Rockstar updated the background script yesterday with fixes to the Survival Creator. They removed the restrictions that prevented modders from having early access to the Survival Creator and King of the Hill Creator. All of this suggest we are very likely to get the Survival Creator tomorrow. They also added the Flash GT to the Casino Podium List. Keep in mind, there's a function in the background script that solve the insurance bug with the casino podium vehicle, both S80RR and Flash GT aren't part of this function. I tweeted the order of the upcoming podium vehicles, but I could be totally wrong, tomorrow's podium vehicle is supposed to be the Stromberg, but it could be anything. Rockstar may scrap the order and release the Flash GT or S80RR, but since both of them aren't part of the insurance fix function, anyone who win them will experience the insurance loss bug, that's why I didn't mention them, of course Rockstar can update the script anytime and make them part of the insurance fix function. Or maybe Rockstar didn't include them because a new update would have been released by the time we get to spin the wheel to win either Flash GT or S80RR. If this is the case, we might get the new update on December 3rd or December 5th.18 points -

I won my fifth car on the Lucky Wheel last night (the Vysser Neo), so with that thought in mind, time to end this game. Poker is pretty good, but the Lucky Wheel cuts the mustard (even with its nine RP and clothing possibilities). Poker - 0 1. Lucky Wheel - 25 Thanks to Amy and to everyone for taking part.9 points -

Random post: Imagine you're driving a classic car in first person, as you're changing gears, you can actually see your player changing gears also. suddenly, you hear sirens and see a cop car in your rear view mirror behind you (because they actually work). the officer is asking you to pull over. You decide to pull over, so you dont get a 2 star wanted level. a cutscene appears and you get fined for going 150 mph (because the speed is not limited to 130). playing Red Dead Redemption II and seeing all the animations, makes me excited for what small details the next GTA can have in the near future. Maybe windscreen wipers turning on when it begins to rain, or maybe an Odometer to show miles driven for each vehicle Thank you for reading my random post.9 points -

Of course it's on Nvidia... Yesterday's driver already brought small improvements, wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the issues were caused by bad NVIDIA drivers on older CPU's (CPU overhead). Think I've noticed a pattern: NVIDIA + modern CPU = smooth gameplay (with smooth I mean no stuttering, just regular frame drops due to GPU power) NVIDIA + older CPU = stuttering and freezing AMD = smoother gameplay overall on all CPU's7 points -

