Here are some of the mods I made for GTA 3 so far. Better Wasted Screen: Better Busted Screen: Maria Menu Screens (Instead of Misty): Better Rain (A bit less "fake rain" effect, looks better in motion now, TBH Screenshot doesn`t do it justice): All of the mods are uploaded on Nexus mods, they should be live soon (Well as soon as Nexus adds the game to their list ) Much more to come, to all 3 games.34 points -

I'll speak my mind: EA Games: started doing sh*t, releasing incomplete games to sell the rest of the content as DLC: It suffered a Hacker attack and had the Source Code of FIFA and Frostbite Nintendo: takes down fan projects, launches a horrible "emulator", they charge high prices for games: It suffered a hacker attack and had 2 Terabyte of leaked information, including source code for games, consoles, etc. Ubisoft: Like EA, releases incomplete games to sell the rest of the content as DLC, games almost always buggy and you even have to pay for skins: It suffered a hacker attack and had its Watch Dogs Legion source code leaked CD Red Projekt: after the shame that was the release of Cyberpunk 2077, it was attacked by hackers and had the complete source code of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 leaked It's only a matter of time before the same happens with Rockstar Games and Take-Two, and when that happens, I'll be HAPPY to have the full Source Code of the Classic GTAs, it will revolutionize the Mods They deserve it, for the way they treat their players, taking down awesome mods, releasing something Horrible that they have the audacity to call a Remaster, priced like a current game, thinking only about profit and not quality, so they DESERVE IT For me? Rockstar Games died in 2018, since Leslie Benzies, Lazlow, Dan Houser left the company, And it's sad to see that there are people DEFENDING what they are doing, not only in relation to this "Remaster", but also in relation to Modding31 points -

Let’s get this straight I am a fan of r* I’m not bashing or anything but this is ridiculous this is worst than cyberpunk launch. Least the game still runs and not revoked after you bought it. it a damn shame that r* has fallen from grace because they are focus in online and doesn’t show love like the previous games. I get that grove street games were probably crunched or forced by take 2 to make the end of winter quarter. But this is not how you do things r* and take 2 what was a respectful and renown company is now the laughing stock of social media and YouTube and gaming news. angry joe says it better29 points -

Speaking of GSG in this topic i love the fact that few modders managed to reverse engineer two whole games in like a year, fix a lot of original bugs, port it to numerous others platforms, some even no longer officially supported, and all that for free, while GSG, a professional studio, with access to actual source code from R* and already some experience with the game as they ported 4 of Rockstar titles already to mobile, didnt f*cking manage to fix their own bugs they made while porting the games from PC to phone. And THEY WERE EVEN PAID FOR IT26 points -

I'm having goosebumps out of f*cking shock looking at how they messed up this game (and the others) what the hell is this? man this sh*t is just unbelievable. Was planning on buying it once it hits Steam but they can go f*ck themself if they think I'll be handing them 60$ for this clownass scam remaster, guess I'll give it a try once it has a proper crack. Make no mistake their actions by delisting the originals, banning mods and threatening modders that fixed the originals (instead of using those fixes and working with people that actually know what they're doing unlike this asshat studio), same old bugs are there while introducing ton of new bugs, glitches, unfinished mess, sh*tty performance and every other half assed thing they did (which is what the Trilogy is...a half assed remaster for a quick cash grab not to mention forcing people to buy all three at once for 60$) deserves one action and one only (you know what I'm talking about). "do not support scammers and do not hand your money if the job isn't finished" isn't that what we've been taught to do? well here is the perfect example for that. But hey they added nice trees and grass so yeah it's all good.22 points -

"In contrast to those confusing changes, Rockstar decided to leave a GTA San Andreas mission where a character tasks you with hunting down an apparent gay man to hide a prior relationship with him, completely intact. It's not a good look for a remastered game in 2021" - Tyler Colp / PC Gamer https://www.pcgamer.com/gta-trilogy-definitive-edition-is-a-mess/ We have all this butchered features, questionable design choices and on top of that, people who paid money for it can't play it because R*/GSG/T2 combo messed up so bad that the game is pulled to do damage control. But killing Freddy is especially focused on and is deserving of its own paragraph of criticism because it is "problematic" to kill a prison rapist who happens to be gay. Obviously not acceptable in 2021! You know what's not acceptable? Scamming people with a 60$ product that doesn't function.18 points -

Anyone still stupid enough to shill for Rockstar after this f*cking disastrous trainwreck of a so called remaster needs their skulls re-exaimed for brain damage. The bar has truly lowered when you get people lining up to kiss corporate ass when they sh*t out godawful "definitive editions" at full price only to then yoink the games away due to their own sleezy incompetence and yet it won't matter in the long run because they'll still make billions from gullible retards throwing money at anything with their logo on it and I was one of those morons who sank £55 into this dumpster fire of a game thinking it would be something special but nope. After the way they've screwed the modding community and their classic fans with this pathetic cash grab I'm honestly done with their sh*t. There is zero justification to posting pictures of the developers to judge the company or release, and if your justification is "diversity" then you're just coming across as fragile and many times even bigoted, based on other comments we've seen on these forums and that we've had to remove. Be better. Anyone caught posting images of the developers to be offensive to them or doing that to start yelling about "wokeness" or diversity will be temporarily banned, end of. Slurs = permanent bans. Forum rules exist for a reason and for a long time. Judge the companies and their actions all you want, judge the release, don't be as fragile as to take it personally and go after people, their appearances, creed, or sexuality/identity/ability, which have nothing to do with the quality of the games. f*cking Christ.16 points -

