You can find Desert Sage on the Western side of Tumbleweed. For Loons I like to use the island on the Eastern side of Flat Iron Lake (where you can also find Iguanas and Crabs). I'll probably start the first Moonshiner story mission and then just ride over to the island to ensure that animals actually spawn.

This is a genuine comment from someone on a Youtube video, when asked what makes the game boring: "WEEE FUC*ING NEED TO SEE PLAYERS ON MAP!! Fuc* whoever bitc’ing about that bullsh*t the named it ( griefing ) fuc” everyone saying they are anti greifing and they greifers worst nightmare and all that bs the beauty of this game and the real fun is when you get jumped by players and they kill you while doing missions or whatever you are doing it makes it more challenging and enjoyable. Fuking hell if ya’ll mothuafukers wants to fish and do missions successfully. Fuking go play story mode you putass i miss so much the beta days when we used to get weekly new clothing, we see each other on map, getting jumped while doing stranger missions, especially that one when you have to deliver bags, and all players were trash talking on chat game. You can see that every red dead online YouTuber who has views, all his videos were about fighting and jumping players on free roam, people watch it because it’s the fun thing about this game. All we need is clothing every week, see each other on map. And i’m cool with that than can take as long as they want to drop a new stupid role" People like this moron are exactly why we need private lobbies. I also hope we get 20 new roles just to wind cunts like this one up. F ucking braindead idiots.

This is because they've screwed this game up and don't patch things weekly, and because they were so stupid to choose for the p2p setup instead of dedicated servers. It could be a serious money making PVE game if they separate pvp and pve in the same way the game Destiny does. I'm convinced many players would invest in the game and in gold bars way more. But they got some d*ckhead in charge who thinks he knows everything better.

Definitely agree, yea. The idea of the Roles is fantastic and look, they aint truly bad, I've had a good mount of fun with them when they're working (animals/BH in particular) but with more effort/creativity/ambition, whatever, they could be the foundation of Red Dead Online for years to come but all they are right now is some very small islands of content that doesn't really anything to do once you've seen it all. It's not like they really interact with each other outside of loot too and only really Collector does that. Moonshiner and Trader could fvery easily interact in multiple ways, combining loads, using the Trader wagons for bigger loads, anything like that. Do also agree that Rockstar's insistence on making us a lackey even if we technically "own" whatever we're running is really just the wrong move. For Trader part of the progression should be learning how to handle bigger and more valuable pelts and doing that stuff ourselves, part of Moonshiner should be being involved in the brewing process and deeply involved in the rivalry aspects beyond "they're being a problem, go kill them". Skyrim quite famously got described as being as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle and while GTAO and especially RDO are no where near as wide as Skyrim, they are even shallower. There's no meat to the gravy in either game and the primary fun to be had in the world is in the roleplay aspects of the roles, which Rockstar seems to be leaning on players enjoying more than the content its self.

