You joke but that image is interesting, because unlike the pictures in the North Point Mall in VC which are Guarma, that looks to be RAGE (vegetation + clouds, etc) except that exact house doesn't seem to be anywhere even in GTA V. The drive way is too wide, etc. It could be a real life image overlaid on an in-game image of another RAGE game, but it also looks kinda gamey. Not saying it's aliens GTA VI but...17 points -

Why did they remodel clothing models and half ass them? They couldnt even make actual buttons, they just put yellow dots where they should be. This character 100% looks better in the original, like many other models.15 points -

since i'm still waiting for that Nexusmod email (tried everything in their help section), i'll just release it here for now. NightHawk's Carcols-Fix This mod fixes a few old bugs in the carcols file: - Fixed color # 98 malachite poly (the color code had a typo. Most noticeable as it is used on Big Smokes Glendale) - Fixed the color lines for "Cheetah", "Slamvan" & "Moonbeam" (Cheetah and Slamvan had missing "," and thus would skip color options, Moonbeam had an unavailable color listed) - Adjusted "Sadlsh*t" to have the same colors as the regular "Sadler" (One value was off for some reason) - Removed duplicate colors on "Flatbed" & "Camper" - Removed the 9th color option from "Stafford" as the game is coded to only load a maximum of 8. + Optional version wich ads a black stretch variation (I always felt it was missing): Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1C1bAjNQofU3LTM5bf6yDY2aFAZwHzmgw/view?usp=sharing15 points -

Definitive Edition is dead
Leather Rebel and 12 others reacted to Cyper for a topic
The definitive edition is officially dead. It's obvious that the game has far more issues than the characters models look and various deformities. Most prominent is the atmosphere effects; gta III, for example, had this faded look with a green/blue-like filter (known as trials effect and later versions). When it was raining both GTA III and VC had this green-looking effect going on. In GTA III the streets where also riddled with newspapers and leaves in but in the definitive editions the streets are clean - both clean in the sense that there are no rubbish but also clean in the sense that the asphalt looks new and cartoonish. As a result, the atmosphere in GTA III, VC and SA feels to similar. Then we've got loads of non-solid surfaces all over the map in each game, various problems with animations swimming, gym anim, fat/buffskinny anim, NPCs anim and so forth), incorrect parallax interiors (for example, Zero's RC Shop has a clothing store parallax interior),no heat haze, weird fire effects - there isn't even CLOUDS in the game - only a backdrop of clouds. No fog effects on the ground. Then you got minor issues suchas the fact that the smoke from tires is black instead of white and burnout leaves no black marks on the ground. Rain effects are horrible, and taken out of the Truman Show. I am glad I not pre-order the game. Because here is the rub: This game will never be fixed by Rockstar Games/Grove Street Games. First there is simply too much to fix. Only the fact that the game has loads of non-solid surfaces demostrate that Rockstar did not playtest it properly. Solid surfaces is basics. Secondly, we're talking about the remaster of games that are ~20 years old, meaning, there wont be much copies sold anyway. Third, there is no online, meaning no shark cards sold. Fourth, the game has a metacritic score of 0.7. From an economical perspective, there is simply no good reasons for Rockstar to fix this mess. Further, the Expanded and Enhaced version is soon out anyway, and once that happens, the definitive edition will most likely be completely abandoned and replaced by shark cards. Sorry to say all this, but I think its true, and I believe the future will prove it.13 points -

