Before their review went live, I fully expected Polygon (And Kotaku, the usual culprits) to go off on a political tangent in their GTA trilogy remaster review, just as they did with Far Cry 6. They certainly didn't disappoint. It was laughably predictable and, quite frankly, embarrassing journalism. The reviewer inevitably questions the trilogy's humour, especially the radio station ads for their deeply offensive jokes. Because heaven forbid the GTA trilogy, which has become well renowned and liked for its comedy/satire, would include this material in the remastered versions as well. He questions why Rockstar didn't remove this content, considering they removed the confederate flag from Phil Cassidy's tee in GTA 3. I can't imagine playing a classic GTA game and having my blood boil by radio station ads from two decades ago because they don't reflect my own extreme political views. They used vast majority of their Far Cry 6 article space to rant about politics and they've done the same here again. Instead of actually discussing gameplay mechanics, story, soundtrack - Things you'd normally expect in a video game review, they've written something that reads more like a party manifesto released just before a British general election. Fixers as in reference to say the Fixers from Cyberpunk 2077. Moodymann & Sessanta are examples of Fixers. They grant us tasks/missions to do for their own clients. Expect the same. However, this time, I am guessing Dr.Dre, DJ Pooh and Jimmy Iovine are likely to be our contracts or fixers.

Starting on a wheel replacement for Vice City with original textures but more detailed wheels. Looking ok so far. Might do some full custom and detailed ones after this.

It has come to our attention that @HalfOfAKebab (Lewis) unfortunately passed away in his sleep between the evening of November 11th and the morning of November 12th. The name will no doubt ring bells amongst the GTA Online community, as Lewis was seen to be consistently helpful, patient and receptive. Despite his absence as of late, the name is still a familiar sight for those that browsed GTAForums during the release of many updates, most notably The Doomsday Heist, offering support, answering questions and generally contributing in a way that makes us proud to have had such a member for a relatively short time. We learned of this news via an update from a project he was involved in, the Minecraft Omniarchive, which was dedicated to preserving all updates of the game. The news of his passing is as sad as it is unexpected. He will be sorely missed and our thoughts here at GTANet are with his friends and family.

Yeah I have a feeling Cayo Perico spoiled us a bit with all the early teasers. I suppose they wanted to tease the new location as early as possible to get people excited . Most other updates have been announced about a week before release.

I just hope they don't ruin those three and make them annoying like KDJ and his ho, god forbid that happens.

Yeah I totally agree with that estimate on the time line of f*ckery. I wasn't in the loop on Dan's new company, Links to any articles would be appreciated and don't get me wrong, I don't feel bad about the scathing review of my own of rockstar as I've always been this way since the start, and personally feel I, like many of us out there on here, was actually a small cog in a massive part in the success AND direction of the franchise. So they need a spanking. But I honestly think that's the last time they can screw me over. Bearing in mind not just GTA5 from 2013 to now, but The original trilogy I've invested in for them more than once, first generation, 10 year anniversary, android versions, ipad version, PS Store versions, Steam versions... So to do what they've done is actually kind of offensive at this point, and it should be to any true fan of GTA. I remember them sending me practically all of the San Andreas promotional merchandise & a tonne of stickers for free when I helped them out with some pre-release san andreas f*ckery back in 2004. hand written note too. My how those days are over.

Today's event is lasting till December 2nd.

Ya know, I am a liberal. Have always been a Democrat. But even I hate all this woke sh*t. I really do. What the hell is wrong with people? It's like everyone is clamoring for a society where people are all padded up in protective foam and bubble-wrap. I really wish we could all stop worrying and obsessing so much about everyone's f**king feelings. For the record, and I am not a fan of this Whatever Edition of The Trilogy, but I'm glad these games weren't heavily censored. I do think it was a stupid, obsequious move to remove the one or two little snippets they did, to pander to the woke crowd. Why someone thought it would be a good idea to remove Phill Cassidy's Confederate Flag shirt is completely beyond me.

GTA6 has a 6 in it's name. 6 = 6; GTA6 confirmed.

I hardly think we will have a bonus on Cayo Perico Heist payout. At best, we will just have the Panther Statue again.

Well tbh the "classic" Rockstar was over around the time Max Payne 3 and LA Noire released and kinda flopped. Ever since then it's just GTA or Red Dead while the smaller / experimental stuff just ceased to exist seemingly in favor of GTAO updates. This company would never release Manhunt today, hell Bully couldn't even get past the conceptual stage. On the other hand the technology is at the point now where indies could take up the mantle of even old school GTA so who knows, maybe we'll see a "spritiual successor" to Rockstar in that space. And let's not forget Dan Houser's new company, maybe something is cooking there that Rockstar fans will appreciate.

Hope everyone is good here. I'm still keeping an eye on the thread but in my spare time I've been recording the stranger mission dialogue videos for John I've been working on which should be all ready in the next couple of days. Takes a long time because of all the replaying under different conditions. I had them almost finished but then I realised that the journal entries for John change based on what parts Arthur has done previously so at the end of each video I'm thinking I might include those too as it seems important.
