-Horley: serious, calmed character, to make contrast with other over the top ones. -Gus: not a sadistic c*nt like he was teased to be in the introduction of the last update. I find it funny when he walks to his side after buying or selling things to you, he reminds me Hitchcock in that mannerism lol -Hamish: truly nice guy. -Valentine gunsmith: looks like a younger Vince McMahon to me, I picture my character hitting him with a bedpan and I laugh my ass off.

  11. What bugs me is when, say, Strauss Zelnick tries to bring up how "games cost more to make", more as a 'thought-terminating cliché' than an actual reason. Because think about it: - Games only cost more if you chase higher production values. Yeah, the entire culture has normalised the current "AAA" arms race, where demand for higher-fidelity graphics, longer/more expansive experiences, never-ending 'live services' which require constant creation of new Content™, etc. - but it's not like publishers couldn't market something else instead, and put the brakes on the excess train. Games don't 'need' to be bigger, grander, etc. - throwing money at things like horse balls doesn't make for better game design, after all. To indulge in a bit of hyperbole, it's like a meth dealer saying they only make so much because gosh darn it, demand from tweakers is so damned high... - But okay, so even working under the assumption that "AAA" somehow 'must' outdo the previous high-water mark for graphical 'realism', driving up production costs, it's not like the likes of R* are living hand-to-mouth, are they? Same as with the 'if people didn't spend on microtransactions, DLC wouldn't get made' argument - for instance, R* sold more copies of GTA V in 24 hours than CDPR did with the Witcher 3 in one year. There's no doubt that some companies are sitting on huge piles of money, to the point where it's arguable that R* could have easily financed GTAO update development from GTA V sales, without needing Shark cards (like how both Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne managed to put out a year of free updates, relying largely on regular sales instead of sales and limitless microtransactions). There is a truth to the idea that 'without massive amounts of ongoing revenue, post-launch content wouldn't happen', but it's because if shareholders and executives didn't feel they were making enough of a return, they'd call time on production - and without bringing up that bit of context, just saying 'without microtransactions, updates wouldn't happen' in isolation sounds like 'if players don't keep the money coming in, we can't afford to keep making new stuff'. They clearly can afford it, because again, some of the biggest companies are sitting on sh*tloads of money from previous sales juggernauts. And yeah, there's something a bit rich about the same people arguing that uncapped microtransactions are somehow 'necessary' to finance increasingly expensive game development (often by arguing that "if we didn't add totes optional in-game spending to all our games, we'd have to jack prices up"), only to then go and jack up prices anyway, because that's also 'necessary'. Oh, but the microtransactions aren't going away, though - presumably the logic is that players have now just accepted them as a normal part of the "AAA" experience, and so now it's just a case of getting $70 base price normalised in turn. And it'll happen, because the vast majority of people will bite the bullet and accept the hike, rather than drawing a line in the sand and saying they won't spend more than $60. Personally, I can't wait for GTA V to come out on next-gen consoles for $70, with whatever texture/lighting/etc. upgrades being seen as justification enough for pricing a (re-)re-release of a fundamentally eight-year-old game at the new 'normal' (even though, for comparison, Saints Row the Third Remastered has had more drastic upgrades, includes all the DLC, and still only costs $40).

It makes sense to block the 3rd Reich but reich is part of so many german words that it is nearly impossible to text some other german person via in-game chat. Words that contains "reich" and are forbidden in in-game chat Österreich ( Austria) Frankreich (France) reich (rich) Hilfreich (helpful) Abwechslungsreich ( diversified) Lehrreich ( instructive) Ruhmreich (glorious) Siegreich ( victorious) Unerreicht ( unmatched) Es reicht ! Been messing around with some of the more 'old-timey' filters recently - one for the adventurer's scrapbook (complete with trusty pooch): Not sure if artsy or ever-so-slightly sp00py...: Really like this one - between the location, the lighting, and the horse/outfit combo, it looks like the most like a proper old-fashioned photo. Aside from just 'lol, massive horse', my utterly fearless Shire (Samson) helped me finally nab a sample from the legendary Teca Gator, so I figured we ought to do something to commemorate it:

He is the one NPC in game I want to be able to do horrible things to Harriet - doesn't bother me too much, especially when she is sitting and drawing a nude woman viewed sitting from the back; I thought of it as my character, one of the times after Harriet maced me. "Oh Harriet, so naughty..." Am I the only one who picks up on a "flirty" vibe from her? She is also one of the prettier NPCS. I love her voice too, someone mentioned it sounds like your possible CEO secretary in GTAV online; THAT was where I'd heard it before, it does! Van Horn Fence - I like that guy too You kind of forget about him, being out of the way. I think if there was a movie, he'd be played by Zach Galifinakasahsewass (SP.) Cripps - He still always cracks me up, "... that latrine situation, out back..." For someone I see every time I play, he is pretty OK; just wish they'd update his stories, from time to time. Why do they call the guy "Phil the crab" anyway? More outfits for him would be cool too, so disappointed he did not get an outrageous Naturalist "hippie" one! He is not a fan of the old guy I always feed, but I keep feeding that guy thinking someday something magical will happen!

