It's by far the cheapest vehicle from this update and has plenty of customization options. It should have been an update to existing Dukes though not a completely separate model. The Naturalist role was the one opportunity they had to do something amazing with legendary animals. The sheer number of them we've had and their variants.. can you imagine the amount of amazing outfits we could be making? Mission trolls are the absolute worst. I just wanna relax and play some missions like the good old days on last gen, but some scrotum sack in the session feels the need to either sabotage the mission or troll me by running me over, destroying my personal vehicle, or constantly ramming into my car like a certified twat for no reason. It's always satisfying when I manage to give them a taste of their own medicine and kill them until they're forced to spectate. If it's just me and them in the mission, I might go AFK for an hour just to piss them off even more, forcing them to leave without a payout. I love that sh*t. Once, I joined a contact mission with this rank 900+ who just wanted to troll me in his Insurgent constantly ramming into me, sending me texts like "Haha rank 800 noob. I'm higher rank than you. Noob!". Brain damage at its finest. He wasn't there to do the mission at all, only harass the next victim that dared to join his lobby next. How much of a dick do you have to be to do something like that? Seriously. Must be a sociopath in real life. What happened in the end? I ended up slicing his character with helicopter blades, forcing him to spectate. I managed to force him out of his vehicle somehow after trolling back (can't remember all the details) and he was stood on top of a bush so I couldn't flatten him with my car, which I believe may have been a Nightshark. I tried to think smart and called Merryweather for a helicopter pick up. The helicopter landed, and I quickly got out and hijacked it, just before he attempted to hijack it from me. As soon as the helicopter left the ground, I positioned the blades towards his path and sliced him real good. F*cker ended up spectating. I sent him some taunting messages laughing at him, and he had a complete change of tone and attitude, going from tough sh*t to pretending like he's laughing with me because he knew he got humiliated. I believe this was Bad Sport, too, so I think I encountered the pathetic prick again in a free roam lobby. I ended up mugging his sorry ass. He then sent me a salty message. Must have remembered me from when I embarrassed him in that mission. C*nt.

So yeah, I played Red Dead Redemption 1 for the first time ever. And I can immediately tell it is a superior open-world game to GTA V. Like, damn, all these things were already implemented in RDR1, 3 years before GTA V: -Improved lighting, weather and water effects (with puddles forming on the ground during the rain, etc). -Smoother player movement and animations (with automated stepping over low obstacles, movement animation stopping when walking towards a wall, etc). -Foliage being dynamic when the player/NPCs move through them. -More fluid cutscene-to-gameplay transitions. -Ability to pause cutscenes. -Random events (that are actually random!). -Weapon wheel (but implemented better: no stupid time stopping & reasonable ammo caps). -Inventory menu. -Mission checkpoints in a full game (without as control freak like mission scripting). -And obviously, animals. Yet, the physics, gunplay, hand-to-hand combat, AI, climbing system and movement in interiors all seem better than in GTA V. The gore as well and the executions are badass. Also there's crouching. The icing on the cake is that the countryside actually feels like a countryside, unlike in GTA V. I love the storytelling so far too, and there's even singleplayer story DLC, probably Rockstar's last ever. What the f*ck happened during the development of Grand Theft Auto V?

As someone who grew up surrounded by the great music through the 70's and 80's I had the standard VH albums. Heck, I even saw them in 84. Not really my core style but certainly still enjoyable. From Diver Down (one of those albums we all had) The only time I start to feel old is when the musicians and actors I grew up with start dying.

I was looking at the price of things in the game so I decided to have a little fun and see what those prices would equal in 2020. Some of those coats from Max are around $500. That is the equivalent of $15,471 today. Now, that 10 cents you loot off bodies is equal to about $3.00 today. Even the "cheap" shirts would cost about $1200 today. So, based on R*s outlandish prices, if this were actually 1900 or thereabouts, no one except the extremely wealthy would have clothes. I feel bad for the new players and how they are pretty much gouged in the game because of R* just making up random, nonrealistic prices for things from the era. It used to be not so much of an issue. But things costing in the 100s of dollars, or at least 5 times more than they should considering the years this game covers, is forcing players to suffer in their abilities to get ahead. I reckon it's a way to try to force players to buy gold but if that's the mindset at R*, they are jerks.

