So as im sure most of you are aware, GTA:Online released on October 1st 2013, so the game turned 7 years old today. Figured somebody would make a thread but either im looking in the wrong place or nobody did, so heres one. I think it would be fun to make this thread about pretty much random things, general-chat-thread-like but while looking back at the past few years that you've been playing the game. Like, what was your most and least favorite DLC's? whats your fondest or worst memory? what award or unlock or random fact are you most proud of achieving? and what least? what do you really want them to change for the re-re-release? and what should stay the same? will you keep playing? or are you done with the game now? etc etc etc, just chat about the past 7 years and a few days from now this can just be merged into general chat thread or something. To kick things off, heres some of the stuff i wanted to mention: So like, discuss, what stood out to you in the past 7 years?

7 months damn. That feels like yesterday but at the same time feels like a whole year ago too. Lets hope that no more of that foolishness happens again. But chances are it might repeat itself over and over.

Funny how in the single instance in which Merryweather blatantly spawning in front of us would actually benefit us, they spawn as far as possible instead. It doesn't help that they go aggro on any player who passes by, so good luck chasing a Merryweather Mesa or Insurgent lol

Bravado Youga Classic 4x4 - 34 I remember when Rockstar released the X80 Proto many moons ago, and my personal feeling of dread that they could release an X81 Proto, or whatever, for another unreasonable price tag and keep on doing so ad infinitum. That dread has come to pass with the new set of open-wheel racers, and although I think they are awesome additions to the game and more options are better than no options at all, simply tweaking a few body parts and charging 3+ million feels like my worst fears have come to pass. They released the PR4 and the R88 beforehand, which emphasizes my point. What next, the B66, F12, Grunt99? However, if Rockstar release retro OPW racers from the fifties and sixties, I'm all for that as an avid collector. Fangio for the win!

I always wished the normal version was just a regular C/K pick-up, with the airbags being optional, and even though this thing isn't completely in that realm of being stock, that's perfectly fine because this thing is so badass on its own. The customization is great, and you can make several different vehicles out of it. I also love how they called it the Yosemite Rancher, since the K-5 Blazer was just a shorted K-10 anyway. Might be confusing to some, but I thought it was actually really clever. If you ask me, Benny's definitely came back from the dead. Let's just hope it stays that way.

So I won the podium vehicle this morning (Coil Brawler) and was very excited. 1st thing I did was drive it over to LCS for some upgrades, and was pleased to find many off-road light racks for it. Once I am done, I drive out only to find that I have yet another vehicle with phony, useless light racks. WTF R*. Why even bother adding off-road lights if you are not going to script them to function?? Ah yes, you added them so unsuspecting players would purchase them and then have to pay to remove your worthless shat. Great job screwing over your customers and what could have been an awesome mod. By the way... I thought “Coil” vehicles were supposed to be electric. Evidently the Brawler is not.

I wished that there would be better events for this week because of GTA Online turning 7. Oh well, I guess R* doesn't want us to remember that the game is older than the average player GTA Online has evolved a lot in 7 years though. Who would have thought that this game would still be going strong 7 years later with features like personal yachts, oppressor mk2's, arcades and casino being available?

There are still a few around. I had some dimwit rank 8 start shooting at me on the way to the butcher, horse fully loaded and dragging a deer. Got my sales done and he was standing beside me with his lasso out, but I rode away. I'm sure he was confounded why that didn't work (defensive mode), then he tried shooting at me again. I stopped and dropped him with a Carcano round to the chest and continued riding back to camp, then he tries to have a feud with me. Feck off, dipsh*t! Obviously someone hauling a bunch of cargo on their way somewhere in defensive mode is looking for a gunfight... The game was laggy anyway, trains had disappeared and the screenshot software was acting strange, I had no patience for gunslinger wannabees. Did my camp donations and had to run a supply mission. Wasn't even gonna bother swapping to bolt action and semi-auto shotgun (I keep both loaded with explosive ammo just for grieftards), but he was gone by then.

I agree with the bottom paragraph, but unfortunately it's a R* online game and we're all too used to it being compromised. GTA:O is compromised in favour of the PvP/griefer element (more so regarding businesses), RDRO currently the opposite. Neither game really offers all playstyles the game they want, only the game R* wants us to play their way. I long for true competition for this company to push them to be more creative, offer much more freedom, and actually address all the petty beta-esque bugs their online games still have. But they've got a stranglehold on things too much and aren't pushed like they need to be to truly deliver. They're so complacent. Although this horsesh*t never fails to entertain, lol. Some really believe everyone should be sheep and think the same, want the same, and be the same. Almost as if 'preference' or 'opinion' are words removed from their vocabulary. Look those two words up young man, humans have always had different opinions and wants from their entertainment. Suck it up, that's life. You seek people to bully? How tragic! GTAO left a mark in my gaeming history. Despite i find this game too bad in it's current state, it's impossible to ignore facts that it gave me so much positive experience. I've been playing this game since late 2016 and have 2100+ hours on record (both SP and Online), what a journey! All the people i've met playing this game, all the people i stopped contacting with cuz of this game. I've been presented to the whole new communtiy, such as this forum. Online was so flexible game. I enjoyed playing this game as intended, roleplaying and even modding (singleplayer) a bit. One of my favorite features is Rockstar Editor, i love making shots in games, used to make random pictures in Garry's Mod, but then GTAO offered me a fresh and modern game engine, so i gave it a try. And now im back to Source engine again (^:

IMO the "Birds of Paradise" collection (Entity XF, Cheetah, FMJ, Tyrus) is also worth it. It contains 2 top-tier and 2 mid-tier cars. So that's 2x$80k + 2x$50k +4x$50k = $460k, compared to $320k for selling 4 top-tier cars. However, importing and exporting mid-tier cars until you get the collection types technically creates a loss of $30k per non-collection car. (Maybe a little less because damage on mid-tier cars is not as expensive.) Still, assuming 2 non-collection cars are required to get 1 collection car, which is close to the actual 33% odds, you'd still come out on top. They sell at specialist dealer prices: $80k / $50k / $30k.

I'd guess that if we're getting one, it'll be after GTA V E&E. To be fair, visually, RDR2/RDO doesn't really need a remaster. The main reason I want a remaster is if it comes with the R* Editor.

Just for fun reasons (and non permanent) I dressed both my characters up in the very limited Asian clothing items.

They got a lot of things backwards: the poster child for fuxed up firearms is the Volcanic. Of course if it was realistic (really, really, REALLY poor damage), no one would ever use it, but still. I'd love to have those Remingtons, they were always my favorite revolver. For now I'll stick to the LeMats, even though they were super rare in reality.

That would be good. That they gather their sh*t together and deliver a proper functioning ballistic weapon, as we have been out of them since the colt navy. Forgive me double barrel rifled lovers! but that crap only works with PIB and you know it.

I thought when it first came out that the naturalist role would put us in the middle of Harriet and Gus(it did), but I figured Gus would be more involved like having to do missions, working both sides. But instead we sell crap to Gus and do meaningless things for Harriet only to get sprayed in the face for playing the rest of the roles normally.