I hope that they are, I mean I have a free 3-D program that I was able to purchase models to make better undead than that. You telling me that they cannot do it themselves? If anything give them a bit of damage like this guy And I am hoping for undead animals just throw a rotted model over the existing model's skeleton and there you go. Zombie doggies anyone? I thought I was the only one. Seen lots of monks around where I lived in Nepal. Even if it's not them it's pretty cool. Hopefully the mode is fun. There is that monk in story mode that is on the mountain that you can tease. It was a hilarious interaction, maybe that's what this is all about?

Your best GTA V memories - 7th Anniversary

Essay time! 7 years, bloody hell! When this game released, my lad was 8 and not even allowed to watch me play, forward to today and it's been a delight to usher him in as a new fan of the franchise because of this game. That's been pretty special to me. Irreplaceable times! We've since played through the entire franchise together now and both as keen as each other to see what comes next. To watch him learn what the stories offered and relive so many memories but through a new pair of eyes was quite fresh too. Like all GTA's over the years, this game continues to serve me so well. That night back in 2013 when me and my buddy stayed up near all night playing and exploring R*'s new world and story was an absolute blast. From the very start this game had me hooked right back into paradise really. The snow filled North Yankton was a sight to behold, the dynamics to those opening cutscenes really had me gripped and wanting more, I had to restrain myself from doing more story so I could just adventure around the map and take in the sights. That certainly didn't disappoint either, that first foray into a new R* world always brings out some epic vibes and it was no different here in GTA V. Instantly fell in love with Trevor, what a lively character he is, and what an impact in his opening mission strand when he took on the bikers there, and to read some stories of how pissed some were over his full introduction was and still can be entertaining too. The whole dynamic of 3 protagonists and heisting was a real hook too, and also knowing we could one day heist with our friends in the online part was something I just had to try. Couldn't wait and the delays just teased me further, f*ck I just wanted to see how they'd play out. The heists didn't disappoint either, still some of my favourite aspects in this game. From a smash n grab at the jewel store in story to a classic raid of Pac Standard. So much fun had on those. So many adventures in online, which was the first time I played anything online. I had no expectations and was so green when I started too, but to go into a GTA where I could role play as a character I created and build up from there was and still is a cracking part of all this. Story modes will always be the real sell for me as I love R*'s worlds, stories, and sense of humour. But online as a cartoonish and naughty criminal me, oh yes please! Sure, I've had aspects to B&M about as the game shows so much potential for now and in future games, who hasn't, lol. Just looking at RDRO of late with how immersive that map is shows how much this game could do with more interiors and little aspects like looting in houses. How San Andreas' robbery side missions hasn't been added here us a real shame for example. Criminal, lol. Of course, like anyone, I've had the odd bad sessions, weather it be me off-form or the game has a moment, or some little sh*t playing up, lol. But aside the odd moment, I've had so many positive times out there in Los Santos, topped by the way the original heists really did deliver for me and my few back then that we'd built up as a cool lil' group. Over the years I've met so many players if all types and ages too. Mouthy kids, batsh*t adults, kids that can actually play well, and met some truly like minded adults I just clicked with almost instantly from all areas of the game. From race rivals that just grew a mutual respect of each other's abilities to fellow co-op mission or heist fans that relished taking on the bigger challenges of elites and criminal mastermind etc. I've had some epic blowouts too with some that served us both well to just let rip on each other after a long day of stressful real life, just what the doctor ordered. As some here may testify to, I can enjoy getting stuck into some meaty topics, lol. Finding this place has only increased my fun in GTA too. From chat about online to finding older threads/sections about all the series' story modes to off topic stuff too, bit of movie or footie chat is always cool to read. Being able to vent is always good too, and to know I'm not alone in some criticisms is good to learn too. Being able to help some players unsure to find their way with a bit of helpful info, or further meet more like minded fans is always quite rewarding thanks to here. And then there's the cars. The way we could steal some, buy some, and tune some cars and bikes etc has always been an aspect I've really enjoyed seeing grow too. To go from where we started to now having a good couple of hundred cars and more with hangars, motorbike clubhouses, blimey. Happy days spent there! And to think, there was a time where I thought the original heists were all we'd see there with those. R* certainly eluded to that not growing, but here we are, not just more heists to come, but it's our 4th heist DLC and said to be the biggest DLC yet. Colour me intrigued. Doomsday came with some tougher challenges to overcome, and rightful criticism, that act 3 finale can be a real bitch, but so rewarding to complete too. And to have run a criminal mastermind there with my son will forever be one of my real gaming highlights of my life in gaming over the last 30 years or so. The casino heist was another gem for its flexibility too. Really looking forward to what comes next this winter. 7 years later and this game still has me eager for what comes next, both good or bad. And my eagerness to see what the next GTA will be is as high as ever too, can't wait really. If anyone would have told me I'd get this much from 1 game I'd have laughed you out the room. No way! But yeah, happy birthday GTA V. And chop chop with the next one please. ✌

