The Tuners update added mentions of Buried Stashes, new collectibles we are yet to see, and mentioned a Metal Detector we can equip to investigate these stashes. Much like RDO's Metal Detector. Rockstar continued to update these Buried Stashes with new code and changes as part of the Contract update. We now have coordinates for 20 locations over Cayo Perico. It works the same as Shipwrecks. One per day collectibles. And there's a new mention of a "fm_content_metal_detector" script nowhere listed within the actual scripts. In addition, we were supposed to have 10 variants of a random freeroam event tied with the Metal Detector, but this is yet to make it into the public build. I'm starting to think this is possibly some exclusive content for GTAV E&E? One of many additions to Cayo Perico?13 points -

Holy sh*t the animations in Asset recovery are terrible. Character takes 5 seconds to open the safe, stares at the contents like they're Nietzsche or something, and DOESN'T GRAB THE ITEM. Forcing me to press another button and watch more time wasted in the grabbing animation.11 points -

GTA IV Launcher With this launcher you can add different GTA IV directories and instantly run them through this launcher, so you don't always have to navigate to that directory first to start it from there. So with this launcher, you will always have your GTA IV installations in one place! You can also connect to any currently opened GTA Connected server using this launcher! Just go to the Multiplayer tab, double click on any server, and you will join this specific server! GTA Connected needs to be installed tho. Without it you can't even play GTA Connected. This launcher can be used with steam! So you hit play, select a GTA IV installation, and that specific installation get's started! Of course you can also use all steam functions like the overlay without a problem! (Tutorial on how to use the launcher with steam below) Note: This topic is not 100% complete. I will edit this topic over the days. Requirements .NET Framework 4.7.2 (Should be installed on every Windows 10 machine) Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7. Works best on Windows 10. Downloads GTA IV Launcher Version 1.6 (180MB unzipped) Notes If you're upgrading from version 1.4 or below, you should delete all of your current GTA IV profiles, Shortcuts and Tools and readd them because the behaviour of how the files will get saved changed. It is recommended to start the Launcher as admin. How to run the launcher from steam If you want to use the launcher with steam, navigate to the folder where your steam games are located (Where are my steam games located?) navigate to Grand Theft Auto IV>GTAIV and drag & drop everything from the downloaded folder into the GTAIV folder. Interiors are intentionally designed to be annoying to navigate. Why, instead of the statue across from the Receptionist's desk don't we have a spiral staircase or even a normal staircase going directly to outside our office? Did anyone notice the changes to the KDJ missions? Also this has to be one of the buggiest updates so far. Things that I observed so far: Rockstar changed or cut, intentionally or not, some of the dialogs from Kevin and Sessanta. What I noticed is that the frequency where generic lines are triggered like: "you have to lose the heat," have been decreased and some lines like the infamous "bouncing on the mustache" have been cut, also in the ECU job all Merriweather cars are now Epsilon blue. So yeah, this changes are welcome, and no we don't have any problems with romance or love stories, we have with vulgarities. Next time they make a couple portrayed, they could be based on Baby Driver or Ocean Eleven couples, because two adrenaline junkies, Bonnie and Clyde, will not behave like this, teenage innuendo of "you hang the phone first, I hang it latter my love". Also disrespectful attitude like, while we are risking our life to get jobs done, your contractor is talking about, how he is adjusting his Jacuzzi into energize mode. My character would strangle him with barbed wire for that. We like Franklin for the same reason, respectful, share our "battle hardened" feeling, likable, lovely professionally done character. Now to the bugs: The jobs on the auto-shop board are not rotating for me, always locked in the: Bank Job, Prision Job and ECU Job, people can share if is something on my side. After switching your GTA on-line characters the KDJ missions will fail to launch. There are 3 blank unnamed "arcades" on the auto-shop, one is a cellphone with what appears to be the digital reconstruct device from Cayo Perico, and the other one is a electronic gadget, and the last one will mirror the model of the last selected arcade cabinet (even the gadgets). WARNING DO NOT PLACE THESE, if you do it so, next time you load in the game, the arcade place will be empty, and you will not be able to change it as trying to get in the menu will simply close it. (I tested in my secondary character for science) Related to this, as the game thinks that there are 3 new arcades that we don't own, the golden arcade trophy now is gone for everyone that bought all the arcades, and with it, the Master Trophy too. On the SecuroServ interface the option to buy one crate and to select between Large, Medium and Small Warehouses is gone, one workaround to get one crate (specially the most valuable ones) is to use the interface on the Terrorbyte. There are instances where the Hanger where we have the Doctor Dree finale will not have solid ground or will have a solid invisible door, so far, I have seen one Bogdan fail because of that, and one guy selling a full biker business having the Civilian Buzzards stuck in there "falling through the map", in another video I saw a guy failing the Prision Break plane setup failing because he could not get in.6 points -

