I don't understand all the hate for this update. Summer updates are normally small to medium in size and content, and this one appears to have a decent amount of new vehicles, activites, and QoL fixes on the way. Cop's n Crooks was never confirmed, so I'm not sure why people are disappointed about an update that likely never existed. Having Benny vehicles coming back is awesome, as that's a feature thats been criminally ignored by Rockstar for quite some time. I'm really looking forward to this update as it goes back to GTA Online's roots, which is cars and missions.

Don't cut yourself on that edge, and leave it out of this topic.

Lets all hope for this to be in the dripfeed or the actual DLC content at launch.

Can we take a brief moment to actually appreciate the fact that R* still keeps updating a game from 2013? Although the severe lack of communication on their end, it still baffles me that they keep me occupied for almost 7 years on end. Well done. Especially in this time in the world we live in, it's my number one piece of entertainment.

see? that's exactly what i was warning about yesterday. you got too hyped about leaks and now you're disappointed because the dlc is not what you thought (or as big as you thought) it would be based on those leaks i'm happy with what we're getting. it's about time the yacht and the sea get some love, and i'm sure there's all kinds of cars for anyone in there.

This might sound dumb but I’d really like it if they added a massive shopping mall to GTAO where we can walk around and buy stuff and participate in a bunch of mini games!

R* can be criticized for a lot of things, but I'm not sure the alleged cancellation for alleged reasons of an alleged planned update is one of them.

it's perfect. i didn't expect anything large, given the circumstances around the world, plus they finally added something to do with the most underused aspect of the game, even if it seems to be just missions, so i'm looking forward to it

Noticed a new article being made, although there's a vibe of suspicion it might be something else, or I'm reading too much into it since it could have both RDO & GTAO tags. There could be some info about RDO too.

It's very plausible that we are getting the new update this Tuesday and we should be expecting an announcement tomorrow.

note that this update seems to include long awaited features such as ocean missions,yacht stuff and benny's return. perhaps they are using this "filler update" to give us as many long requested things as possible? if so than some new weapons could be coming.

Both the cut weapons (Heavy Rifle, Programmable AR, etc.) and new Mk II weapons are long overdue.

Anyone who argues that advanced handling flags aren't an issue should watch these: Sure, some cars like the Tyrant and the Dominator GTX would become overpowered, but at least they would be actually enjoyable to drive. Yep. if thats true (and mods aren't just trolling us) maybe when the dlc drops @Fun 2 will be able to find some hidden spawn points in the game files. Something that will give us hints about the future location. Imagine if they showed us the old regular yacht from one side. But on the other side you get something like this: edit: I'm sure they could find a way around it. A small "hole" texture/prop that makes the ball fall/clip through the ground could be a workaround. If not: - Make a golf mini game on the yacht where you hit targets in the water (hitting sharks and npcs for bonus points) - Make mini golf creator. Just like the cunning stunts update, but for golf. Well to be fair, anything new is a welcoming change for me. We've not really seen anything "new" ever since the last dripfeed car got released. The Open Wheels Race Creator, new exclusive Yacht missions, Bennyboi gets some new vehicles and hopefully some QoL changes is a big in my book.

I just had a thought...i wonder if completing all those yacht missions (maybe they are a small story) we get the ability to move our yacht for free. Like they did with lesters "get rid of the cops" (don't know how the option is called right now) Option after doomsday heist

nope. it's been patched for good. at most i'll be able to get some vehicle names around 10mins-1hour before release, but that won't even be the full list.

Future plans ideally would be to finish the map - mostly the major things like the beta airport, plus recreating Sunshine Autos' map with a waterway in docks, curved Leaf Links bridge, no lighthouse. All cut dialogue to be restored in missions, plus extra things like loan sharks, then possibly with two SCM sets - cut & uncut storyline, cut having no improvisational stuff, with uncut featuring things like the Mr. Moffat mission, Steve's car chase, etc. Similar to how it is currently, with Standard having no removed content like the Stadium & North Beach missions, and Full being closer to beta by removing these, but cut/uncut being an extra set alongside. I'd like for things like weapons to be further implemented, adding ones like the Desert Eagle, Taser etc, with new anim sets, sounds. Hopefully made as a hook/proper implementation, eliminating the need for Maxo's Vehicle Loader as it causes a fair few game issues. Other aesthetic things like a finished up timecyc would be nice, bigger stuff like vehicles would be lovely, too. Vehicles in particular might be done before any of this, as SOBB is releasing them separately here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- None of these things would most likely be done for a long while from now, though I included a donation link at both the end of the release post and the main to show any generosity or support people may want to give, plus to give me more excuse as to spend more of my time on the modification and working toward these things, sooner. The same is true for SOBB, of whom has his own donation section at the end of the second post in his topic, should you wish to support him too.

The art of keeping your expectations low always saves the day, this update looks pretty interesting! Let's hope it teases something about the December Heist and has a good chunk of vehicles and QoL fixes too.

People still defend the dumb handling flags? I bet people will say learn how to drive the cars with them, meanwhile are the same people who refused to learn how to drive in gta iv.