re: character transfer The tech is seemingly all there, they just didn't do it for PC for ??????????????????????????????????????????. They'll do it for next-gen and if we're lucky we may see PC finally get PS4/XB1 > PC transfers as well. There's absolutely nothing to worry about regarding it.

To the people worried about character transfer: What are you smoking? There is no rational reason to even have a slight doubt that our progress will naturally carry over to the new consoles, with a new version or backwards compatibility. Seems more like concern trolling or complaining for the sake of it.

And thats what I mean by "while you do other missions in the game". Literally every part of this game includes traveling somewhere. Having the map opened up lets you earn some extra cash on the way by picking up stuff thats near your destination point without the need of "blindly fallowing" every collectible on the map (or even worse, by actually buying maps from Madam Nazar). Thats the fastest and easiest way to earn some cash at the start of the game. No matter what DLC you want to focus on first you can pick some stuff thats right next to you. He'll buy it sooner or later no matter what but doing it earlier lets him earn more money. My mistake was not buying both of those things right away and focusing on doing bounty missions instead. And by the time he even gets enough of gold and money to buy those things, he'll already gonna have to play the game for "a couple of hours/days" just as you said. So my tip is just an extension of the things you already said.

Here's something to consider about the original Doomsday, - only 4 out of 29 missions actually used completely new interiors, 5 if you include the Avenger Hangar given how close the two were released. - 13 out of 29 missions are dedicated to test driving the new toys that came with the update, just like Special Vehicle Work & Mobile Operations, with a bit of a mish mash of heavy ground combat in that count. If Doomsday 2 was just Act's 4 & 5 launched from the Facility, they can only make at most, 10 preps, 10 setups and 2 finales. One finale taking place under Zancudo and the other? New floors of the IAA Building? Yellow & Red quarters of Chilliad Missile Base? Most importantly, they'd have to explain the Chilliad Mural in a cutscene... maybe give Ron a moment like Lester and the Whiteboard. EDIT: I've just remembered they doubled up certain Prep Missions in the Doomsday Heist, so they could actually have 20 Prep Missions, and possibly even 20 setups maximum.

Why do high rank players hate low rank players?

Dopamine addiction to winning. Thats why. They get a high with each kill and its easier to achieve that with low levels who don't have high health or access to good weapons, ammo or armor. R* is a drug dealer, only the drug is in our brain and this game has been tweaked just right to get us all addicted. Tryhards are the "violent crackheads" of this reality. Stay in invite only sessions with friends. Recreational use is fine but keep an eye out for signs of addiction before you start snorting MKII rails.

When you say “high rank” I assume you mean the players ranked 100 - 300, because in my experience, this majority demographic are the worst. The legit high ranks, those 1000+ like me, won’t go after new players in double digits. I mean, the odd second character player aside, there’s no sport in dishing it out to them. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

CDPR in general are heavily inspired by Rockstar, their trailers loosely starting with TW3 but massively so with Cyberpunk are very Rockstar-esque in their style and editing, and yea the website ads and personalities in the game are all very GTA/R* style. They're on record saying Rockstar are their idols too if I recall. World building is one of Rockstar's key strengths that few other devs match and while TW3 wasn't lackluster in that area in any shape or form, Cyberpunk seems like it's on a whole other level. Obviously they're drawing from the source material but to create it and put in the game on the scale they're doing is another thing entirely.

What about the kids that didn't go to collage and have a decent paying job? I'm well aware of paying more, or paying for things you didn't have to in the past. I have a mortgage... I also grew up in a time when TV was free and there wasn't an internet and cell phone bill(s). It costs way more to live now then it did for my parents...but then again my dad was probably making a quarter of my salary at the age I am now....and his job was equally as stressful and demanding. @Microtransactions - who says you have to participate in AAA titles microtransactions?