A very logical question and I totally agree with the sentiments. Apparently the only way they do remasters is from the PC version because supposedly some of the same bugs are inherited from the PC version - that's according to some other YouTuber I was watching. Rockstar have had more let-downs than wins lately. It's tipped more about 4 out of 5 things is a total L for Rockstar. Shark Cards... microtransactions in a freemium online game about pursuing money... re-releasing GTA V.. again.. disaster San Andreas mobile port replacing the original San Andreas, disastrous GTA Trilogy Definitive edition done by the same guys that completely botched the first SA mobile port. And what stage does Rockstar/T2 go.. Grove Street Games, you f*cked up.. again? Why doesn't such a rich company actually do the remaster themselves or pay for a reputable developer (if they must outsource it) to do it. Then they shut down mods that are doing a much better job. I'm really done with GTA. No wonder Houser, Lazlow and Benzies bailed or were squeezed out. I think something very nefarious is going on over there. Someone is call shots and making a string of incompetent decisions and whoever it is must have majority power because I can't see how anyone with anyone with an iota of respect for the Rockstar name would look at the trilogy and go "yep, that's great" or think Shark Cards was a good idea for the gamer. All these decisions don't sound like someone with a coherent mind, more like someone who's been on the nose bag. Like Kleinfeld from Carlito's Way, sniffing the white, making all these crazy decisions and just throwing away a really good thing away. The only win Rockstar has had in the last 8 years is RDR2 single player.13 points -

Someone in the Twitter community who is pretty much an LA Noire expert doesn't think it's that game and I'm inclined to believe her. 9 women can't make a baby in 1 month, adding more developers will only make a few things faster like churning out assets but the majority of development simply takes time; also, if you add more devs, you're adding more complexity to the project - many times you can slap an extra dev onto a specific piece of the pie and it manages to take longer because of that added complexity.12 points -

I saw someone here suggested to add buff CJ animations back in the game. So yesterday i tried to add them back editing the ped.ifp file and it was a complete sucess. The only thing that should be added it's some kind of way to only activate it when CJ achieves the maximum musculature like it used to happen but i don't know how to do that. Also. Nice to meet you guys.11 points -

I agree, just because this cock up happened with the source code, let not be fooled into forgetting what happened leading up to this release, buying the DE even if it is with the intent of modding it, is still putting money in take2's pockets and even if DE is supposedly easier to mod, there are still mods getting removed under the DMCA and by purchasing DE you are directly or indirectly funding these lawsuits against the modding community...11 points -

The image on it's own isn't what makes it so sus, IMO. It's the fact that it is a seemingly Florida style property amongst a display of GTAV photos, all with UFOs (also like the recent Halloween event in GTAO). Remember the original image is all within one texture (see below). They could have used a Mirror Park property there, but chose not to.10 points -

Yeah this new Balla model though ffs Once again they did the homie from the Front Yard Balla OG gangs "DIRTY" as f*ck on whole new low level. How the f*ck you gonna tell me Auntie poulet goes from VC giving Tommy strong potent tea beverages in the late 80's then moves to LS and starts gangbanging with Balla OG's in the early 90's on the streets of LS running up and questioning CJ's gang status. Its absolutely ridiculous. And yes this is canon now for both VC and SA.10 points -

Sadly, there ain't no fixing this mess. Their only option to truly fix this disaster would be to get rid of War Drum Studios aka We're Dumb Studios (I refuse to call them that other name), start the project over with absolutely no consideration for porting anything from the mobile versions, use actual in-house talent to recreate these games. But then at that point you would probably just be taking away time, money and resources from new fresh releases. So yeah the trilogy is dead forever. Truly breaks my heart.10 points -

Thankfully we can pretty much say that the entire community is aware of the T2 vs Modding situation, considering the many recent videos and social media comments I saw do shed light on this subject. To make things worse for them: they are actively sh*tting on Rockstar/GSG/T2 because modders are now fixing the game just as previously predicted. Unfortunately with people making mods to fix the game - that is enough to make it an experience that is worth your time and money, IMO we should discourage modding more often considering T2 is still striking down random mods and overall treats us like human waste. https://www.change.org/p/rockstar-games-boycott-grand-theft-auto-the-trilogy-the-definitive-edition On that note, the petition reached a thousand signatures9 points -

After a few days digging into the uncompiled files and such, GSG have done some many hack fixes to address issues. It's a chain break. Fix/touch one thing, the rest breaks. I really don't understand why Rockstar Games doesn't spend time and money onto rewriting the game. The code is so f*cking old. Rockstar Games made a plugin which makes UnrealRage work together and then the head of GSG also made a plugin which makes support of old file types. It's all a mess. No wonder the game is suffering from so many issues. They literally have to nitpick everything. Might as well rewrite everything.9 points -
