Funny, i was just thinking about this. I wonder how the first in-game hint will go. Will it be a text like that, a phone call, or just a HUD notification. Maybe even map hints, like we saw with the casino. It would be cool to see some constructionwork at the beach with the message "Catalina Tours" or something along those lines. Ofcourse it would be named differently.

I think it would be smart. Realize this, the new consoles are coming out and GTA is a tired ass 7 year old game, it is no spring chicken. There are folks that will play it when the new update comes out regardless, but anyone who knows anything about a company maximizing profits would know that advertising is key. I highly doubt everyone who just bought the new consoles is gonna see a new update for GTA a week before it launches and be like "f*ck this I'mma play that!" lol. Building up hype beforehand could mitigate that. I don't know, it's a common sense approach so... but however Rockstar doesn't always use common sense and their ego gets to them so you could have a point.

that's what would happen, if they add an island it isn't going to be a 1 to 1 recreation of Catalina, just like NONE of their maps are 1 to 1 recreations of real life, it will be their own version of it. also, adding an island gives them the ability to add stuff we don't have yet, like a property with a boat house so we can store and customize boats and other water craft, it would be the perfect place to add mansions, and who cares if it's just a small town with some countryside, it's better than having the "new location' being just another building Catalina is nearly 4 times the size of Manhattan, if they added it it would be bigger than Algonquin in GTA IV

Ngl GTAO storylines/heists/activities/characters are so crappily, half-assed and tastelessly put together that I don't give a damn what they do. All I care about is this "new" location and the cars. We got just about a month maybe a little more. I can't wait to see. The cars should be grand and the location, interesting. All that other trash can kick rocks.

Onision, which is a POS of sh*t incarnate, is also followed by R* on Twitter, being followed by them doesn't mean anything. Man you're talking as if R* was this poor indie company that can barely make ends meet every fiscal year instead of one of the biggest and richest (is that even a word?) game developers in the entire world. Don't try to make up excuses for their negligence and incompentence; they can, they should and they must fix their game.

They mention bonuses for being rank 5 or above for both Bounty Hunter and Collector. Moonshiner required Trader rank 5 to be purchased. A Bounty Hunter expansion would require that as well, but what if we get both a Bounty Hunter and Collector expansion in the next update? R* teased both already. They could pull it off, they must have worked on something else other than Naturalist this year. But take it with a grain of salt.

I would like the dlc intro to go like this: Lester gives the player a call freaking out and tells us we need to meet immediately. When we meet, he tells us that a rival organization has been hitting our businesses and as hes telling us, said rival organization ambushed as and we get into a shootout. With them dead, lester tells us that the organization is located in liberty city and that we have to bring destruction to them and end them. But they own liberty and connections everywhere so we have to pay $1 million to get a fake passport to use the los santos airport to get to liberty city. (I feel rockstar isnt going to let us go there for free lol). Once in liberty city, our player would be broke because we cant use our cash or cars thats related to our old identity because thatll let the organization know we are there. Itll be about 15 story missions taking over the rivals business and stuff before a big heist. Basically the heist from the big bank robbery mission from gta iv, because thats where the all rivals Money is. This will effectively wipe out all of the rivals power. As soon we finish with the big heist then we will get Back all of our money from los santos and everything goes back to normal and youll be able to buy properties in liberty city. Thats how it would be if i created the dlc lol thoughts?

They should remove the "bad sport" points for destroying weaponised vehicles entirely.

Stepped away from the online game to play story mode for the first time in 2 years. What a difference: the missing animations are very obvious; story mode has a much more realistic feel; so much more of a living world. I miss all that online. Today I played online again after my little break from the game: no random encounters; no random moonshiner camps; not as much wildlife as back when we had small lobbies. The game world feels dead again, except for the idiots running about at full speed, shooting at you and hopping like teletubbies at triple speed. One numbskull shoots me dead in one shot while I'm in defensive mode as I mosey into town, then murders my horse. Great game, Imran...you really succeeded in dumbing down this once great game for the immature crowd, then to top it all off you went and scrapped a fully functional game (with small lobbies everything actually WORKED, unlike now)...in favor of fortnite on the frontier! If only we could get all the stuff from online (guns, roles, stranger missions and random encounters) -- including our characters -- in post-storymode, with all the old physics of the original game and missing animations fully restored. That I would love but never going to happen. P.S. I forgot to mention that the bodies you can loot are disappearing again, whereas in small lobbies I was able to loot all of em, now only a few remain after the shooting stops.