Check Vadim M twitter (NationalPepper), it looks like he have all the fun ripping apart the whole Trilogy, a lot of things were leaked with this release including internal scripts, word documents, script sources etc. Vadim's Latest tweet: Damn, this whole release starting from the early release in Australia, butchered models, oversaturation in many cutscenes, multiple bugs and glitches, crappy performance and Trilogy being pulled from Rockstar Games Launcher then ending at the release itself with included scripts and other internal tools, to say this release is a disaster is a complete understatement, It's a F*CKING ABBOMINATION of a release. If GSG contract is not terminated by Rockstar/Take 2 after all this sh*t, the future of this franchise is really doomed to say it lightly. We assumed as much at this point, but in an article from IGN entitled 'Where's IGN's GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition Review?', they state 'we only got our hands on the collection of games when you did – after it went live on the PSN store earlier today.'. It's very telling that Rockstar didn't provide any advanced copies, even for the biggest gaming publications. So Rockstar were either aware of the issues that could hurt review scores, or at the very least they didn't consider it enough of an upgrade or important enough of a launch to warrant a fresh review. While on IGNs site, I noticed this article too, entitled 'GTA Trilogy Is Having a Rough Launch in Multiple Respects'. So it is becoming increasingly clear that the mainstream narrative - not just from the scrutineering superfans on GTAF - is that this launch has been a disappointment and riddled with all kinds of issues. It is kinda weird to bring it up in this thread but I'm gonna say that gaming is definitely on the brink of death for me as a whole. I cannot think of a single developer who has kept their integrity. Ubisoft who sometimes tried ambitious games (despite failing at them like AC Unity and Watch Dogs) have completely become soulless and put out the same recycled products every year. I rather see them at least "try" instead of this bullsh*t. Valve barely put out games anymore and love their comfort zone. Games like Cyberpunk fail because some shareholder absolutely NEEDS this game to be released before the deadline or he's gonna lose 1 percent of his infinite money. I'm not even gonna talk about EA, Blizzard and Activision. Sony did have a couple of impressive exclusives last gen but now they have decided to release 70$ games for some reason and act high and mighty about everything just because they beat Xbox last generation. And here we are, witnessing Rockstar's inevitable doom. I'm still gonna give them a chance for GTA 6 given that they have always been bad with remasters anyway. But I can't help but think their decline is inevitable. They either release a good game once every 7 years or join the rest. The industry has been captured by greedy bastards who only care about their pockets. Just like the Movie and Music industry. We had a good run.15 points -

I have to admit that these remasters are total garbage. Pretty much all complains that have been made are valid. Even if you overlook all the graphical glitches and "artistic choices" these games are still almost unplayable. I mean input lag is insane compared to originals, physics are ruined and there are all kinds of advancements like invisible walls included in these "definitive" editions. I put over 10 hours in San Andreas and I really hope that I didn't. So, back to the recent playthrough on PS2 version. Then, I thought that maybe I should give Vice City a try. If possible that was even more of a disappointment than San Andreas. So, I started a new game with the good old Playstation 2. And you know what? It's actually still a good game once you get used to resolution and low framerate. Even if I personally prefer these PS2 versions (not with modern TVs though) I can also highly recommend the original PC version with mods. Oh wait, did I say something. Yeah, I almost forgot that those versions are gone and so is the modding community. But let's not let the little things like that bother us. Buildings are nice and we got, like, shiny 4K 60 FPS versions with new lighting now, so we shouldn't complain. All in all it's almost impossible to have fun with these new versions, since the gameplay just doesn't feel fun at all.15 points -

After further thought I'm no longer excited about any future R* output. And you can't mention RDR2 since it was in development for about 5 years before GTA Online started to gain popularity. It will have a serviceable story and be like another Red Dead Online - With dual currency, battle pass, peer to peer and having to pay real money for cars and stuff. Take Two Style. Most people don't think about this they just want VI even though they fail to see the road it's gonna take.14 points -

They could have called it the "One and Only" edition for all I care. People who knew better would still play the superior versions. The problem here is, not only many great mods died and modders have been sued but they had the audacity to remove the originals, blocking people from playing them legitimately. If they hadn't done this I would be much more indifferent to this whole mess, there have been bad versions of the trilogy before, I would simply go back and play the classics while pointing new players to those games as well. Now it is not an option because greed > quality.14 points -

R* does make mistakes sometimes but the real cultprit here is TakeTwo. The audacity this company has to send cease & desist letters to people who mod their own, purchased game, in front of the millions of players that love this franchise, knowing that they won't face any repercussions, is the worst part. For Strauss Zelnick, a single dime of profit is worth more than the limitless fun people can have with mods.14 points -

I'm not one of the people who was complaining before launch, but in clear weather (which is most of the time) this game looks seriously bad. Forget about the map looking smaller or whatever, it just does not look good. It looks like a bad ENB that has completely removed all the weather effects and put draw distance to 100%. It doesn't look realistic, it just looks ugly. Even GTA5 had fog effects over far distances. This game has none of that at all. It has zero climate lol. The water also looks really bad in general, even on the ground. They did some great things with this remaster but the clear weather is awful14 points -