If they expand collector, I think they'd probably add something like "legendary" collectibles; missions that you have to visit someone to launch, that involve raiding a tomb, or killing a group of rival treasure hunters. These missions might be somewhat randomized like Bounty Hunter stuff, maybe with three difficulty levels?

For what it lacks in speed and handling it more than makes up for in design and aesthetic. I'll mention again, it would make a really good Christmas login gift... it would save R* from having to give away a new car or piece of hardware and would finally allow anyone to own it.

I miss ordering food at a saloon or renting a room or bath. When you first join online, you meet those horse fences if I remember right, and they mention they'll have their "business" up and running at some point. Been over 2 years since the game released and still no horse selling. We can't even sell horses we've bought when we want to get rid of them.

Nah, we have seen they lack creativity... a competent company or at least one with a sense of pride aside money, would fire half the team or just listen to the best ideas the fans sended... here there have been a few that deserve such a treatment.

I want to know where the train cars carrying my gold are, going by weight I have almost 57,500 lbs of gold lying around somewhere. I'm sure they meant more like a Gold Bar = an ounce bar, but even then I should have 133 lbs of loose ounce bars.

A great idea, actually--would provide the flexibility for players to still loot like crazy, but vary how valuable the loot is. Last night I managed to get what I consider one of the hardest to find jewelry items in the game--a silver chain necklace. I loot NPCs -all- the time, but turns out it's only on some wealthy women NPCs (even then fairly rare).

Exactly my feelings when I played RDR the first time a few months ago lol. I was messing around experimenting with shooting and executions the other day and I noticed that not only are there fairly realistic and gory looking bullet wounds that stay on the body/face where you shoot someone, there's even exit wounds (for example if you shoot someone's face it'll be bloody/destroyed and you can see where the bullet tore out of the back of their head). You can shoot weapons out of people's hands to disarm them, and if they can they'll pick them up again. You can do a selection of different executions at close range, or shoot someone's legs and they'll drop to their knees and draw their gun/continue shooting at you, and you can run up and do special executions just for that position, shooting them in the head at point blank range or stabbing them in the throat with a throwing knife. You can shoot someone in the back and they'll crawl along on their belly bleeding out or injure a leg so they escape with a limp. Shoot any random oil lamp that happens to be near an enemy to set them on fire. Shoot someone's hat off without injuring them. The shooting and enemies' responses to being shot in general feel so much more realistic and satisfying. Even just the detail of the combat alone blows V out of the water, not to mention all the other stuff. It's a shame.

I originally downvoted it the first time 'cause I confused it with the Hellion. Both being boxy vehicles of the same era, and I don't play GTAO like I used to.

LC isn't that small, or at least R* disguised it very well, bcz it's a city with almost zero open space of landscape, it's almost narrows streets, due the size of the city being full of buildings. The problem with LC being harder to make rather a smaller island like Santa Catalina (and i don't no anythig about programming, coding, etc., aswell) is the fact that getting a small island like Santa Catalina would be similar to the landscape of los santos, since the real island have a little city or probably most accurate to say, a town, and rural roads that you don't have the necessity of dedicate so much time with traffic sinalization and line of codes for those npc drivers, etc., like you would need in LC, neither the amount of detail of that city due to being quite big. And SC would be lighter to implement in this current gen in almost the end of it's time.

I'd love a spitball shooter. I used to have a lot of fun with those as a kid. I don't think so. Stop talking about more collectibles. I'm OCD about those things. Last thing I need is more.

technically, absolutely. but there is some kind of magic, which makes hidden items interesting. never changed since the start of gaming... I even see a whole different experience, while a.) playing the collector role with the interactive map open (magic gone) and b.) just discovering some items by your own (magic still there)

My favorite hat, the Bolero, costs 8 gold bars. I just looked it up, a typical good bar weighs 27 pounds. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $6,500,000 in today's money for an off the shelf hat. I wish they had used copper, silver and gold coins to add a little realism.

Thing is, those games can't simply be remastered, they'd have to be remade. Games that came out in the last 3 or so years of the 360/PS3 era are fairly simple to remaster, the assets are pretty good (not current gen AAA standards, but acceptable) and due to the PC versions - which either barely existed or were dogturd back in the early to mid 2000's due to publishers being terrified of piracy - they can port them pretty easy to modern consoles, dial up the settings, tweak a few things here and there and ship it. Games like Underground, Most Wanted and Carbon are simply too old at this point to remaster, they'd have to do a full blown remake and start from scratch I'd imagine.