    Vapid GB200 Appreciation Thread

The year is 1986. You're in your car listening to the newest Love Fist album as the harsh fluorescent neon lights of malls and storefronts begin to fade in your rearview mirror. Another week has finally come to a close and you can blow off some steam by watching this weekend's pro rally races. Famous drivers from every corner of the map were pushing their cars to the limit through dusty trails and mountain passes. But when you turn on your television, you're greeted with something else: news that Group B rallying has been abolished. One too many legends had lost their lives pursuing glory, and far too many spectators were taken with them. Ultimately, no one should've been surprised that fitting supercars with some off road tires and kicking them out the door was probably going to produce a national tragedy here and there–especially when some cones and hay bales were usually all that stopped crowds from being trampled by turbocharged metal steeds. Skrrt skrrt skeet skeet honk honk: Not every loss caused by Group B's demise was human, and you needn't look any further than Vapid's GB200 for proof. Development began in 1983, utilizing a modified version of the Retinue MKIII's platform and a power plant specially fabricated by Vapid's racing division. Unknowingly, Vapid had produced a death machine in their new small-block, turbocharged V6. Horsepower figures range from as low as 350 to as high as 850 depending on the model you come across, but you could always be certain of one thing: it was more than enough to get this tiny fiberglass body from point A to point B faster than you can open up a map. That is, if you got a late model anyway. The GB200 started off with a laughable power-to-weight ratio and had little time to be improved before it wound up with a criminal record, claiming the lives of several spectators and two of Vapid's most esteemed rally team members. Immediately following this, among a myriad of other accidents, rally drivers belonging to nearly every manufacturer decided to hang their hats in protest of this new class of vehicles as well as the lack of safety precautions in their races. Living it up with the other legends: In order to participate in races, manufacturers were required to manufacture at least 200 kits and one road-legal version of their rally car. Seeing as to how Vapid no longer had a horse in the race, nor did they have a race at all, they were now faced with 200 unfinished GB200s. Moreover, Vapid's racing division had been planning an evolution variant of the car, and many resources were dedicated to the improvement of their now obsolete car. So like any good mega-corporation, they did the bare minimum to make them road legal, and then happily sold them to the general public. It may have been a European endeavor to begin with, but there's nothing quite as American as selling your mistakes at a premium. Later on, Vapid would modify a few of the remaining models with their special evolution package. Shhh... So with a car this rare, how does one go about getting their hands on their very own GB200? Kit cars can be purchased on Legendary Motorsport's website for just under a million dollars. Not exactly a deal if you ask me. Don't tell anyone I said this, but in my case, some friends at Walker Logistics owed me a favor and decided they didn't have the time to pay me back. So, being the understanding man that I am, I decided I'd do the work for them. It just so happened that some exotic cars were coming into port and were right about to fall into the hands of my business associates. So I decided I'd go on an expense-free joyride in this beautiful 1986 GB200, courtesy of Walker Logistics. The experience was so enjoyable that I was happy to take it off their hands free of charge. A king that never was: Since then, I've found myself attending rally/rallycross events, car meets and traditional races with my lovely new companion, and it never stops turning heads. Hell, it hasn't stopped turning mine either. The GB200 has a certain hegemonic presence which commands you when you're behind its wheel. Darting around corners and sprinting up hills, you're a passenger and your car is the driver. That's not to say it's uncontrollable–it's quite the opposite. You'll come out of corners as straight and true as an arrow if you're not being stupid. The steering is responsive to a tee, though fishtailing is still an unfortunate reality if you push the car's limits to an unreasonable degree. Making childhood dreams come true: Not only does the GB200 fly in terms of performance, it also just flies. I've made some tweaks to the suspension corresponding with the events I'll be participating in, but I didn't expect a tiny fiberglass body to shrug off several-foot drops. If only it could've done that with high-speed crashes. Off road performance is even more impressive, as the car never loses its footing and always seems to look forward. Dirt, mud and gravel be damned, you're going to finish your race. I'm always happy to see a Dominator or an Imperator at classic car meets, but a certain part of me wishes for an alternate future where the GB200 wasn't buried by its unfortunate past. There may be a universe, somewhere far outside the boundaries of the vast cosmos we call our own, where another tiny little planet called Earth saw a successful GB200. Maybe that planet never saw the end of Group B rallying, and maybe that planet's races are even safer than ours. But I like this one. If I wanted clout, I'd buy a Pegassi. If I wanted a racing pedigree no more interesting than a desk job, I'd buy a Pfister. What I have instead is closure. The GB200 is a torch that should never be extinguished; an insight into past that shouldn't be forgotten. It wasn't long ago that motorsport was a vast frontier with much left to be explored by daring drivers and cunning crews. The stakes were high and the dangers were far too real, whether you were a spectator or driver. Automakers certainly shouldn't retrace their steps right back into another tragedy, but sometimes it's nice to reminisce. After all, it wasn't but a century ago that we saw the Wild West of motorsports, and 35 years since we watched it ride off into the sunset. See you later, cowboy:

I think Rockstar was on the right track with the role progression, but missed the mark in execution. IMO roles should be more hands on instead of having someone else do all the work. For example, for the trader role we should be able to learn how to turn carcasses into sellable goods and work alongside Cripps. As we progress in the role we learn more skills and in turn our goods are higher quality. It would give the incentive to play the game and actually make use of the time spent in the game. Instead, the game does everything for us and leaves us with the grunt work. Rockstar was so afraid of having us progress through the game too quickly that they left us with no progression at all.

