Nothing significant, but the "Cayo Perico Heist: Coming December 15th" feed page, showing up on the loading screen, expires on December 7th, so I'm thinking that's probably when we are likely to receive more info, considering next week will be mostly focused on RDO.

I was wondering why the heck didn't Rockstar start hypying the hell outta this new update. It's just 10 more ranks, "Prestigious level equipment", skills and new criminals & Legendary Bounties to hunt for? Talk about getting hyped for a few seconds and immediately hit with disappointment right after.

Noticed two RDO articles being prepared, now this is interesting. We usually get one for the event week, unless the extra one is either an announcement, or a reveal of the Photo challenge winners.

im not at all hyped about the update, i hope the story is good and the new place is explorable outside of the missions. hope for fun and logic setups, not like some of the bs setups we got with the casino heist(go to paleto bay to steal some cordless drills). R* people will replay them heists if the story is fun and the payouts are decent. no need to make us grind the heist 48 times to unlock all the outfits variants.

Ok, so i'm going to speculate once more on the submarine's missile launcher for a bit. I think there will be a console in the middle of the sub where you can press right on the D pad "Press to go to the main terminal". From here you have the option to launch a missile from the top of the submarine to a specific part of the map with a minimap without the whereabouts of other players. The entire submarine will be in red lights with "Missile active" (Same as the OT). I dont think the map works similar to the Orbital strike. You basicly have to guess where players are with your own minimap to determine the location of the enemy. From there you can press the launch missile and in 4/5 seconds a missile will launch and fly to the location. Each missile will cost +-100K to fire with a 1 hour cooldown because if they made this free the entire map will be spammed to Narnia.

I know the mansion isn't very high above the ocean, but I would love if there was a secret cave connected to it Who wants to bet theres gonna be a... pc "mod" for unlocking SP? For people who want to play online, but don't want to pay extra for SP

I fully believe that the big update this year was meant to be a Frontier Pursuits size - photographer, naturalist, BH, but photographer and naturalist got combined into one and the BH stuff got cut out to be released at a later time. That's the only explaination that makes sense to me, unless the RDO team is literally <10 people. Frustrating as all hell to yet again see no mention of character transfers. I want to play the update but my character is locked on PlayStation right now, and even if I still owned my PS4 (I don't) I wouldn't plug it all back in to continue playing RDO. I'd buy the PC version day 1 at 5 bucks if they announced the ability to move my character over, though. F*ck games that don't support cross platform progression in 2020 tbh.

I had a feeling this would happen and we'd get a slight Bounty Hunter expansion when the Bounty Hunter Daily Challenges had 'Hard ($$$) or Legendary Bounty mission completed' for 8 days straight, so they hopefully have possible added a few more to the Bounty Hunter Daily Challenge random pool, which obviously wasn't that random for 8 days straight, yes it would be possible for it randomly select the same Daily Challenge for 8 days but very unlikely. And really, just added in 10 more Ranks, however many Bounty Board missions, they're all the same any way so very little work for Rockstar, just add 30 new Bounty names, and 5-10 Legendary Bounty missions so being honest, probably two-four weeks of development, even less if the Legendary Bounty missions are some cut from the original Frontier Pursuits update. Will be interesting to see what new equipment and skills that are to be unlocked, but really what do you really need, the only thing I can think of is increased running speed for the bounty targets that have the Usain Bolt running speed, it would also be nice if we don't have to sacrifice our Horse for Bounty Wagon since if you're brining in multiple bounties, it's such a slow process putting six bounty targets in the Bounty Wagon, and usually one or two will break free and run off, and the Bounty Wagon is useless to chase after them..... So the most boring role (in my opinion) of Frontier Pursuits gets 10 more ranks and whatever else to possibly make it less boring for a while! Hopefully there are some goodies in the game files to datamine though, so hopefully more is coming after February 15th 201 when the 75% the standalone discount ends, which is bit of a piss take since I bought the PC version when it came out (previous played on PS4) at full price and have barely touched Story Mode due to having start Red Dead Online from Rank 1 all over again because no character transfer! Rockstar really knows how to screw long times players and reward new players with a heavy discounted price!

