I just realized something. The script that handles the freemode preps for VIP Contract is called "fm_content_vip_contract_1". It's kinda obvious, but it does seem like the next update may likely expand on the Agency with the second VIP Contract.

I'm impressed by your dedication and commitment and the way you stayed true to the spirit of DYOM. Backwards compatibility has always been a very important issue, and it's good to see you honour that. I hope you will be able to resist the pressure of the tsunami of feature-requests you'll get and select the ones that will fit the best and stimulate the creativity of the missionbuilders and that you will choose stability and quality over quantity of new features. It's very hard to keep things stable with all the weird quirks of the scm-opcodes, but you seem to be on the good path. We've long been discouraging people from making their own "versions" of DYOM, never because of any copyright claims, but to prevent ending up with many incompatible versions, that would just split up and divide the community. Your focus on backwards compatibility makes me hopefull.

Huge disconnect with those that mod story mode and offline. 1) Hex/Pearls. Can look very misleading and much nicer on the graphic mods that players use on PC and look like utter sh*t online. 2) Driving and flags. When the S2 came out, you declared it one of the best cars to drive (as did I). When I went into Online, it drove like utter garbage. So take a grain of salt when someone has a take on an unreleased online car. 3) Majority of people that come to this forum clearly don't mod. So when someone is petulant and writes "I won't buy this for $0"... what does that add to the forum? It's just garbage gutter comments. It's FREE. Don't like it? Don't have to buy it. The Range Rover is a cruiser around town nowadays. Far removed from it's prominent days for the farmer and not the city worker. I would say it gets me from the Casino to Ponsonbys rather well. For Free, it is a great car. 4) We all know rockstar are very inconsistent with the cars that come from update to update and within updates. 5) Rockstar devs aren't really car fanatics, after how many years do we need to come to this conclusion? This doesn't stop the forum getting all hyped from update to update and continually disappointed. 5b) Everyone wanted something different for a free Christmas. We've been wanting a mid engine V8 Ferrari derivative and V12 Lamborghini for how many years? They've never listened. Why would they suddenly change and give us something decent for Christmas? 6) I don't see any issue with the Baller ST. If user owns an existing LE, he can sell it and own the ST for free. He's made profit for the day although he has taken a depreciation hit. I can reclaim $000s from a purchase 5 years ago now. 7) Most vanillaworks modders are toxic and also crybabies. One user couldn't believe my brother owns a Ferrari and thought I was faking it. I call him out and call him poor for using a patreon and getting barely any cash for it. Maybe if he stopped his piss ass mods and got out of his basement, he would be able to buy something decent, instead of shelling out the cash on some paid model tool that does nothing for his life. Mind you, he stayed muted in the forums and ran his mouth in discord (A coward) where he friends prop up his sh*tty patreon and awful looking mods. I guess the smallest men in the room have self-inflated egos in their own worlds.

It's just nice. It's not about nostalgia, or anything like that. It's just a cool period that hasn't been done properly by Rockstar. And I'd just like to see them do a proper 80's Miami with modern tech. Plus the music and 80's technology would be cool for a setting. These are just my personal feelings, though.

Okay why is this so true. They are a bunch of incels and alt-right rejects that seem to hate anyone better off than them, but they do still make some very good stuff. IDK. Do I like this car? Yeah because it does a better job at looking good than the LWB. But I honestly think they could've done something a bit more original.

You need to purchase the Baller LE LWB(armored) to get the SecuroServ CEO Baller for free, which is a surprisingly useful land vehicle to summon if you find yourself somewhere away from where PVs spawns and you got no money for Buzzard or Sparrow. Also the armored version has explosion resistant armor and bullet resistant windows. This sh*t right here has NONE of that. It's really a waste of resources, I got myself one of these for free but I still feel ripped off from the money I spent upgrading it.

I hate when they add real people into the game. It was cute in VCS, but in GTA Online it's going overboard. I don't mind the radio personalities as much, but I rather they pretend to be parodies of themselves. Rockstar has the same problem as the Simpsons, long time ago they used famous people as fictional characters but now they just plop in the famous people directly into the series without anything changes. And yeah, bring on Yusif or Love Fist or something that's not a real celebrity. Though Rosalía is barely a celebrity, at least outside of Latin America. Never heard of her, and it's f*cking silly they give her the second VIP mission after someone like f*cking Dre, it's a massive downgrade. (Still rather have had Dre play Madd Dog or something instead of himself)

Sir, are you high??? Anyway I mod on PC so all these fn cars free to me. But if they have faults I will make them known. The fact is Rockstar does a worse job on some cars than the lore community. I mean comparing a AAA franchise to a couple of talented foreign modelers who don't get paid much or at all to do this sh*t... If I commissioned it, someone could model a lore Velar and give it a uniqur interior with lawn chairs and screens and a wine cooler and two tone interior... meanwhile Rockstar added 2 parts to an already existing car and called it a day. So yes I will criticize his thing even if I still drive it.

ah, that's really something that can be fixed with a background script. but given that actual critical issues are left unpatched while small money/dupe glitches are immediately fixed on the f*ckin spot, don't have much faith in seeing that fixed anytime soon if ever

Speaking about crimes, I want GTA 6 to shift the focus from the usual heists a little, maybe one or another throughout the game's story, but I wanna see drugs and weapons trafficking as a way to make money, dealing stolen vehicles, burglary, assassination contracts, illegal street races, taking over gang territories, business and such...