Popped over to SP to check out the photo mode on Xbox One X and got sucked in to the world. The weather, the light, the animals, the character interactions, the random activities, the crowds in St Denis, the sounds, the music -- there's so much more life in SP than in RDO, and it looks far far better - the rendering is clearly different and way more detailed. *Everything* in RDO pales in comparison, including the "interactions" with other players which is either just a pass-on-by or ends in a gunfight.

I don't know what they can do to "fix" Red Dead Online tbh. Rockstar have a glaring problem which is that they don't know how to create a grind. I know that's a word people are often scared of but there's absolutely nothing wrong with a good grind, constantly working your way towards something and eventually getting that something is hella rewarding and enjoyable, it's what every online progression game is built on, well, every good one. The problem with Rockstar though is they simply do not know how to make that for their games. Their in-game goals are almost all materialistic, I want this car, I want this horse, I want those clothes, etc. They do have some meaningful progression in there but it's not much. Looking back at the game since launch and all the updates since, if you're an active day 1 player, Red Dead Online has never had more than a weeks worth of content ever. Pre-Frontier Pursuits update major content updates didn't even have that and you could even lump Moonshiners in with that too. Every single update they've added has been so light on progression and depth that it can be done in a week even by a casual player. More committed players can virtually "complete" an update in two or three days. You could say that these people are consuming the content too fast and I wouldn't even be shocked if this is the mentality Rockstar have, but it's a pretty garbage reason to be frank. Saying this, I do think RDO and GTAO are tough games to do progression with as in most games progression is basically power. You progress through the game to get more powerful, it's the most popular form of progression in video games, but in GTAO and RDO that doesn't really work - even if RDO does have a weak version of it with ability cards. But that doesn't really mean the only alternative has to be, for the most part, cosmetics. That can work and has been done before but only in games with a deep amount of content, MMORPG's, with hundreds of hours of playable content, as in you can play hundreds of hours without replaying the same content twice. But in a game where you're doing the exact same things over and over? Well, that's what I talked about in another post somewhere about RDO and GTAO not having an interesting enough gameplay loop to warrant the games current form of progression. I'd love for them to come out in 2 months or so with a whopping great big overhaul that adds new things and deepens what we already have but the reality is we'll probably get two or three new roles with the same level as depth as the others which active players will consume in a week and then go back to logging in only for the daily challenges because of what I can only assume at this point is some new form of Stockholm Syndrome. This gif can basically sum up my feelings for the games future I think.

  25. No fixes, no new content, no communication, no restocking of former limited stock items, just a few new player bonuses is killing for a game. And that virtual middle finger we get as longtime players, it's just not funny anymore. Where is the appreciation for the gamers who carried the game to what it is now? ....... Come to think of it, we didn't. We tried, but the big pile of sh*t it is now is all Rockstar's doing. Still 8 weeks to go till the current OP expires and perhaps 10 before a new one is launched and very few dripfeed items left. I'm really curious to what Rockstar is thinking here.

