They don't give info because they know things can change and the community will whine and complain, Cyberpunk is an example of what could happen when you announce things like that, you announce something, things go wrong and you have to get your PR team on the case, you don't have to do that when you don't announce anything until it's ready. It also serves as an attention gathering materil, you don't say anything for so long that when you do, you take the spotlight, sometimes you don't even have to do anything for that to happen, just a rumor could spark the attention.

Or maybe that it's stupid for us to look for patterns where there isn't any reasoning behind them. It's clear that when the original heists came out, they thought they wouldn't do any more similar updates (this came up in an interview/Q&A at the time), but then plans change, and so they decided to make a new one for a number of reasons that I'm not going to list here but that you can probably guess. After that they focused on other stuff, including the casino, and someone at R* probably thought about the most obvious thing you can do with a casino update, that is robbing it (this idea was originally in Story too until they decided to scrap it, there's evidence if you wanna look it up for yourself). This does not necessarily mean that they have an internal schedule of sorts where they just release one heist every two years because reasons, hell I can bet most of Rockstar's employees back in 2017 even wouldn't think that the game would still break records in 2019 or 2020. They're always surprising in a way because that's how the creative process works, but the patterns are just the results of our own faulty and baseless thought processes. I honestly don't think that US politics have *that* much influence over an online update. Sure, it's plausible that what happened this spring made them want to delay the cops update because that was a hugely controversial phenomenon that even bled into a global political matter to some degree. But the things is, since then things have cooled down in my opinion, and if they wanted they could even release it right now without getting any major backlash (it is still a game after all).

It's a far fetch to assume that R* doesn't provide details on upcoming things because they are "so big and influential that they don't care anymore." On the contrary, they do this for the actual purpose of garnering as much as attention as possible. Info draught for a highly publicized game leads to major anticipation from the fanbase and beyond. But this is in a somewhat perfect scenario (which has worked relatively well in the past.) Thing is, sometimes there are just way too many intricacies. Take this time around as an example, with the announcement of a future big DLC obviously says a lot I believe. They were put in a situation where this approach would cause a lot negative feedback because of the reaction to some of their previous steps i.e next gen trailer and lack of proper DLC because of world events. This was obviously an agenda that lead to a change of decision making because of the obvious staleness that would come around and open a gap for possible competition. A re-invention was needed. After all, it is a business that has a primary goal of exceeding financially at any given time and a marketing plan to reinforce this. What I'm trying to say is that we actually did get something of a change in terms of how R* informs us on upcoming info. If it would've been otherwise, they would've never mentioned anything up until this day. Now, after implementation of a new marketing strategy they can continue with their old one which is the silent approach and build speculation until they believe is a good time to proceed based on the environment.

Yeah. I like being able to change clothes, but getting haircuts, tattoos etc aren’t really that important or at least not as important as it’s made out to be. It’s funny though because I’ve see many best protagonist debates in the past and with CJ some people think he’s the best simply because he’s the most customisable lol. Besides most of this stuff is purely for cosmetics and nothing more. If anything I’d like to see clothing having more of a gameplay benefit like the outfiits in RDR.

Imagine each legendary animal got a unique: glove, belt, gun belt, bandolier, holster, saddle, saddle bags, saddle blanket, hat, coat, vest, trinket, gun wrap, gun variant, boot, etc. etc. etc. etc. Make them look real good, make them gold only and sell them at the right price. Not too high, not too low. R* could have made a killing in gold sales

Just gotta chime in with the rest of the chorus who think the implementation of Gus' legendary coats are just plain lazy. I can appreciate the detail on the hoods but really they're goofy as hell and I almost never have them up. There's basically one cut, two if I'm being extremely generous, and it suffers from the same clipping issues that have plagued every tailed-coat worn on anything but the default body type since day one. It's a shame because I'm sure most people can find at least a few they like the look of, I'm partial to the Red Streak Coyote trim myself, but then we don't even have the option to choose different fabric colours for the rest of the coat. I looked them up online, decided which I liked the look of and haven't bothered getting any of the rest despite numerous opportunities. What's the point?