I've driven the ST, this is what I think of it........ Do better R*.

Some lowlife killed me and my friend after we spawned after Cayo. Then came back on his bike and did it again from a distance, so I realized he's a modder. Then he somehow followed me to a different session and killed me remotely with his script and told me not to cry about it. And then he came back yet again to a different session, with the same rank but a different name, and he crashed my friend's game. Rockstar won't do anything about that, and I can't even report the guy because he keep changing names somehow.

You can find about it many pages back, but anyways: in 2017 two guys got their hands on real pre-release GTA V builds from 2012. But in early 2018, due to the absolute attention-seeking dimwits that the guys were, they ignored all already-known warnings to avoid getting in trouble and continued to pulbicly post about it until Rockstar/Take-Two sent private investigators to them and the builds were sent back to Rockstar. Sad that we keep losing these kinds of things due to them falling in the hands of idiots.

The wording in the newsletter "Franklin's first contract" and the way it's listed in the patch notes, and elsewhere "The Contract: Dr Dre" leads me to believe the same. It also gives them an easy way to tie in new stories. We might be getting OG Loc as well. The Agency assistant was talking about how a squeaky "gangster" called trying to get ahold of Franklin. The assistant recognized him, called him "Jeffrey", upsetting him. He also mentioned that he hadn't heard of him since he worked the door at his shows back in the 90's.

They did kind of make it obvious we'd get more, I bet it's gonna be Rosalía, and I bet a lot of the content is already produced, just not present in this build. Remains to be seen whether we'll get it before E&E or with E&E.

I'd have definitely preferred if they gave us a Gresley SXT or Hellfire. But, truth be told; i don't hate this ride as much as other people do. Does have its flaws, for sure. But it sounds so good in first person For me, this is more of just a free roam ride. Rather than one used for missions. Skål

I just cant get over 2 things: Who on earth thought the LWB was a good idea for size? And who thought it was a good idea to put this old 90's interior in a luxury car? The same guy who did the Jubilee probably. This is one of those christmas presents where you say thank you out of politeness, but deep down you know you wanted something completely different. Anyway, here's mine.

LOL, all these people crying about a free car. What makes you think you're entitled to a free car anyway? Are you all just doing this for likes? A free car is a free car, you get what you are given. Let's not forget, Rockstar doesn't care about you kiddos. Replace one kiddo with the next. You are nothing to Rockstar and you're certainly replaceable in Rockstar's eyes. Their historic and current playing base certainly backs that take. I think it's fine to bitch about the car and its shortcomings but to say "won't waste my garage space on $0 and etc" shows how petulant you are and why Rockstar doesn't take you seriously nor should they ever listen to you. Tell me, why should Rockstar waste resources on yourself. If you won't waste $0 on a free car then I say Rockstar force you to buy the car, individually like other games do. Then maybe, you'll have a bit of gratitude when you do come across a free car.

Something a bit interesting that may be a leftover from Cops n' Crooks that snuck its way into the update, or could just be a bug. According to @Classique in the comments of this post, the police bike was not capable of being painted in the past, yet it now appears that it can be since Imani's source bike option can spawn a blacked out variant with regular plates. I'm guessing the game is pulling from a random list of motorcycles in the game (except oppressors and likely the highly expensive ones) and has the chance of spawning usually unobtainable paint schemes onto bikes like the police bike and sovereign. Speaking of which, is there anything in the background that has a list of all possible bikes that can spawn through Imani?

Same with the payphone hits. I swear I must have gotten 'Tech Entrepreneur' like 3 times in a row at one point. How many payphone hits are there supposed to be exactly? It seems to cycle back and forth between 3 or 4 of the same payphone hits.

Good to see that god mode is still running rampant. I guess I'll just continue to stay in invite-only sessions.

I still believe we might hear something about it next year. I mean, the worst case scenario is a 2023 announcement but if it goes beyond that... I don't know , unless they're planning to release another new game in the meantime. It's possible they could try and release it just a year after announcement, like they did with RDR1 (2009 announcement and 2010 release) then 2023 announcement would make more sense. Probably E&E's commercial performance would factor a few things as well.
