Thanks for the kind words guys. It was an electrical fire from a faulty wire (cheap landlords, am i right?). Only the external wall was burned, but the place filled with smoke, so a lot of my things are damaged in that sense. For now I gotta relocate while the landlord`s insurance figures out the cost of the damage and makes repairs to the wall and the wiring. The thing that had me most worried was my cat, but it turned out the firefighters put her in the bathroom when they showed up so she is safe. I don`t know what I`d have done without my cat...

Yea the fog really made the map seem bigger than it is, still my favorite map of all time regardless. If the newer systems can handle it I hope R* does add LV/SF all connected to each other like SA. It would be awesome to have a nice road trip with your buddies city to city.

I still don't get why people always think that a big map expansion is going to take place in GTA V Online. This isn't Fortnite. I personally think that ROCKFORD PLAZA will reopen and we'll get to rob it in December, just like the Diamond. The Newswire picture had the new car perfectly covering up the mall behind it. Also, Vincent now works there as security chief, maybe he get's f!cked again by his employers and plans retribution. Speaking of the Diamond, that is the degree of "map expansion" you should expect. don't cry because I'm a realist unlike most of these kids on here. My speculation is just based on actual patterns instead of wishful thinking

Gotta remember we can also see nearly all of the V map at the same time, just some tall hills blocks it off. Map size alone isn't what is important. The scale the maps are at is more importantt. Yes the sa map had the fog but it still is a big map. It takes nearly the same amount of time to fly a hydra across both maps, and takes 2.5 more minutes to drive around the sa map than the V map.

If they expand existing business like ceo crates/vehicle, and add new vip jobs (arena war vehicles with AP points), new business battles rewards, new arcade games, new casino slots, they buff hangar payouts, new aw modes for mention something, i think could be decent, the most important remover the cap and let me but all garages please Rockstar

Not the "online is free" argument again, what is this, 2015? I can't wait for GTAO to be a stand alone, paid for product and I hope R* do the same with RDO on next gen too, just to put this ridiculous argument to bed once and for all.

I'd pay money for a Las Venturas expansion, pretty sure it will be for next gen if it does happen.

My bad I misremembered what it said. Smaller update this summer, so probably a week or two after Red Dead, and then the big island heist update in December. Later this year players can expect more big updates for both games, including some exciting new extensions and augmentations to an existing role in Red Dead Online, and the biggest ever update for GTA Online, featuring our latest take on Heists in an entirely new location."

They always call massive whatever it isn't an obvious filler update. That doesn't mean the word massive will be accurate. Frontier Pursuits set the bar of what it is massive, IMO. If this will bring only one role, better include a LOAD of other stuff to be considered bigger than Moonshiners to begin with...

I was thinking about Liberty City as a new location, and looking at some things, it might be a good guess. First, remember this picture: Middle Park in GTA V's RAGE. Maybe they planned adding LC before and now they're just reusing (improving) the map for December. Second, remember when take 2 sent C&D to modders that tried to release Liberty City mod for GTA V?

Got bored so decided to glitch outside the map to explore.

My question is what could they possibly add to the camera to make it better? Could they be fixing the horrible selfie mode? That would be great because that's where I have the most problems with that camera. For one the character's eyes tend to focus here and there and I have a hard time getting the right angle to actually get him to look at the camera. I wished we could actually move around them with the camera and get better close up portraits. I've been doing the picture thing too when I play by myself, it's just that with the darn Xbox you only can have a certain number of shots and I can spend an hour just deleting old images to take new ones... Wished they could fix that too. Griping about everyone griping is just too much griping! Really though, I'm more disappointed than anything. When I started this game online I was hesitant because I've never played an online game before and I heard the horror stories from GTA. But I adore Red Dead and I was more than willing to support the game and the company for the story they gave me. Turns out this quickly became my favorite game, even the online part. All of the enthusiasm they seemed to have in the beginning about how they were going to make online huge had me excited. And I played day after day for over a year simply because I love this game. Not once did I complain about the bugs, never made a huge stink about the lack of animals and things to do. I was on that R* loving band wagon and as week after week would pass without anything new and only silence from the company, I slowly began to feel like the future wasn't as bright as I was told. Hey I stayed optimistic as long as I could, sadly that enthusiasm is gone now. After creating the dream that was RDR2 I was a fool to think that R* would put that much love and attention into the online version. That is why I am bitter. Everyone has their own reasons for being bitter as well, after the way things have gone down so far, I don't blame them one bit. And I won't shame the ones optimistic either, seeing them hopeful kind of keeps some of that hope up for me. I apologize for my grumpy posts, really I don't mean to be such a downer.