RDO Next Updates Speculation & General Chat (Part I)

RDO and GTAO are touching the Sims area of games a lot more than RPG games. Progression isn't there, other than ranks and limited unlocks for ranking. It all stops past rank 100, which most players can reach quite fast since FP. From then, you have 2 things to really grind for, money and gold. Useless money and gold when you've reached a good stash of both, enough to buy yourself into the next 2-3 updates and still keep a comfortable stash in your banks. Grind wise, the only incentive to log in is that daily streak for either the gold bars or the number. All empty grinds, gaining your character nothing but some funds, which you can use on, yup, nothing really worth it. Nothing that progresses your character in any way, with the one exclusion of EE+. No other stats get an upgrade. There are no skills to upgrade, no professions of meaning, no stats on items to work for, nothing. Just waiting for the next cosmetic item, another 20 role ranks for role specific cosmetic items, money and gold (again), but no character building is present. I was hyped when Rockstar said it was moving this game far more into the RPG area, but heavily disappointed with the execution of it. Sure, I can find things to do in the game, but those have nothing to do with the game's content itself. If this game would have been marketed as an MMORPG, it would have died and taken offline months ago already. A lack of decent content, an abundance of technical issues, a great lack of progression and a non communicating company describes the game and doesn't bode well for the future of it. This is as good as it gets, I'm afraid.

It's a f*cking joke the only good event week this turkey's had is the double gold daily objectives Now they think ignoring the older players and making "Bonus -not even double!- XP activities" and "Free Role XP" is good enough. Um..... those 3 month old roles? Apart from Bounty Hunter, everyone who cared maxed those by now. lmao Bounty Hunter is just a bitch to level up unless you farmed some of the easy legendary bounties I'd happily settle for a double moonshiner $$$$ or story mission/stranger.... but bonus XP? Bitch please, XP is meaningless. Unless you're new or just starting to farm for the Outlaw Pass now.... but even still 50% is a f*cking joke. Don't even give them the pleasure, I just log in, do a thing, and log off. GTA has sh*t event weeks too but at least they actually have GOOD ones every 2-3 weeks!

  36. It feels like they expect us Xbox players to celebrate that we got the bonuses they already gave the players on every other platform, when in truth some of us are rather bitter by it and could actually care less for it now. It was a wasted update, not something to be excited about. We should have had those story mode options when everyone else got it. So many of us lowly Xbox players stuck with the mess that was the beta for online, even when PS4 kept getting all the free stuff that we had to end up paying for, that darn waste of $250 dollars bay arabian comes to mind, And yet we keep getting the low end of the stick and it's frustrating. I do hope this is the last of their handing things out to the "preferred" platforms. Now this update could have better been utilized for all platforms, new stranger missions, new story mode DLC's, private servers, heck anything else than giving away something they had already given away. It's not like we aren't a vocal group of players, they just don't want to listen to us maybe? I am so sorry for ranting you guys, but this just really grinds my gears!

Vehicles Elimination Game: Diamond Casino edition

The only thing that bugs me about the Drafter is its front end. It's like a weird mash of Audi TT and Australian market Ford Falcon. Drives alright and the back end is nice though.

    1. Enus Paragon R (Armored) - 14 2. Obey 8F Drafter - 27 3. Ocelot Jugular - 27 4. Bravado Gauntlet Classic - 38 (-1) 5. Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire - 36 (-1) 6. Übermacht Zion Classic - 25 (+1) Rusty ZIon Classic is fun and there's a strong @Coleco vibe in that. The thing is, at this moment the only car I tolerate here apart from Paragon is the Drafter, because I find the handling as the most appropriate to the game engine. It's not like I don't like RWD cars, I've just closed Dirt Rally 2 after enjoying sweet Lancia 037 on the gravel of Greece. In GTA, however, RWD cars are just not interesting enough. With a properly implemented physic model you can powerslide with any RWD car with enough torque and skill, but in GTA it's just awful.

What Should You Do If You Have Attracted The Attention Of A Griefer?

A more fun idea: Ignore them until they go do something else. Steal police car and place two or three stickys on it. go off radar Drive normally to blend in and pull up next to them. BOOM! CAR BOMB.

Next DLC Speculation Topic Mk VIII

I think what they did to the off-road wheels is a possible sign we may get better car customization for all cars in general. POSSIBLY.

    The Worst Of Rockstar Logic

I'm more impressed over how our characters can jog around with all that gold in their duffel bag. Heck, I'm surprised they don't get insta-wasted by getting crushed under the weight.