Have any of the previous games had jazz stations? I need a jazz station. They could toss in some bossa nova-style music to fit with the latin setting of the update.

I can't believe this is even a real update. The new BH missions are probably just left over missions they cut to begin with. Another outlaw pass? For what? more ammo and items that will sit in my mailbox for months? I still have items in there from outlaw pass #1 for god's sake.

10 more ranks to the bounty hunter role, is that it? (Aside a new outlaw pass of course). All the while GTA:O gets a new island and a soloable heist and such. I know to keep expectations low, but this is pretty lame for even low expectations!

As both a GTA Online and Red Dead Online player, this is incredibly disappointing. It's quite literally an extension, by the way they worded it gameplay-wise it's gonna be pretty much the same stuff. Which is fun, don't get me wrong, but to base a whole update on this after 6 months of waiting? Not good. I really hope I'm wrong and for the first time I recognize the argument that many people make that Rockstar gives more attention to GTA (where previously I didn't think that it was the case - not this time). I'm really afraid for the future of the game honestly

I think the only way to access the island is gonna be through the purchase of the submarine or whatever addition is coming to the casino. I’m actually more excited to see what classic vehicles maybe added with this update.

There is a new Outlaw Pass with 100 ranks, which is where I think I would invest most of my time into once the update drops.

Why should everyone just shut up and praise everything about the game just because it's free to download? We had some pretty nice QoL changes with the summer update but we probably wouldn't have gotten them if everyone just acted as some people do and praise everything just because it's "free".. Would you be happy if someone sh*t on your doorstep just because it's free?

I’ve spent some time reading the story of Carlos Lehder, the drug lord who “owned” Norman’s Cay for a bit while during my break. Norman’s Cay, as @Pirospeculated, serves as the island significant inspiration. If R* wanted to pay homage to the history behind it, I’d say there can be 4 circumstances: 1. The island will be explorable in free mode, but we will be met with resistance from the gorilla security force. It’s uncertain if the force will be strong or weak. The security force will probably re-spawn after being eliminated temporarily. 2. The island is explorable in some areas with no security forces, but some areas are severely guarded or restricted. 2. The island is not freely explorable. We can only do heists, rob assets and collect evidence, as of now, 3. The island will be unlocked for exploration after a successful raid. The island itself can be: 1. Totally “controlled” by El Rubio. 2. Open to public tourism with some businesses operating. However, there are some underground drug operations that are not visible or known by the general public, but of which the government of US (likely IAA) is very, very aware, and the US government wants to take action due to its negative impact on the US society, just like in the 1980’s. My personal take .

Oh yes, they do. And yes a very big group of people will be disappointed when they are going to find out that the map wont be available in freemode. This DLC will be anything but a filler update.

After Friday's article, I'm leaning more towards the Photo challenge, since by today, it is exactly a month since Rockstar said stay tuned for more details on the challenge. Despite that, I'm hoping they would include a bit of info related to the next update, since the challenge itself involves portraits coming in the next update.

Luckily they gave 2 newswire posts on RDR and GTAO on the same day before. Small chance, but i take it. That would be cool! We can use RC boats in RDR2 in a mission and i loved that!

Sorry if it's been brought up in the last few pages, but what do we think is going to happen with garage space? Clearly the submarine isn't going to have anything (although a bay for the stromberg would be f*cking RAD), so what's going to be the alternative? The two extra property slots they gave us for the LSSS were clearly just a bandaid, and if this update is as big as they're hyping it up to be there's going to be an absolute mountain of new vehicles, military and otherwise.

Except that @Flash FM is probably right. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a full blown city added to this game, I just don't think it's going to happen. If you're right, great, nobody will be happier than me, but I think this little island will be roughly the same size as Big Surf Island, which Criteria added to Burnout Paradise, and I believe it will be somewhat sparse in terms of streets, edifices, and landmarks. We'll all see soon enough, though, since it's 3 weeks and a day away.
