GTA 6 Weapons references possibly found in an RDR2 file
GTA Plus Enjoyer and 19 others reacted to DerekL for a topic
Hey I found this a week or two week ago, but I wasn't sure if this was for GTA 6 or something else. It still might not but I don't have anyway to check either, so I'm just sharing this to see what you guys think. I found these in an RDR2 file called propsets.meta, under "common_0.rpf/data/ai" so if you don't believe me you can check for yourself. This file appears to be referencing weapon models that aren't anywhere in the files, including ones for an L1A1 rifle and a Pistol referred to as a Browning, probably the Browning Hi-Power. Strangely there appears to be two variants for the Browning pistol, one silenced and one regular version. I don't what that's about but it definitely ain't from GTA V. Here are what I think the weapons they are referencing, aside from the AK47: These aren't from GTA V because GTA V's version of these sections have entirely different weapons, and the AK47 in that game is referred to as "W_AR_ASSAULTRIFLE" rather than "W_AR_AK47" For example, the below section is from GTA V, however it doesn't have any of the weapons references from above. These aren't new btw, they appear to have been in the game since the release of RDR2 on console, so I was kinda surprised nobody else found these. Sorry if this post seems a bit bootleg, but I wasn't expecting to be the one who found this. It's possible these are from a different game, but I can't be sure, so take from this what you will.20 points -

I think GTAV PS5 will have a few uses. All of them being online related of course. The first is to keep that cash flow going until GTAVI and eventually use it as a way to cross promote the game like they did with RDR2 but on a bigger level. This is not likely to happen but imagine if they did a big ARG in the form of a treasure hunt ending with the first player to crack it digging up an 80's style pager showing the message, "Daddy's back bitches" and the words "GTAVI" flashing on every online players screen. That's the type of cool sh*t they could do, if they keep GTAO as relevant as possible on new consoles. Another big use could be to test certain things for GTAO2. I get the feeling Cayo Perico might be accessible with no load screens if you're crazy enough to fly over there. If that's the case my theory of GTAVI/GTAO2 literally expanding over the years with new city sized islands with their own story and online content could become a reality. The lobby count itself is also likely to expand. We've gone from 16 to 32 to 64? If GTAO2 does become this constantly expanding playground 32 players definitely won't cut it. Hell 64 might not even cut it. Maybe this PS5/XBSX version might be a way of testing how many players they could add to LS without it turning into complete chaos. With the rise of battle royale games I feel like they should at least aim for 100 players. Multiple 10 man crews in 1 lobby could lead to some fun game modes if done right.8 points -

Even Grand Theft Auto V's plot could have been much more, and much more dramatic. I mean, why create a game about crime, if you don't want to include anything emotional, or dark. Just because the game takes place in Los Santos doesn't mean it can't be a dark story. Everything in that game is so cheerful, even a mission, which includes torture is not that serious. Too bad.7 points -

It was expanded by denotation if it just meant an extension, but not by the connotation you think of. Instead of just heading straight towards the regular bounty, you hunt each one in a series of bounty missions that I guess gives some story element to it? There are some unique mission types associated with those bounties, like there's one mission where it feels like a mini-survival type of mission, where you deal with two waves before the target comes in via the train and then a sandstorm comes through. The other type is heading towards the gang base in disguise and it's basically stuff like that. In some way, you could say it was more of an augmentation, as Rockstar said, than an expansion.6 points -

Snapshot 4.1.1 is now out! This update primarily focusses on the launcher and on the exception handler. For starters, this update will send crash information to us so we can better address the problems people are having right now. You can disable this in the ugcrashreporter.ini file present in this update. Download links GOOGLE DRIVE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GKu-kscdwM2-m8yIKCsro-DAWd081MQf/view?usp=sharing MODDB: https://www.moddb.com/mods/gta-underground/downloads/gta-underground-snapshot-411-requires-snapshot-4 Changelog Fixed custom object mp_newspaper causing undefined ID errors from FLA when used The remote player synchronization code no longer requires specific DirectX runtimes to be installed – thus solving an issue where the ASI would not load, causing runtime errors when booting either singleplayer or multiplayer (there might be other places in the code which still require it though) Fixed remote player bike leaning not being synchronized properly Fixed the Incorrect Version connection rejected message not being shown when it should (previously it would display the Invalid NickName message) Improved the exception handler: Crash information will now be submitted to us automatically. This feature can be disabled by editing ugcrashreporter.ini. Clarified the crash dialog message to discourage people to share screenshots of the dialog instead of sharing a minidump file Added extra error messages should the game fail to create the minidumps directory, or the minidump itself Also made several improvements / bug fixes to the UG-MP launcher: The Connect to server dialog now uses the title “Connect to server” instead of “Connect to <hostname>” Improved the hostname validation code on the Direct connect window – it should now better detect invalid input. The Direct connect window will no longer default to the default port (7777) in circumstances where it shouldn’t do so Any leading and trailing spaces in the entered hostname will be stripped prior to launching the game. Fixed a crash when the Cancel button was pressed in the Direct connect window Fixed a bug where the input bindings on the registration window and on the Direct connect window would not update until the elements lose focus. This fixes numerous issues, including scenario’s where people report that pressing the ENTER key yields different results than the Connect button (e.g. where it would incorrectly display an error message about the entered hostname and/or where it would connect using a different hostname than the user intended). This change can however diminish performance in both windows.6 points -