Re. Only one VIP Contract. Did dataminers find any more hidden missions or lines in the files? I'm expecting R* to add more VIP contracts (e.g. with Rosalia) but not as a summer update. I'm thinking version 1.2 with a Rosalia contract and then 1.3 with another VIP. Such as 6 new missions with great cut scenes, 5 vehicles, 1 weapon in the armory and branded clothing for that VIP. Perhaps around the time with E&E we may get something ... Given these are real life guests to GTAO, missions won't be in the files now so they can market themselves and build hype. Think summer we will get a different theme (naval, refuse disposal business, RC Toy Store etc) and wouldn't it be great in 2022 Michael's post-GTA V story and then 2023 Trevor's - let's be realistic GTA 6 ain't coming out for a while (when E&E hasn't even launched!)5 points -

Yeah, you are right on that. One thing that i didn't like was all that talk when we were taking a rain of bullets in the ass. And all that pose of the couple "we are the sh*t and mastermind criminals"...hum...not so much, the planing wasn't that most elaborated and only bcz we are doing the action as professional bank robbers that we now are, we managed to pull those scores for them. But, indeed, KDJ, from the point of R*'s argument writting, idk where he got the fact that he's a hustler...the guy pulled some chick with some criminal history, ok, but that's it...he never was a criminal before but now that he have a criminal girlfriend now he thinks that he's gangster? Not to mention that i feel that there's some passive-agressive posture in their relationship...in many dialogue lines we can noticed that there's the alpha (sessanta) and the omega (KDJ) bcz he tries to get noticed by her while her tells him that if he don't act or show that he have "what it gets to be her man" she would dump her. One thing that i noticed in this update and most people don't even think about it, is the fact that Tanisha came back to Franklin. And let me be clear, Franklin is an "ok guy", like almost everyone in the game are criminals, but some are complete sociopaths like El Rubio and other have at least some moral standards, like Franklin for example. But, he's a criminal nonethless and Tanisha that back in SP saying that she didn't want him bcz he was a criminal and couldn't "grow up" and thus the reason she went with the doctor - or a lawyer? nah, i think it was a doctor - anyway, at principle, a good guy with a honest job but what it turns out to be? Like what happened 90% of real life cases, girls preferring the bad boy. What happened with tanisha was what happens with a lot of girls (sorry if some girl is reading this and not agreeing, i'm not calling you nothing in specific, i'm just generalizing, but there's a lot of women like this, even if you tried to "rearrange" the facts to sound less bad and more "female unity" - which is a bullsh*t on it's own, btw, bcz, women destroy one another bcz biological competition...a "brohood" is more true in that regards - but back to the point, Tanisha in the end after all, opted for Franklin bcz he's a bad boy and/or bcz he's now rich and successeful - any comparison with reality is just a coincidence, lmao...5 points -

AFKing with Car Meet clothes gains you 200 Rep within 48 minutes. You could earn that completing a tuner contract depending on how long it takes you. Should be roughly 30 to 40 minutes. Therefore, you will always earn Rep faster doing Tuner Contracts than simply AFKing.4 points -

