It's worth pointing out, the hints, teases, or info reveals we may receive would likely only be from the newswire. So, it's unlikely that we would receive new background updates that adds new teases when we are only a week away from release. For context, this is aimed towards the rumors of dead bodies of mexicans found that are claimed to be new teases or something. They are likely modded in or bugged out. I just don't see Rockstar wasting effort on the current old background update when they could be working on the background update for the new update, which is the equivalent of day one patches to new games releasing like CP77.

RDO Next Updates Speculation & General Chat (Part I)

It's crazy how a bit of narrative background behind the infamous bounties makes them a bit more alive or more sophisticated, not sure if that's the right word, but it feels like you're immersed in the Wild West era while hunting those guys. Assassin's Creed Valhalla has this cool feature, a list of "Order of the Ancients" members who you have to hunt. You start hunting the lower ones to get intel on the bigger ones. Imagine if we get something similar in RDO and it can done with some adjustments to how Legendary Bounties work. We could investigate and hunt members of the gang to get intel on the actual legendary bounty, instead of dropping them with sufficient info of their whereabouts. New Legendary bounty, Carmela Montez. The Del Lobos leader with the armored wagon in the trailer.

Now, I'm 99% certain the newswire early article check thing is patched, cuz the RDO article usually comes out in a few mins or an hour from now. Freaking hell, I thought they were already aware of it and didn't care, but they really do patch them only when it becomes public knowledge.

Rockstar would be digging their own graves with something like that. They already nerfed the MK2 in 2 updates (and in the CPH update i hope as wel), so i dont think they would stoop that low.

In case the island is accessible only during the heist, I was thinking what could they use it for in the future updates. The obvious ideas were: Adversary modes / Future contact missions / Creator mode. But than I started thinking about something more unique. What if they let us buy the mansion along with the whole island? Even if its not part of freeroam? How would it work you ask? Well first you have to kill the drug lord at the end of this heist. Than you can buy and customize the place like every other property. After that you can join it (alone or with your friends) the same way you join any other race, mission on heist. Basically it would be a separate lobby with your own private island for you and your friends (accessible using a phone or airport). After you join you can do whatever you want on the island (dance, play minigames, do some freeroam missions etc) But now the unique part: You guys know those mobile town defense games? like Clash Of Clans for example? Where you build your own town and troops and you attack other towns of other players? So you never really play PvP, you just attack a heavily defended fortress full of npc soldiers? Well... what if they applied that to gtao? You buy upgrades for your island, additional security, lights, additional guards, additional turrets, you decide where to place everything around the island and you have only a limited amount of resources you can use (for example 1 sniper = 2 regular soldiers, 1 heavy = 3 regular soldiers) After you finish you have 3 game modes: Raid (PvE mode) - You attack the island of other players and other players attack your. Basically everyone creates their own "island survival/heist" and shares it with the community the same way you share jobs from creator mode. Defend your island (PvP mode) - Something between Piracy Prevention and Deathmath. This time you are on your own island with all of your npc goons and you defend it against other players. Basically the ending of Scarface. Freeroam mode - the mode I mentioned above where you can chill and play PvE missions with your friends edit: Years ago when I was pitching private islands, I always mentioned it would be cool to customize our own goons. Remember those guys you could hire in vice city? Well, with this idea we should be able to customize our own island goons. Pick npcs, choose their outfits, their weapons, voices, vehicles etc. That way you would have an endless amount of community created mini heists.

Something about the submarine, the heist or more pics from the island - This post was made by Lance Vance Gang

I completely agree with you, although my personal perception of "classic rock" is very much what R* had in the K-DST and LRR stations (mid-late 70's American rock bands). Stuff such as Zeppelin, at least where I come from, is often regarded as more traditional/early hard rock or even heavy metal. But as a metalhead myself, I can probably get a bit biased and elitist with this stuff as well (I try not to). VROCK's name might've been a bit ambigiuous but otherwise marketed as exactly what it delivered (various types of 80's metal). The setting and timeline helps too IMO. When I initially played VC back in the day, there was no question what VROCK was all about. Same with Radio-X in SA. LSRR is an absolute joke though, I must say. Coming right off of GTA IV with LRR, it featured various classic (hard) rock and was DJ:d by an icon of that very era LSRR has Kenny effin' Loggins for starters. Exactly how "rock" is that? Then the set list, as you and others already pointed out. It's very disjointed with sub-styles which are also largely out-of-place for such a channel IMO. I was majorly disappointed with it back in 2013. New radio stations and expansions for existing ones coming around the corner. I really wanna see some proper hard rock and metal music being added. I'm quite amazed how R* completely ignores L.A.'s music legacy. The 80's had glam, thrash and heavy metal bands exploding out of everywhere in L.A. Many of these bands are still around today and sell out arenas. It's just dumb and ignorant to not acknowledge this by including some of it IMO. I mean, R* even has Love Fist featured in GTA V. Why not have some real bands of that same style featured then?

Seeing how the new underground club's a thing, it'd be nice if we could hire the new DJs at our own nightclubs. Nothing against them, but I'm getting a little tired of Solomun, Dixon, Tales of Us and Black Madonna.

I think some of you are going out of your way to have a bleak view on this DLC. Rockstar is ALWAYS quiet, this isnt new behavior. Just because they said it's the biggest update ever doesnt mean they're just going to spoil everything before release. They probably just want us to have something to discover and explore on DLC day. You are all in control of your hype level. Dont get hyped for things they havent shown you and you'll all be fine.

I use the Dune FAV when I need mines in contact missions, and the two are nearly identical speed-wise; although I prefer the Dune FAV's looks. (Plus you're protected from bullets from behind, it's quick to switch to the gun, and it's possible to use the Up-n-Atomizer while driving.) Still you've convinced me to stop downvoting the Insurgent.