I disagree about a map expansion not coming for another couple years. Given how much discussion the topic of a map expansion for a 7 year old map got this year amongst the community and now we finally have a new small private island used for a specific mission branch (even if it is treated like a massive outdoor "interior"). they'd be foolish not to have a proper new freeroamable location be the first major foundation DLC of the re-release... even if the re-release comes out October 2021 and the first DLC for it won't release until December that year, Rockstar still need to sell the idea that the re-re-release is actually worth it. People liked the Cayo Perico Heist when announced, they liked it a hell of a lot more than the idea of GTA V/Online being remastered again rather than GTA 6 being announced and released on the same day there and then. Even after the dark times of 2016 - 2018 of businesses & military/doomsday vehicles, people liked the announcement of the Casino Heist, they liked the announcement of the Cayo Perico Heist... after 7 years, a big content update can satiate peoples desire for something new in GTA, but ONLY if it's what the fans want. The 2 biggest wants the fanbase have right now (aside from removing R2K missiles/OppMk2 from the game) are; a GTA 6 announcement and a Map Expansion for GTA Online. Personally, if a Map Expansion is to be released (like say Liberty City from GTA IV), it has to be a proper Map Expansion, fully free-roamable, properties, ability to move (non-weaponized) personal vehicles there, not the open air interior Cayo Perico is. Obviously, you would NOT be able to buy Arcades there for the sake of launching a Diamond Casino Heist in Los Santos etcetera, if they add Liberty City, the things you can buy in Liberty City are for things you can do in Liberty City. The problem would be the initial launch of said map expansion, Rockstar would release it, but we'd probably only be able to buy apartments and the paywall property of the new mission branch and focus of the initial update. What would be required for the dripfeed of the first update (alongside the usual vehicle list) would be a monthly installment of contact missions and other modes that take place spefically on the new map expansion to keep the hype. - 5/6 Contact Missions (maybe even make them a non-linear story for each month, like Geralds Last Play, or give them linearity like a Superyacht Life) - 6 - 10 New Races - 3 - 5 New Deathmatches - 1 Survival After 6 months and on the doorstep of the next DLC, you'd have AT LEAST; 30 Contact MIssions, 36 Races, 18 Deathmatches & 6 Survivals, all taking place on the new map. While these aren't the greatest payouts the game has, it would possibly bring players back for an experience more like what GTA Online was in 2013/14. Given Rockstar over the last few weeks have weirdly started highlight community created maps again, this dripfeed model would be a great excuse to get people using the Creator and hold Community Creation contests again that see the best player created race/deathmatch/survival get added with the Rockstar Created ones each month, keep the player numbers up but the payouts low in preparation for the next DLC. Now, all of the above doesn't mean I've self-confirmed or even believe a free-roamable map expansion will be the first DLC of the Next-Gen ReReRelease, or will ever come at all (the DLC to a game that won't even be out for nearly a year at this point isn't something I'm heavily concerned about)... it's just the direction I would take GTA Online if it were up to me.5 points -

Haven't had the chance to shoot these properly so I apologize for the fugly HUD getting in the way. But I've finally gotten around to my speccing frenzy on this thing. For a while I had settled on a bad version of Blu Corsa I made on PS4 and Grigio Ingrid. Then just sort of moved onto other cars. But now... well as you can see I got my hands full. From the top left: Bianco Birdcage (vibrant deep blue pearl can be apparent, also wheels are bronze and interior is dark blue), Blu Electtrico Opaco (dark blue interior), Blu Electtrico and then Blu Corsa x2 After finding a spec I really liked on Autogespot, I replicated it and found out it was actually Verde Pino. Awesome shade of green. I was actually planning on doing Verde British but this was a must. Colors in the works for tomorrow: - Azzurro Dino - A proper Grigio Ingrid (with tortora interior) - Rosso Dino - Grigio Medio - A proper Tour de France Blu - Abu Dhabi Blu - A proper Azzurro California - Blu Mirabeau - Giallo Modena - Giallo Triplo Strato I already did Verde Kers... probably the most obnoxious spec I'll do for this car. I get too carried away with variety. Especially these days, it is so easy to do colors as I've done this for a couple years and finally Menyoo/Hex Color Tool makes it so simple. No more constantly restarting the game to see if my slight adjustment to a crew color made something look how I wanted or not. Love this car though, my favorite style of Ferrari (Grotti).5 points -

Speaking for myself, my disappointment in his death comes more from the fact that he could've been a far better and more interesting main antagonist to Trevor than Wei Cheng. Not to mention that a previous protagonist turning into a major antagonist would've been so interesting and refreshing. I made a jokey tweet about how Rockstar could come up with a GTA version of Animal Crossing by giving every player their own instanced island, and I deleted that tweet shortly afterwards, as that's just me being me, but I kinda want to see something like that. I think it's a bit possible since Rockstar came up with a freemode creator within their dev environment and made the freemode script load offline user-generated files for the island scope out and DJ missions. So with some adjustments, Rockstar can provide some sort of an island creator, have like the online equivalent of these offline UGCs and we would have instanced player-owned islands.5 points -

After two weeks of playing this update my first opinion is still the same. The only thing that I truly enjoy is the heist finale IF I play it with a friend (alone is kinda sad). The playable content is so small, I already went to the same preps over and over. Dj calls are, well...you deliver a pizza to the island. On top of that the lack of cars still irks me. This update is so far from the actual biggest update ever (Doomsday Heist). And no, an island where you have to constantly endure Rockstar's painful stealth mechanics doesn't compensate for the lack of actual content. Also I have a huge problem with preps design and I had the same problem in DCH. Is just me who doesn't really enjoy this super basic design that preps have compared to original setups?5 points -
