Since there's less than 24 hours left and no new information today I thought I'd share some details about the update. So, without spoiling too much, here's little bit of info: - 20 new vehicles, including cars, boats, planes, helis, (quad-)bikes, and the submarine of course - 2 cut vehicles made it into the game, the Squaddie and the Winky - 3 new weapons: 1 rifle, 1 shotgun, and 1 pistol - a bunch of new clothing & tattoos - the submarine "Kosatka" works similar to the Yacht, you can relocate it, buy a bunch of upgrades (even a heli), and request a boat - during the heist you can request "support", this includes airstrikes, air support, a drone, and other weapon-related stuff

The vehicle total count is consistent with the likes of big updates like Diamond Casino & DCH updates. Not of all them will be available day one, so I wonder how many vehicles we may get tomorrow. I guess probably the ones shown in the trailer, hopefully a bit more too.

T'was the day before DLC, and all through the thread, Posts full of excitement, and some full of dread. A new island in freeroam? Or locked to a heist? Will there be a new Broomstick? And what is its price? Talks of go Vrruums and tractors, and the return of the trio. Wishes for realistic steak, and expectation of El Rubio. Much sh*tposting was done, and memes filled the forum. The Mods quietly facepalmed, and prayed for decorum.

I still love that americans have to stay up to like 5am for it whereas I roll out of bed scratch my balls start the coffee and am ready to go 12h straight.

Imagine if Rockstar adds the new island tomorrow but when you get to the airport you're not allowed to fly there because of Covid-19 travel restrictions.

I can't believe we are getting a map expasion after 7 years.... Damn I knew this game was gonna be special from the moment the first trailer dropped... You can hate Rockstar for not making single player dlc, you can hate them for not announcing Vi but they are the masters of the game. No other company can stand next to Rockstar imo. No game, movie, tv series nothing in this world,planet, universe can touch Rockstar level hype. I am more hyped for this dlc than any other game in existence.

I'd pay a couple mil for permanant setup equipment like glass cutters, grapple hooks, etc. if it would mean skipping and optional setup mission. I guess it not much different than paying to skip a setup, but imagine if you could buy them they could be stored as props in the sub somewhere.

Any guesses on the vehicle names? Here are my takes Hummer - Squaddie (beta vehicle, I think they'll stuck with the name) Willys - well I hope its either Mesa Grande or Crussider Classic and not the Winky. It would really suck if they choose it. It should be kept for Miata or something... That being said the handling fits the small off-roader so who knows... Marzal - R* likes to reuse 2D era names so I wouldn't be shocked if it was called Miara, Meteor, Bulldog, LeBonham, Panther, Porka or GT-A1 TU-160 - since R* called russian military vehicles after the mythic slavic legends (Chernobog - God of death) or the weapons (Khanjali - type of sword) I think there are few possibilities. Baba Yaga comes to my mind, a mythical witch whom eats children and flies on the broom or mortar. there is also Azhdaya (demonic dragon), Zmey (dragon), Rarog (phoenix), Gamayun (prophetic bird) and Alkonost/Siren (a "reverse" mermaid that lives in the sky). There is also a Tsikavats, but it wouldn't really suit it such massive plane as it is a tiny bird that hatched when woman stole egg of black hen and put it under her armpit for 40 days. (Yeah slavs had some strong drugs back in a day it seems). If we are talking about the weapons there are a few but I don't think they are as cool as demonic dragons or mermaids from a sky: Shashka, Sulica, Grus, Szabla (Shabla) or Szczerbiec (or Shcherbiets). soviet truck - if it has a lot of influance from UAZ 452 I'd be really disappointed if it wasn't called Kolobok. 452 has a nickname of "bread loaf" in Russian and Kolobok is a living bread dough that rolls around trying to trick everyone around not to eat it River Patrol boat - well, I actually think it will be called "Gunboat". Gunboat is actually a file name of one of the cut vehicles found in the leaked vehicles.ide from Max Payne 3. We've seen Casco and Enduro from that list, wouldn't be shocked if the gunboat would appear as well. new quads - doesn't matter to me, but I just hope it's not called a f*ckin Blazer something again... Sparrow, Weaponized Dinghy, Annihilator Mk2, - I think those are self-explanatory

It muted LJT & added the "Return Personal Vehicle to Storage" option, those two alone give it a pass in my book. Throw in decent clothing selection (men), new wheels, two new property slots, a series of new mission that ends with us finally killing the boss of the Kkangpae & resurrecting Benny from the dead into the mix & we have a decent dlc. Sure, the car selection was somewhat weak, but still better than After Hours.

That has to be the funniest joke I've heard all year. Really though? 35 cars? Funny post. 35 vehicles? Very well within reason.

If I see a Ford Capri (any model), Mazda RX7, Nissan 350z, Koenigsegg Jesko or a Volkswagen W12, I'll count this DLC as an absolute win! The Lamborghini Marzal was definitely a pleasant surprise so at least us car enthusiasts have something nice to look forward too. The new Tupolev looking plane better be pretty with a name like that, gotta wait and see I suppose.

20 new vehicles. I mean it's a big number and it's not at the same time. If we are count cars only, then yes 20 new cars it's a lot. But when we add helis, planes and the sub to the equation then it's pretty damn disappointing. If the plot for the new heist will be good then ok, they gonna reedem themselves. BUT. If there gonna be a lot of Mori Kibbutz, and there gonna be a a lot to do for a little pay out, then I change my relationship status with R* to: "it's complicated".

Some people want jets, others want go Vrruums. I want to see an excursion steam train running around, the trains are getting boring

Sorry, forgot that it was a cut vehicle. seasparrow2 AND seasparrow3 are included in the update. seasparrow2 is actually the one that you can buy as an "upgrade" for the submarine.

Since we're going to see the vehicle models in about 12 hours I would just like to preemptively claim appreciation threads for the following vehicle lookalikes should any of them get added: Hopefully at least one of those is found in the files...

20 vehicles? Even my pessimistic ass was expecting a little more than that. Guess we’ll see how it plays out tomorrow. This long wait has allowed me to go through all the highs and lows, and I think I’m happy with my expectations now. I’m going to get on tomorrow, buy a few new vehicles and start up the new heist. By the end of it, I’ll think to myself “Wow. Let’s never do that again.” And then go back to the same old Los Santos scenery. Another update without a real map expansion. I’m almost as interested in seeing the coping here. All of these new accounts will suddenly disappear, and all of the people who thought they knew everything because they predicted a new location after Rockstar specifically said “new location” will pretend they never talked about bustling cities and massive airports on this tiny mile-long island.

This. I play GTA or any videogame for that matter to forget and escape the daily stress and problems we face day by day. I dont want to be reminded of the current situation in the world, i just want to relax my mind. Oh i am as thrilled as you, but when you patiently wait for something big like this, hours and days seem to last twice as long. I work night shifts, so i can enjoy the update all day long.

Still struggling through good outfits. I'm thinking of either Mister Pink with Pink High Roller jacket or Golden Boy with the Golden High Roller jacket. Although I seem to lean towards the hawaiian shirts and shorts for the more civilian approach. What? Looking good in cutscenes is important to me, okay?
