A few Quiet Moments

If GTA 6 ends up on the current gen then several things would end up downgraded from Red Dead Redemption 2 as the current consoles already were barely able to run it and it’s just a wilderness and Western environment, a city environment would require way more processing power. I’m sure it could still be impressive for years even as a current gen game like GTA 5 is but it would be nice if Rockstar would go all-out and make it a full-blown next-gen game.

The wait continues

Gathering measurements of the main map, I think i've finally worked out the total size of the RDR2 map's "playable area". Please correct me if something doesn't seem right. Obviously i didnt deduct the small overlap in the middle (probably closer to 52km² if I did deduct it), but it's a general estimation of the size so you can compare it to other games. And although it's in the game, I didn't include Nuevo Paraiso, so that would certainly have doubled that bottom square size.

What's better is that it's not available in missions...

@ALifeOfMisery If I appear from nowhere with a double barrel pointed at your face the last thing you are gonna do is tell all your men to open fire on me. I would have liked the ability to command people I have my gun aimed at, like holding aim and pressing X would have a chance of making them surrender and when surrendered a second press would have them get down on the ground. Also a "Terrifying Presence" Perk, the more people you take on a Bounty Hunt the higher the chance of surrender. Like if you took a full Posse you would have a chance of having the entire Gang surrender and you can just walk the Bounty out with any bloodshed. Actually I would call it "The Power of Posse" in typical R* crude humour. "Only one thing has the power to make groups of men surrender unconditionally. The bigger your Posse the higher the chance of surrender"

Mrw Rockstar removed the Peyote plants

Man I sure do love how I spend the money on a gun locker, and all these little trash weapons find their way back into my weapon wheel.

Don't you just hate that? When Rockstar drip feeds a car every week for months and months, but just as we're expecting the final car from the drip feed, Rockstar does a double-finger salute and says "ha-ha, not this week, boys and girls", as though the Peyote Gasser is going to be anything special anyway (we know it isn't). So, the dripfeed crawls on until Christmas... Rockstar are experts at making us wait for next to nothing, and the real problem is we all know months in advance exactly what's coming. I might try out this stunt out with my kids and tell them what they're getting for Christmas so that they'll be totally bored sh*tless when the presents finally arrive. Enough bitching... Not sure what happened to Rockstar today? The slowest weekly event announcement ever? We got some creator modes for games that third parties will never play, although fiddling around with the Survival mode mechanics could be fun for a while. And like @kenmy13999says above: Bunker sales on 2X payout is always good, and the Stromberg is an excellent way of retaliating against Oppressor Mk IIs because it can take more than one hit (whereas they can't).

Still it's a f*cking shovel, my horse trips over 3 a day that would move dirt as easily. No need to respond, I understand the game mechanics it just floors me that I have to spend $400 for a f*cking shovel, In 1898. A f*cking $20 in 2019 dollars, shovel. Keep in mind you could buy a CAR for $1000 in 1898, so in R* logic a f*cking SHOVEL is 40% of the cost of a f*cking AUTOMOBILE. Or equivalent of the cost of my Klaudhopper but probably didn't crash as often.

60 fps is goddamn selling point for this version of the game, yet one the most fundamental gameplay mechanics doesn't behave properly at that frame rate how did that passed through QA

Just saw this too. What the f*ck haha. Regardless is this gets fixed or not I cannot wait for a mod that pauses weight loss/gain so I don’t have to maintain that sh*t. Cores are easy, but weight was always a mystery.

I still haven’t unlocked EE+ because of how much I dislike the BH role. Worse yet, I haven’t even reached rank 3 in that role and it will probably never happen either. The incentive to get EE+ just isn’t big enough to swallow the grind pill for this, imo, badly executed role. And an eye patch as a rank 20 unlock...., I think not. If any ability/perk unlock could be gained, do it by character level unlock. Trinkets and so could be an option too, but please not by cards. If Rockstar really is intended to make this game a more RPG like experience, they’re doing a shabby job at it.

I would add Talismans to the "Belt Trinkets" section and have you able to have ONE equipped at a time and they add different bonuses like a chance of collecting double plants etc. Gun spinning is a sh*t reward, it should have been in the Outlaw Pass. I would rather have gotten "Perks" like firing a warning shot in the air when undetected has a chance of making enemies surrender or aiming at a Bounty and firing a shot in the air has a chance of making them stop fleeing.

Maybe a round of classics. Ten winners from past games. Whatever comes next, it will be worth waiting for. Amy, your efforts are tireless in this game and take all the time you need for the next challenge.

Hopefully they'll be back and it was just some mistake, but they were removed with the Halloween content. So if it's just for Halloween then we have a year to go before they come back

game looks worse..and ground does too..its downgraded with this patch

Yay, with survival creator I was finally able to create myself solo-playable job that can give me any type of ammo (including pipebombs) for free. Just so it's not some generic bland half-assed job, I went with the theme of defending yourself from FIB agents trying to violate you with flashlights.

It doesn't affect, as there isn't a temperature during legendary bounties, or well it never tells me the temp so I presume there isn't one. Furthermore, While doing the first Legendary Bounty, I once had my full winter gear on, (which features my bison duster coat) and out in the desert, I didn't lose a bit of health. And the same happened when I wore very little clothing, while out in cold weather during a legendary bounty. (Unless you've already found out) - Man I need R* editor asap

and those who do use it like to think their the tough sh*ts and your just the pathetic one for not being like them. Some clarification: The total number of weapons will be increased to around 400 and the stats of all custom weapons may be revised, and custom audio may be thrown in too.

Mental. They've really screwed this up. Hopefully mods can sort out the weight thing soon anyway as @cp1dell said. The system never worked all that well on consoles either.

I think a shovel back in the day was about $0.50 or something. A weeks wages for a male construction worker was around $32 for 5 days labour. We're having GTAO fares already. Some time ago I bought a new hat, resembling the Kennedy hat in the game. Mine was $3 cheaper than the one in game.

Is there a thread where people are posting their survivals? I'll probably browse R*'s own website, but I feel like I'll get some next-level stuff here, and I have my own I'd like to contribute.

Creator is great for those keen, hopefully we see some good sh*t come of it. Bunker's always useful too, but I don't need that pap. Discounts, as usual, pretty meaningless to me. But...