Benefactor Glendale Appreciation Thead
Non Funkable Token and 6 others reacted to —TheSquid— for a topic
The Benefactor brand was everything America secretly dreamt of from the late 40's to the early 70's. While Albany's lineup was luxurious, for example, it was always staring up at Benefactor. If an Imponte or a Bravado represented youth, gusto and aggression, then Benefactor was the quiet and refined converse to its brash western competitors. And with such a reputation preceding itself, Benefactor needed a charming face to spearhead its operations; that face was none other than the Glendale. From 1968 to 1976, the Glendale sat at the helm of German luxury—and Benefactor knew it. The Glendale platform was milked dry, fitted with a plethora of engines (some diesel, some gas), automatic and manual transmissions, convertible options and it was even presented as a coupe. So what made it stick? A 1971 Glendale ad: Well, the Glendale had character—a quality many cars of its era lacked. It was the car for the type of man who tips a waitress generously after slapping her ass. The car for a man who does his work in an office behind cigar smoke and closed blinds, sometimes interrupted by a flirty secretary that really just wants a raise. Additionally, the Glendale had the efficiency it needed to survive the first of many impending oil crises. Consumers didn't purchase a Glendale to go fast, so its relatively small-displacement engines and tall gearing didn't stop it from being a hit. The most important feature, however, came standard with every Benefactor and was plastered right on the front fascia: a big fat Benefactor diamond. The brand's status as a prestigious yet reliable automaker pushed units quicker than any slimy car salesman could dream of. A picture of my great grandfather's own Glendale: Growing up, my father always told me "Nothing's more fun to go fast in than something that shouldn't go fast." When we did burnouts in the back of a Burgershot in his old Stanier or sped down country roads in his Youga, that sentiment truly cemented itself in my mind. With rear gearing around 369, a horsepower rating just north of 100 and about 150 lb-ft of torque on a good day, you certainly aren't supposed to be going fast in a standard Glendale, anyway. This alone began to make my mouth water; the proposition of a slow, smooth driving sedan made with resilient parts and enough room to tinker. Strangely, Benefactor's American division offered a diesel-powered V8 in place of their European I4 and I6 counterparts. This would only last from 1970 to 1973, when emissions regulations forced the company to divert its attention to perfecting smaller displacement engines. Naturally, I gravitated towards this model due to the sheer strangeness of it. Right before Helmut's went under, I got a great deal! During the twilight years of Helmut's Paleto Bay store, I happened to stumble upon just what I was looking for. It's a damn shame what happened—what with the whole operation being run out of town by a bunch of crazed jingoistic nut jobs. During their liquidation sale, the man himself struck me with an offer I couldn't refuse and just like that, I set off with a mint set of new wheels. Surprisingly, the V8 diesel Glendale holds up to modern standards, be it for a run to the grocery store or a long drive down the highway. Of course, that's precisely what it took to get the thing home. Unlike my Stanier, Emperor and other sedans and saloons, I decided to keep my Glendale completely barebones save for airbags and some other safety tidbits. It's my own little time capsule to a bygone era. These days she still comes out to stretch her legs pretty often. My old Glendale has more than enough trunk space, room for passengers and room to mount a roof rack. Don't be afraid to buy one of these if you're looking for a family car. I ferried mine to the mainland for a road trip and passed through some hokey European village tourist traps. Close enough to home, right? A Glendale in its natural habitat: As it stands, the Glendale sits safely on the list of some of my most beloved vehicles to enter my possession. It's an important piece of history, being both a rival and predecessor to my beloved Emperor and Stanier respectively. Whether you're looking to forgo the digital bells and whistles of a Schafter, or perhaps just looking for the old-world charm of a Stirling in a more practical package, the Glendale delivers it all. It's truly a driving experience no one should turn down. I'm a true believer that nothing should stay the same—cars especially. However, I also believe there's no harm in looking back once in a while. Hopefully sooner or later, some more folks around Los Santos can share that sentiment with me. Maybe one day we'll see some more old and forgotten motors on the road. Maybe...7 points -

GTA VI should be playable without the minimap
Ehrmantraut and 5 others reacted to Algonquin Assassin for a topic
Isn't this kind of pointless since there's already an option to turn off the minimap? I've tried it before and I get how it creates a sense of immersion, but truthfully I think it would wear thin on me if I didn't have a minimap to refer to 100% of the time since I still like the sense of comfort I get when I can peer off for a few seconds if I'm not sure about something. It isn't just for exploring or being able to get around, but even just be able to see where enemies are on the minimap. I don't care about "Getting Gud" when playing a GTA game. If it's not broken, don't fix it. Like I said there's already an option to turn it off so I don't see the point of forcing a convention down everyones' throat that may not want it in the first place.6 points -

Yeah. Life’s been hard stuck in my parents basement. It all started back in 1983. The year of my birth. I had high hopes that one day I would become the first man to set foot on the moon! Sadly that opportunity was taken from me. So I settled for simply trying to get by and living a respectable life. You know. Grow up. Get a job. Get married. Pop out a couple kids. That whole idea. But unfortunately for me the day came when grand theft auto was released. I became obsessed with it. It consumed my life. And then the forums where I could find like minded folk whose life had also been ruined by this heinous past time. I was then fired from my job at the Canadian parliament building. I was in charge of the premieres public relations. Sadly I was too busy on the forums to actually do my job. Anyways. I digress.... #postedfromthetoilet6 points -

Isn't the point of a GTA focused forum to discuss GTA relatee things though? Not only that, people here are very passionate about the game, hence why they may come up sometimes with long, weird and outright nonsensical ideas, but that's part of the fun. Like, as long as it's not bad sh*tposting or something said in bad faith, anything is fair game here. Also, no one here beats @Lonely-Martin when long ass paragraphs are involved, I tell you hwat.5 points