In rescue just call in buzzard/sparrow and it will be a lot faster than karuma. I've seen some people struggling with car/bike repo mission and extra enemies spawning. Pro tip, once you locate vehicle, do not get into it, go open gates first (button gets active after locating) then you can completely bypass second wave of mobs. And yes, it works for monkey mission too + when you open humane gates, feel free to step outside and drop some BST (assuming you're ceo), this way dying from mesa soldiers is way less likely. Or just deal with them on foot/any other preferred way.4 points -

Here we are, a month later. Lately, I've realized that all of my posts on all of my threads i've authored are not dissimilar to that of a recipe blog making you scroll through a long-winded story written by the Mormon housewife out in Utah that's sharing it that you don't really care about, just trying to figure out how to make some God forsaken lemon squares. I can't help it, but I can at least be decent enough to put it behind a spoiler. Francis McReary (1991) f*ck this guy. You don't wanna know how much time i spent hand painting this asshole's upper lip. Up there is my first go at him, but I'd come to the conclusion i made him entirely too smooth for 1991. I'd added back some age to his face, as well as made him a less half-dead color, or else he'd just stick out like a sore thumb in the family portrait that'll be replacing the desk photo that currently has Francis & the LCPD. I was thinking about that, actually, how weird and sad it is how there's mostly pictures of Frankie and the bacon up in the place when its apparent the guy doesn't really come home or interact with the family beyond Ma's calls. The real issue is how young he looks compared to Gerry when this asshole is just barely taller than Packie. I figure it's also the fact that he's gotta be 28 years old here and apparently willingly wore this sweater vest, but would you put it past him? I should honestly give him sideburns or give him his mustache back if this still bothers me. Gerald McReary (1991 + 1998) Now Gerry's just entirely too f*cking tall. He looks older than Francis because of just how Goddamn tall he is. You know, ever since I started working on all this McReary family stuff, me and my friends stopped joking about that line with Francis telling Niko he reminded him of himself- sure, that really is himself, with Francis being a really obvious Niko edit, but now looking at the family all together, Francis is no longer the outlier, it's f*ckin' Gerry. I guess you could vaguely see Maureen in him, but man. I'm starting to think she had some sort of affair going on with Old Man Boccino instead. He unintentionally looks much squarer in the face without any of his facial hair. I also somebody else's hair texture for that youthful, tousled sorta whatever. And made it fuller on the sides. You try telling this guy who's like 6 foot 8 he has to wear a sweater vest. Not happening. But yeah, I was at a loss of what to do with Ger in 1991 because I'm struggling making this meathead look younger when he isn't as baby faced as anybody else here in terms of bone structure. But 1998, however... That's him. That's a guy who totally may or may have not allegedly killed his own father for good reason. The real issue is, I was planning on giving Young Ray/Ray if he was actually 32 like the LCPD says some big sideburns like this, but Gerry looks great in these, and then they'd REALLY look like secret half brothers. And I'm sort of in the middle of making a new uppr for him. More from 1991... I could have sworn something like this had already existed in IV, but I couldn't find it if it does. So I made this out of Niko's uppr 007 & uppr 015(?) and made the jacket more of a blazer than a full suit jacket. If i get around to reinstalling max and buying a stupid $28 plugin to be able to export older ASCII fbx so i can actually work between blender & max more seamlessly I should release it for Niko, because I feel like making something this nice looking only to exclusively use it for Pa McReary in this one render would be some kind of crime. these in-game screenshots are actually slightly outdated as I made small edits to Gerry and Francis, I'll remake the in-game texture and update this post later, but i wanted to get this out before Christmas. I'll go more in depth about Ma in another post, and I'll learn to become less embarrassed about how Packie & Katie came out eventually. I really just have to keep looking at f*cked up kid Franklin and tell myself that I've done at least a little better than that.4 points -