Likewise. I'm genuinely hoping this DLC is the one to turn things around and start to make RDRO into the beast of a game it could and should be. Though I will admit, I am a bit pessimistic, but we'll soon see.

Wow that map really isn't as big as it feels. Amazing what fog does I guess. Still taking "road trips" from city to city was one of my preferred past times in that game and it would be nice to do it again in HD.

The PC version counts as the new gen so the Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC will recieve new updates, while last gen console will stop recieving updates.

Inb4 it's a cold weather clothing option lol. Why would R* break the habit of adding fur trim to something that doesn't need it and charging double the cost of the regular item.

Fixes should not come with Updates. Thats what we have Patches for. They can rush out a Patch to fix Gold/Money exploits but we have to wait months for other fixes like they are features.

It all depends on what they drip feed for me. I didn't mind it so much with the legendary bounties, but drip feeding cosmetics just seems lame. Overall I'm not a fan of drip feeding, it just seems like an artificial way of making an update seem bigger than it is. I'd much prefer R* to release updates that are so packed with content that there's no way even the most hardcore no lifers could rip through it all in 2 days as opposed to releasing a hand full of clothing items one week, a horse and a gun the next, skip a week, a new showdown mode the next etc.

Cancer city is wherever city where GTA Online players are. Carcer city is a place from Manhunt series and honestly... It was mentioned several times across the franchise over the years, but as someone who have played both parts of Manhunt there's not much of a city there. Manhunt was not open world game.

The whole R* is above criticism schtick and the response that anyone who dares voice said criticism is a whining hater is beyond me. If "we" didn't love the games and R* we wouldn't care enough to complain. You'll never see me on an EA forum b*tching about the state of microtransactions in the FIFA franchise, because I don't give enough of a f*ck to bother, I just stopped buying the games. I'm here because I care and when R* (IMO) do something sh*t, I'll say so. You could and can make that point, but complaining about the complaining of others is often even more futile than the original complaints. At least sometimes complaining about an actual issue achieves results, complaining about someone else's perceived negative opinion achieves nothing.

The thing worrying me more is that there might indeed be a large part of the crowd who actually requested the pink/purple furry sh*t. That's the idiots you'll have to share a lobby with, Vinewood cowboys.....

The 'but it's free' people are also the ones who love saying 'the game told me to'. Trolls won't use rational arguments, and I'm sure they don't believe any of the crap they spew, they're just trying to stir up sh*t and hopefully wind someone up enough to get them banned, they are a waste of bandwidth. If they do believe it, then obviously they're not too bright.

If it was coming this Tuesday, R* would have said rather than say 'coming weeks' like they gave the date for RDRO, lol. And it's not worth betting with someone who's using an alternate account in the traditional way (betting your account here) as you're likely gonna lose this alternate account anyway once the mods see ya.

What I'm not too keen on is how R* are using 'fixes' as a selling point to be fair. They should be just fixing things anyway and concentrate on promoting the new content while we see fixes naturally occour between updates and with them. Feels a bit weak really.

Because the answer to every problem or issue is to blindly hand out praise or ignore it completely.

I hope so too, somewhere we can both decorate (like the moonshine shack, only more items like the penthouse in GTA:O), and as somewhere we can spawn into at the start of our sessions like camp and our horse (or last used for those with many) hitched just outside.

The only update that was truly massive was frontier pursuits. How R* considers their updates idk, it could just be pr speak, I hope not though.

rockstar have said for the winter update we will get a new location people have said it will be a current location like the mile high club lets dismiss this straight away . in 7 years of online rocktar have never said a new building is a new location that was a first obvious wording . even yan has basically said its a new map so lets put that to bed. we know rockstar are making gta online standalone next year which always meant one thing map expansions my guess lc then vc down the line when six comes out . but any good company might give there customer base a sample of the overall product so get them to buy the product. my theory is rockstar who have been working on the lc map expansion since 2014 will add it to current gen as the final update for the game with the heist story wrapped around it . lc will have the basics only purchasable property the one for the heist setup like the arcade an apartment or something like that with a garage and nothing else expect free roam. current gen can handle a map expansion but future updates which rockstar have already said is coming are only for nexr gen online and lc can be expanded over time . probably another lobby to get around sync issues start of the menu you have the option to load to lc same as current online sp and the current discounts for the week. ls goes and lc loads up same as a adversary mode its a different map expect on a larger scale. give current players a taste of the new online to get them to buy next gen for the new online. sony has a deal with rockstar for the next online so it would have made more sense if this was only a heist to hold it off for ps5 tell players you are getting lc which will be updated over time its a selling point to get people to buy a ps5 which is out around the same time as this update .
