Comparison

Do you see any change on AC series recently? That's how Watch_Downgrs 2 will differ itself from Watch_Downgrs. They'll hold the PC version back so the console versions won't look obsolete and like downgrUbisoft said, the console makers will choose what feature should be chopped off from the PC version. There is also the car handling and physics that managed to be way worse than the terrible physics of GTA V that was reason for jokes about the game and memes, downgrUbisoft said that they prefeered to praise the "fun" over realism even through they said that every car would seem different. An open world game with realistic graphics and with cars that doesn't have realistic physics isn't funny, it's only a poor made GTA/saints row clone and are no worthy spending money on them. In short, if watch_downgrs 2 doesn't feature realistic car handling and physics and the E3 2012 graphics from Watch_downgrs, then the game will be a piece of trash made to milk the franchise. Only an open world game (GTA clone) with realistic car physics and handling can compete with GTA.

Seriously sp isn't "just a tutorial for gtao"

Yea sure, SP is a tutorial. That's why it was advertised more than Online leading up to release. Has an actual story compared to Online's loose story. Is more than 15+ hours, rushing through. Has tons of collectables, side content, and side missions. Sure. It's like saying that Saints Row 3's story was a tutorial for it's Whored Mode.

Did GTA V really soiled the Grand Theft Auto Fanbase?

I mean, you'd think these guys who claim to be disappointed with the game would find something else to pass their time. Two years later. Yes and no. I am absolutely disappointed in some things in GTA V, I won't lie. I will stand by my opinion that the single player has been subordinated to the online play, which effectively nerfs the main character(s) you play as. However, and this is important: Even with all that, I still love GTA V. Yes, there are things I lament. But, the reason I am still here is because even after 2+ years, I think that in a great many ways, GTA V is a fabulous game. To give credence to your point, however (which I intrinsically agree with) I unequivocally HATED GTA Snore GTA IV. But here's the important difference that I think bears mentioning as well as being said in support of your position: When I was let down to the point of being heartbroken by GTA IV, coming off the heels of the AWESOME (for its time) San Andreas, I complained, I whined, I bitched, and I moaned............................wait for it........................for a few weeks. Then I was GONE from all the various GTA Snore GTA IV communities on Rockstar's site, Neoseeker, Gamefaqs, and all other forum sites. I mean, why on Earth would I continue hanging around in a forum for a game I hated? I wouldn't do that to myself. I took my marbles and went home, so to speak. I played Saints Row 1 and 2 over and over again; revisited III, VC, and SA many times, and in 2010, started playing Just Cause 2. But I STOPPED obsessing over GTA Snore and moved on. Now, since I love GTA V, and am actually in the early stages of yet another 100% campaign in the game, I am more than happy to discuss all the things I love and hate about it. But if I felt about this game the way I do about IV, I would not be here. I may actually not have a single post in the GTA Snore forum on this site, but I am not sure.