Obviously Rockstar would make the island (or any extention for that matter) entertaining for the players. Why would they make a completely empty island without anything fun to do and to explore? That makes no sense to me.

Well someone missed punctuation class... Besides that, there is no reason to believe that we'll get much if any info about the so called "biggest update ever!" before we're near a week or maybe two before it's set to release. To say "there won’t be anybody playing or buy the next generation of the game" as a result of rockstar not releasing any info regarding the update this month is foolhardy. People will play it by default, Christmas time is always a cash cow and a massive player number boost regardless of what they do or don't do. Haha. I am first on page 700.

Watch it be some Fast & Furious-style heist with Hao and Lester, using custom weaponised cars to fight and rob some foreign government or something.

Of course indie games have bugs, every game, hell, every piece of software ever has them, that's besides the point. My point was that even when R* has tons of resources and personnel (yes, even during the current pandemic), they do next to nothing to fix issues that have plagued this game for freaking years, hell, the Titan sale glitch has what, 4 years in the game? As someone else suggested, if they truly can't or don't fix it, they might as well disable instead, just like they did with the duffle bag sale, which unlike the Titan glitch, most people don't even know why it got removed. I mean, it's not a narrative, it's the truth, they might patch rather obscure glitches every update, but they pretty much leave the actually game breaking ones untouched. The Titan sale glitch is still going on, the godmode Speedo Custom is still going on, the stock Faction being pretty much undrivable is still a thing and so on. So yeah, stop making excuses for them please

Don't get excited but I am playing RDO on the Series X and so far the performance has been great. Maggie loaded before I had even entered the Shack, NPC's are plenty, no black screen for Moonshine, animals are plenty. Will keep you informed.

you aren't the only that feels that way, but if you want to take it personally that's not my problem. I just did, in my previous comment again, see previous comment, but also if you use your imagination I'm sure you could come up with dozens of ways they could add to this game. also also it isn't dying, it regularly breaks sales and player count records upgrading graphics is one way to sell a game again, but isn't just a cash grab, the original Tony Hawk remake was a cash grab, the current remake, THPS 1+2, is a work of art lovingly crafted by a team that cares, there is a difference. the best selling western RPG being upgraded for next gen isn't a cash grab. also GTA V on next gen didn't just improve graphics, but you would know that if you actually read my comment they don't do that, every vehicles handling is unique, and while most have a similar top speed have you not noticed the top speed smashing cars that have been coming out these last few years? there are several dedicated fans that arduously test every single vehicle in the game because they aren't all the same I'm sorry, what?! Ubi and EA routinely pull worse sh*t than this. I, personally, have never been f*cked in the ass by Rockstar. and yes, they do create bangers, every game they release is gold. Got RDR2 installed. The initial load bar before the title screen is none existent. A second at most. Menus are instant. Loading into Online took about forty seconds. Game looks sharper due to the Xbox Series X's "improved texture filtering" and runs at a rock solid 30FPS cap. PS5 results may differ.

Some of the character models look dated, but I think the general environment has held up very well. The vehicle models especially still look as top notch as they did in 2008. I'm a console player so I can't comment on the PC version, but on 360 atleast the game still holds up amazingly well for 2008 standards. Many games from that era don't look half as good as GTA IV still does today,

I've seen reports that PS players have been ddos'd multiple times while on GTA, and that was 2 years ago, so yeah, it's def. a thing. Well, I did the deal for a little over $5 Cdn per month for 3 years, so cheaters can kiss my fuzzy white butt. Wouldn't it be funny (ironic?) if cheaters worked for vpn companies and are just doing some proactive marketing. (I'm not a full blown conspiracy theorist, just thinking... )
