I remember playing the orginals on PlayStation 2 and how everybody though the graphics were amazing and for the time they were but looking back at it now just can't believe how bad the graphics and colors at the time actually were and how far we've come since.... Talking about cnc this has to be one of the most requested DLC by the community. I think rockstar are hugely under estimating how popular and lucrative this could be for them and how many players it would bring back. From being a day one player feel it would bring a whole new concept to the game and freshen it up and could give the game countless expandable possibilities and a new side to an 8 year old game. Some interesting info about GTAVI. It took me 6 bottles of cranberry juice and a few plates of gabagool to convince the guy to tell me all these. Crazy stuff guys - The game itself is divided into five acts and an epilogue. Apart from Vice City players will also be able to access Liberty City (an expanded and enhanced version of IV's map) after completing the third act of the game. Players will have to use airports to travel between the citers. At a certain point in the story players will be subject to a statewide manhunt in Liberty where they must use any means necessary to get back to Vice City. That mission is somewhat inspired by the 1993 film 'The Fugitive' and can take anywhere from 30-40 minutes to 80-90 minutes depending on how players approach the situation. The game will feature a fully functioning season system (and calendar) which will influence the game world and how different missions and are played out. Also like GTA Online and RDR2, players will be able to take a bath in GTAVI where a hidden minigame has been added that lets players beat their meat. You'll also get an achievement called 'No Nut November' if you play through the in game month of November without participating in the game at all. Conversely you'll get the 'Nutcracker' achievement if you participate in the minigame every single day of the in game month of November.8 points -

I am starting to get back in the mood for modding IV again and have started on the conversion of the RT3000. I won't give any definite schedule, but I would like to make progress on it this month. Grand Theft Auto: KEKW City and before you can scream Fake I'd like to let you all know that I got this from a real verified source. Sam Houser's Uncle's cousins stepfather He can confirm. After what feels like a huge gap since the last update for the GTA IV Vehicle Pack, I'm finally back with a near complete update that has cleaned up and fixed a lot of minor things that Rockstar forgot about. First up here is the list for what's been updated and added into 1.6: In this update we have SEVEN new interiors, a good chunk had to be made from scratch as they did not exist in GTAV or Max Payne 3, but rest assured I've only used parts from the textures in the game, no outside sources! As mentioned in this tweet from August 30th, all vehicles that use the whitewall wheels have been given their own normal map so they no longer look glitched in-game: And since I've had to do this for Roman's Cab, I've then applied this updated texture to the rest of the Taxi's and Cabbie's in the game, here I've remade the taxi stickers that appear inside and outside various vehicles: Grab the updated pack from the following link: Grand Theft Auto IV Vehicle Pack 1.6 Now to quickly answer some old questions... 1) Thanks for pointing this out, due to the small size it was annoying to fix, but, well, it's fixed now. 2) This appears to be a design choice by Rockstar as the same thing happens in GTAV with this vehicle. 3) Sadly the quality is the best they can be for now without requiring all trhe vehicles to be corrected model wise, however I have gone back and improved the default plates a bit more with the proper details so hopefully this should be better in-game. As with any higher resolution texture update, yes it will affect performance, but in all honesty I've not noticed any issues yet, most modern GPUs have both faster and larger VRAM to negate the additional cost of these higher resolution textures for this game. There's still plenty of games out there that use a lot more VRAM compared to this mod.7 points -

Dear GTAForums users, I have big informations to share about the next Grand Theft Auto, I am sharing this information because I know that many of you have been very impatient for news regarding Grand Theft Auto VI and I think that it's wrong from Rockstar Games to remain silent, they should embrace the hype, not keep the game in hidden. I would also like to stay anonymous because I could lose my job from this. Please read at your own risk! For the past few months, I have been able to work as a programmer on the next project from Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI. The project has started in 2017, shortly before Red Dead Redemption 2 released. By this time, Red Dead Redemption 2 was mostly finished, so most of the team moved on to the next project while a smaller team finished polishing Red Dead. Dan Houser had written some ideas for Grand Theft Auto VI, including a short sketch for the storyline. Dan started to grow tired of the direction that Rockstar Games had gone in, which is one of the reasons why he left. Ever since, most of the plot has been written by Michael Unsworth and Rupert Humphries using some the sketches and ideas from Dan. Sam Houser has also been helping writing the plot of the game. Grand Theft Auto VI will be set in 1987 and will mostly take place in Vice City in Southern Florida. The map will also include the Gator Keys, an inspiration from the Florida keys, which also includes Gator West, which is based on Key West. The game will also include the Evergreen National Park, which is based on the Everglades. There will also be a couple of small towns around the map, based on towns such as Naples, Fort Myers and Cape Coral and Port St. Lucie and a couple more. The game will feature only one protagonist. A Cuban immigrant named David, who is similar to Niko Bellic in Grand Theft Auto IV, will speak two languages (English and Spanish). David immigrated to Vice City in 1983 and has since lived in the neighborhood of Little Havana as a part of the Cuban gangs. The storyline will be the typical rags to riches story like previous GTA games as David will slowly become the biggest drug Baron of Vice City. Grand Theft Auto VI is being developed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, with a PC release planned further down the line. It should come out in the next few years if everything goes right because we have had a lot of issues and experienced a development hell, especially because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I honestly believe that this will be one of the best, if the not the best Grand Theft Auto game in the series, especially with the amount of features the game will have, including some features that were present in the 3D era games that were not present in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V. The game will be very realistic like Red Dead Redemption 2 and the mission structures allows players to have more freedom when completing missions. Rockstar had already experiment with it with the Cay Perico Heist of GTA Online to see how players would react. The shooting mechanics have also been improved. Map-wise for Vice City, it seems they've gone with the PC/Xbox version (which is fairly outdated compared to the PS2 one), though I am basing this off of one very tiny distant prop from the trailer, hah. The PC/Xbox versions of Vice City have a Mean Street Taxis advertisement on the stone benches, whereas the PS2 version has Sunnyside Taxis. The PS2 version is more finalised and has a few extra props, different textures and such, but honestly I can't blame them for not bothering to check or use it - the PS2 models have screwed up faces (as in polygons - not people), lower res textures, etc. It'd be a hassle to sort through it all, especially if you haven't previously obsessed over all the differences like modders have in the past. Meanwhile though, I spotted a few interesting/"positive" things from the screenshots and trailer (perhaps would be better in the analysis thread, but while I'm here..). They have actually added some rooftop props to the buildings along Ocean Drive: They also alternated the neon colours for the Leslie (white and yellow) buildings from a plain white on both to full pink and half pink, and fixed the squigglys (bugged on PC like below, fixed on PS2): And in this screenshot, they made the effort to actually make the windows 3D on this building, which gives me a bit of hope for Little Haiti: I'll probably post more findings in the analysis thread in a bit.6 points