Cool, a new react buttons, but something still missing: the "why?" react. I rather have both Trump and Biden satires at the same time. Only having one of them will show which side that biased Rockstar IMO.

I know right. It's kind of amazing when you change outfits in RDR, like what it really makes this big difference (eg being able to approach a hostile gang by wearing their outfit or - if you've 100%ed - put on the bureau uniform and be completely immune from getting wanted/a bounty)??? I think the closest they came with GTA was just dipping their toe in the water with letting you in the army base in VC if you put the cop outfit on. I don't know why they wouldn't use outfits for cool stuff that everyone would love such as having a way to cause trouble without a wanted level after completing the game when they didn't mind going all in with it in RDR. I'm kind of surprised they didn't expand on the cop outfit from VC in SA, or go for it in V with their more is more approach to those games. Totally agree, I love that stuff. I also really like how they used Random Encounters in IV to let you meet some previous story characters again to expand their story a bit more or catch up with them. I think around half of them were story characters we'd already met and half new characters. Blending the main missions and side stuff like that was a cool idea, I prefer it to random events/strangers and freaks in V being totally separate from the story. Although I would say the friendship system wasn't done that badly in V. I'd prefer to still get calls from friends (not always have to call them) and girlfriends or at least booty calls who have actual conversations, and maybe a better selection of friends to hang out with lol, and some friendship perks. But I do like that they removed the having to hang out to avoid percentages going down, and I think the hangouts and conversations themselves are very good, one thing they have over IV's is that alongside the conversations that can happen whenever there's also ones that only happen during certain times that refer to/reflect what's going on in the story. And they expanded on being able to phone certain characters for a conversation at certain times in the story too (in IV it was mostly just Roman, in V it's a selection). So it's not all bad, my ideal would be a mix of the IV and V systems.

If you'd suggested the whole Four Seasons Fiasco for Veep you'd have been thrown out of the writer's room for being too ridiculous. Trump announcing it was at the Four Seasons (clearly before it was booked), a staffer booking the "next best thing" (that being a Four Seasons), the conference being delayed by 30 mins (coincidentally the drive time from the hotel to the landscapers'), Trump himself being on a golf course when it happened, not to mention all this clusterf*ck happened between a sex shop and a crematorium so the headline "they didn't know whether they were coming or going" literally writes itself. And to top it all off, the election being called while it happened, and journalists slipping away one by one before the end.

(Work in progress) The program can now accept Dragged images both from the local files and the browser page. Meaning, user can simply drag and drop the image to the app window and it should pick a color from the car on that picture. Works with any image in the browser - including, but not limited to Google Search results. The color recognition is just a placeholder and it's only accurate when car takes 90% of the picture as it is done via basic color quantization algorithm, not an actual ML. The feature will be polished and included into one of the upcoming builds.

Unfortunately, even if Georgia elects two Democrats, because there are two independent seats in the Senate currently, Republicans are going to be a majority party with 50 seats. Sure, Harris will break any ties, and a lot of issues will see 50/50 splits, but McConnel is still going to be Senate Majority Leader, which is a lot of power. I hope we have better luck in 2022. I think, a lot more Republican seats are expiring that year. I don't see why you have to wait. For me personally, hate's a strong word, but I dislike Biden strongly. I don't think he's going to be a horrible president, but there are a lot of people who would do much, much better. I think even Harris would do better job as president, so I very much hope Biden will be mostly hands-off. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. Fortunately, it looks like 2016 election has taught us to put that aside and make the best of the sh*t situation; vote for lesser evil. And now that Biden's voted in, the next step in making the best of the situation is continuing to push for changes we really need to prevent these kinds of bad choices from keep happening. If you live in a state that hasn't signed, National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, write to your state senators and representatives to demand it. And push for systems better than first-past-the-post for elections. We really ought to be using approval voting or instant-runoff voting when electing president, and probably something like single transferable vote when electing representatives. Won't solve all the problems, but we'll be in a situation where we have to vote in and then get behind a bad candidate a lot less common.
