This has me kind of down about the game tbh. It is yet another glaring example of R* not giving a flying f*ck about the players. We all knew, even if deep down, that the low population lobbies were neither permanent or what R* wanted, but seriously, the only acceptable point at which the player count should have been increased is when higher lobby population didn't render the game lifeless and devoid of playable content. I hate to keep harping on, but R* are clearly putting their ideological vision of how they want the game to be played before both their ability to implement said ideology and player experience. Who at R*, in their right f*cking mind, thinks that having more players in a lobby where nothing spawns is better than having less players in a lobby where the full array of content is available? Now that we have played the game in a fully working state for an extended period of time, having lifeless lobbies thrust back upon us, with little to no improvements made, feels like a slap in the face.

I absolutely cannot wait for the screeching on here whenever Rockstar inevitably delays GTA VI for the first time. V was funny enough.

I think that increase in player counts kinda killed it for me again. I was happily doing dailies for fun and enjoying the careless travels for months. I tried a few dailies and after looking for 4 deer to skin for half an hour, I had enough of it. The best thing about the game world is that I felt it was mine, when population was low. No PlaYeR InTerAcTiOnS, an alive and vibrant world, no issues to disturb the immersion, it was bliss. That feeling is gone again.

I got a verbal warning for reposting CLEO+, the warning wrongfully claims that CLEO+ was stolen and not made by that banned member (Junior_Djjr). What do you mean with stolen and claimed to be their own? He IS the author of CLEO+ lol. And from his own words, he allowed us to share it with mod developers so they can create better CLEO scripts. "I worked hard to create CLEO+ and all I want is for it to become something common, a standard in the community, but my topic has been excluded from the GTA Forums. Well i don't know about you GTA refugees but I'll be taking refuge in Cyberpunk 2077 until VI releases, game seems pretty nice with it's graphics and cars.

not being triggered but it's kinda ironic calling cyberpunk unrealistic while gta online has gone so far from realism in the last couple of years that it almost doesn't even count as gta anymore.

The Twitter comments under the delay announcement post show there's plenty of people vocal enough to show that they care. And what does realism have to do with anything anyway?

Guess it's that time of year again. My interest in the next update is finally rising and the realization that it is only about a month and a half away (if it comes in the middle of December like usual) is nice. Admittedly I have little interest in anything but the cars. I don't even play GTA:O anymore. I will if the location if it's an actual new map, otherwise, just the cars interest me and I want to be overwhelmed day one when I drive all of them on PC. I have a good feeling we'll get a big amount of vehicles, with maybe 25-30 road cars alone. Fingers crossed for a Cullinan, DBX, M8 Competition, new Escalade and the obligatory old cars (as long as they're good I'll take whatever).

Assuming the release date is December 8th; Latest reveal: Week of November 26th Earliest reveal: Week of November 12th - Rockstar are a bit funny with reveal posts for GTA, it always seems to be; in the Thursday Newswire / later on Thursday evening / anytime Friday - Earliest reveal being week of the 12th gives them that entire month to build hype to match After Hours and the Casino Update... except, this is a HEIST DLC - Latest reveal happening in the week of the 26th for a Dec 8th release is tight but standard in the 2016-2017 era... but I can't imagine them doing that for what is supposed to be GTA Online's biggest ever update (and potentially last MAJOR update for this generation... unless factors yet to play out would allow for CnC to be dug up and finished off for late Spring, potentially boosting profits beyond what would've been expected for 2021). Then again, the Diamond Casino Heist update was pretty radio silent post-announcement

GTA Online is one of the most profitable online game on consoles, if not the most profitable there is. So the game becoming a full blown MMO is not something too far fetched, yes it would feel very "unrockstar" like, but we all know that the company that would once mercilessly mock other game companies for shady business practices in their online game, is now turned into a very similar kind of company. Business-wise this move makes a lot of sense that now we are getting a standalone GTA Online version for next gen, and supposedly said version is meant to be overhauled so it can extract the maximum capacity of next gen consoles. I said supposedly because it would be very f*cking stupid of them to not overhaul this game's engine and future proof it for the next generations, if their plan is turning it into a full blown MMO....As it stands, this game's technical aspects are beyond broken and frankly should be considered unacceptable by today's standards. Just the fact that this game runs on outdated Peer-to-peer servers already tells its age, and then there's the hilariously ineffective anti-cheat which never works as intended as the hackers will always be one step ahead from R* mainly due to how the Peer-to-peer servers works, which allows the modders to inject their modkits client-sided, and if they get banned they can get another account up and running under a single day. So yeah, for me it's very likely that GTA Online is turning into a full blown MMO, as it's not only into R* and TTWO interests but for me it seems like they are working on making that a reality. The only thing defying my theory is the supposed 64-player cap per session that is coming on the next gen versions, it's quite a small number for an MMO and looking at the scale of what this game could become, I think it's possible that R* is playing it safe for now.

While Rancher is quite fun, it was a hopeless struggle to keep up with Kamachos and Trophy Trucks. So it probably stays in the garage, collecting dust mostly. Club on the other hand brought the compact class back from death. Practically in every playlist event there's at least one compact (read: Club) race nowadays. It's a fun and versatile little car, handles like a charm, it's great for narrow technical races and also a perfect rally car. Hopefully we'll get another cool rivalling hot hatch with the next DLC (Mmmm.. Peugeot 205 T16...)

I've been in your shoes. Took a 3 month break. When I came back, it was nice. Remembered what I love about the game so much.
