The issue with V's story is not so much the fact it has three protags but more so because how those three protags stories were written. There's their individual story lines, their story lines with other protags (Franklin/Michael, etc) and then the three protag story lines. That's a lot to juggle at once. My hope with VI is that with the Bonnie and Clyde stuff the protags storylines will be quite heavily intertwined which should on paper negate a lot of the issues with V's story.3 points -

Some more Steam page tidying, hmm. All the recent trailers are properly uploaded now, and not just Criminal Enterprises. The Steam page also now includes all of the weekly events (new thing since the last 1-2 events) and Valve seems to have chosen it to be a "game with spooky events".3 points -

I have saves at the start of every chapter from my last playthrough, including with John at the start of the epilogue and another save after the credits. I love jumping back in to each one to enjoy the joys of each camp. Except Ch 6, I don't revisit that one. Not a happy place 4 years... wow. Seems like only yesterday... and yet a life time ago.3 points -

4 years and I have only seen the credits roll once. I'm in chapter 3 in my current playthrough - I want a 100% save to play on as John, then I guess I'll start a new save and get to the start Chapter 2 again, and leave that one there. So I can have my online guy in 1898 before Sadie's House is destroyed, Arthur in 1899, and John in 1907. Only not sure how far to take Arthur before I leave him at a certain point in time.3 points -

I remember thinking how bizarre it was that the game came out just before a disease which affects the lungs took over all of our lives for a couple of years For me (and likely everyone else here) the game became a hobby. Tez also liked posts about GOW: Ragnarok, a remake of The Witcher, Age of Empires coming to Xbox, Elden Ring patch notes, COD MW2โs disc, a Hideo Kojima tweet, and a Final Fantasy trailer among other things. This has to mean Rockstar paid all these companies and people to advertise GTA 6 directly in their own games! Iโve cracked the code. Well, they do, It's just that some cars do deform more or less. for example modern cars barely deformate after hiting a wall, American Full Sizes from 2000/90's defrom like cola cans and it's how it is in real life, big and heavy doesn't necessarily mean strong. To give you comparision of Real Life and BeamNG I just booted the game for you. This is Ford Crown Victoria Crash Test result in real life (35 mph) This is Grand Marshal, BeamNG equivalent of Crown Victoria, it's not identical but mostly the same, biggest difference is that it's slightly shorter on the front. This is moded Ford Crown Victoria, this one is a bonus as most of moded vehicles which are basically converts from Forza Horizon titles (riped) are not made properly. Now to not judge by one car I switched cars, now we are going to test BMW Series 5 from 2011 (F10), once again frontal, 35 mph BeamNG equivalent of this car so ETK-800 Series (same thing as with Victoria) I think your perception of crashes in BeamNG vs RealLife is broken because a.) You want to be a snowflake so you repeat unpopular opininions b.) Most crashes you see in BeamNG drive don't represent real life scenarios as in game you don't try to prevent them the same way you do in real life or they are just higher speed. Also about the driving part. I have plenty of hours put in iRacing and plenty in BeamNG. I drove both on steering and all I can say is that I can't relate with what you said, they are mostly on par, BeamNG has worse FFB but that's all.2 points -

Cars are basically designed to crumple pretty readily in a crash, to absorb kinetic energy. The approach to handling crashes is to made sure they are flexible at points that are less likely to damage occupants, rather than being unrealistically armored. Of course, if crashes are too consequential in a video game that can get frustrating since you're incentivized to drive fast and dangerously. Realistically most of the crashes that we more or less shrug off in the games would be devastating and total the car. You wouldn't be able to just knock poles down either because they're set deep into the concrete and the front of the car would just wrap around them instead. I can understand why they would want to avoid totally killing your momentum every time something like that happened, though. That said I am in favor making crashing your car a bit more consequential in VI, and having much more detailed and visible damage on vehicles.2 points -

There's apparently a new signature scanner among a few other new functions in relation to the Anti-Cheat system. However, their efficiency doesn't come close to the previous Anti-Cheat system. It's looking more like that this wasn't accidental, but more so intentional. Going by the possibility of E&E hitting the PC version in December and the new (unused for now) Platform List for GTA+ "Subscribe" button. Rockstar could be implementing a new Anti-Cheat system to discontinue the previous one. Especially if GTA+ is to hit the PC version.2 points -

So, looking at the calendar, once someone gets pictures of the first 12, they should wait until the 29th (or 30th or 31st) to get 13-26, as they'll all be appearing at once, right? I'm also guessing with multiple UFOs that, if you get too close to one, it'll disappear, but the rest will remain? So, an easy way to make sure you get them all is take the pic, approach the one you photograph so it disappears and then move on to the next one? Or, is there something I'm missing?1 point -

the first UFO I started with was on Mt Chiliad(#3),but this was Sunday. It should have been over to the east more, #4. after 2 days I looked it up because I noticed here that #4 was scheduled not to come back. I lost hope of getting these silly boxers. I guess with the update I should be glad I continued to photograph all I could in subsequent days and will continue to be vigilant.1 point -

I believe the problem lies with this function, @Lost_Warrior. This function is func_18426 If we assume someone's reset time is Saturday 15 October 2022 03:00:00 UTC and he logs in today at some point prior to 6 AM UTC. He will fail the first check because the current day doesn't match the stat day. Plus, the current hour doesn't go above 6 AM UTC. So there's this time window between 12 AM to 6 AM UTC where his reset time reflects the Friday UFO stage despite logging in today on Monday. Until said player logs in back after 6 AM UTC, that's when the game updates "CBV_RESET_TIME" with a new value. The solution should be to subtract the "current_day" from "stat_day" and if the result is 2 or more, as in two days or more have elapsed since past reset time, then update "CBV_RESET_TIME" with a new value.1 point -

Missed the first one but got the second today. I was tidying my room while I called a limo from Agatha Baker, placed the waypoint at the top of the map and told the driver to floor it. I was already there when I got back, so I walked close to shore to have a better view and the UFO was waiting for me. My trip started at 23:00 and the UFO sighting happened around 1:00-2:00 AM, all of this in Invite Only. So I can confirm they do spawn in I/O1 point -

My headcanon is that the alarm goes off BECAUSE of the blackmail. Ses says she's going to send the pictures even if we do get the access codes. If I was the manager I'd be watching and pull the alarm as soon as my blackmailer entered the vault. Get them killed or put in prison and try to hide my part of it. The clothes come with the security car. So, at least there's that... But yeah, it's poor writing and design. Tony values not getting puke in his car over saving a life. My character agrees.1 point
