ScriptHookRDR2

SCRIPT HOOK RDR 2 Note: Script hook uses address autosearch, which means it will work with game versions which are not mentioned here until the game update with changes to the script system. Description: Script hook is the library that allows to use RDR 2 script native functions in custom *.asi plugins. Multiplayer: Script hook closes the game when player goes Online, this is done because the game reports installed mods list to R* while being in Online mode. Installation: 1. Copy ScriptHookRDR2.dll to the game's main folder, i.e. where RDR2.exe is located. 2. In order to load asi plugins you need to have asi loader installed, you can use the latest version that comes with this distrib (dinput8.dll). 3. This distrib also includes a sample asi plugin - native trainer, if you need a trainer then copy NativeTrainer.asi as well. Supported game versions: 1.0.1207.58, 1.0.1207.60, 1.0.1207.69, 1.0.1207.73 DOWNLOAD NATIVE TRAINER16 points -

I wish that R* wasn't so lazy and retroactively updated some of the old Businesses to current standards. Make them all inmune to lock-ons, make them all stealable, put that red radar thingy on the right of the map for all sourcing/resupply/sale missions, make all missions last the same (20-30 mins), add more random vehicles to the cargo/resupply vehicle pool, etcétera. Maybe go the extra mile and revamp them while we're at it. Make the Hangar work more like the Cargo Warehouses, let us resupply our MC Businesses as an Organization and let us sell our crates as an MC, make I/E less profitable and Airfreight Cargo and Counterfeit Documents more profitable so all Businesses can be viable, let us bring Business Battle cargo to their respective businesses and add more Business Battle scenarios and vehicles too while we're at it, I dunno. Make the game more consistent and uniform instead of being a bunch of systems that have nothing in common despite working more or less the same.11 points -

Griefers have been terrorizing players in towns a lot lately. Then again it is the weekend. The silly punks run up and punch your horse over and over trying to get you to shoot first. They tend to get impatient and shoot, but defensive mode helps, and they're usually easily dispatched-- except the ones that hop about like bunnies, they need an extra shot or two unless they're up close. It's annoying though when you're doing something and really don't wanna be bothered.10 points -

RDR2 SCRIPT/NATIVE RESEARCH
JustDancePC and 8 others reacted to Alexander Blade for a topic
RDR2 SCRIPT/NATIVE RESEARCH After looking into RDR2 I can say it's a lot like the companion app when it comes to the script engine, while the PC version introduces changes aimed to make the game less moddable in general, who would've guessed, right ? (1) There are no names in rtti. (2) Lots of pointers (like pools) in the game are dynamically encrypted on write and decrypted on read. (3) Comparing to the companion scripts have opcodes in random order, highly likely this thing is going to change almost every major patch, just like natives in GTAV. Meanwhile! (1) (completed!) Lots of natives in RDR2 can be matched to GTAV ones. (2) (completed!) Name native namespaces. I spent two days doing this. (3) (completed!) Generate natives.h. (4) (completed!) Port the hook. (5) (completed!) Unshuffle opcode table. (6) (completed!) YSC -> C, the game has few new patterns for high level, like 3d arrays. (7) (completed!) Write basic version of NativeTrainer. (8) (completed!) Release the hook. (9) (completed!) Release new SDK. (10) Native DB.9 points -

Whilst the game does look good and all, this kind of attitude isn't needed, the whole ass kissing and insulting anyone who has had issues with the launcher or the game and saying they have bad rigs doesn't exactly help. Yes a lot of people are trying to set the game higher than they should but there's still some Rockstar jank here and there which really could be ironed out, personally for me I'd love to see HDR actually get fixed, there's plenty of other games on PC which do it right but Rockstar had issues with HDR on consoles and those same issues persist on PC.8 points -

Yes this is a pain on the weekends. Not only that but defensive mode is absolute garbage now that R* has loaded everyone up with dynamite arrows and explosive ammo. I spawned in and got one-shot killed immediately near Valentine. TWICE. Then the ASSWIPE goes blue immediately on respawn. F*CK YOU ROCKSTAR YOU SH8THEADS. This just f*cking pisses me off. Sorry for the bad words. Have to add that camp spawns are effed once again. Hey R* morons, news flash: your servers can't handle 22 players. Dipsh*ts.8 points -

Patched the SA-MP code on the server which returns a weapon name by its ID. It is used by the GetWeaponName native, so now you can obtain the name of all UG weapons through said native. Patched the SA-MP death reasoning code so deaths caused by UG weapons are considered as a valid reason for a player to die from. Some code was added so the server sends a chat message whenever a player dies, with the cause of death in it as well. Also added synchronization for the laser dot corona. This means the red dot will show up for other players while you are using one of the laser rifles in the mod.6 points -

Jesus tapdancing christ, i bought RDR2/RDO for PC thinking it would be a fun few weeks with my GTA:O buddy's enjoying a cheater free environment with a bit slower paced game, but the cheating started 2 days after launch (or at least thats when i started spotting the first scumbags) and now 2 weeks after launch 95% of players has godmode, can run sideways full speed while staying locked on to your head & god knows what else?? R* devs had 6 god damn years to learn from GTA:O, but did they? nope, of course they didnt learn jack f*ck, a quick google search just gives you ready made scripts to throw at cheat engine and there you go, godmode, infinite health ammo funds etc for the online mode. So its even less secure then GTA:O... for F*CKS sake. And then to make it even worse, because who doesnt love built in cheats, they expanded on the whole BS that was in GTA:O where you can join free aim lobbys using the built-in aimbot (that for GTA:O i always assumed was a bug, but i guess its a feature?!?!) because now you can even 'improve' the aimbot (change how far it goes to auto lock-on) and if that wasnt cancerous enough oh hey heres some f*cked up cards you can buy so you heal when you do damage, cant die from a headshot, etc, but obviously you can only get these if you're a high level, or willing to spend real world money, because you know, R* really needs that money to make it to the end of the month?... Not to even begin mentioning the few dozen bugs i've already seen, didnt this game launch a year ago for console? what the hell have they been doing since that release?! And to top it all off every day since release the connections issues grow, idk maybe im just a moron but wouldn't it make sense to expand your serverpark as you get more players? not downscale it 'because we are over the initial hump'? Oh and surely i would love to constantly be put in the same freemode session with the same griefers/cheaters every single day yes? F*CKING LOVELY GUYS, THANKS. Seriously im starting to wonder if R* are a big advocate of employing 'simple' people? or what is going on here? They learned nothing, are making the same mistakes as they did with GTA:O launch, and overal pvp in RDO just makes me wanna stab people, several dozen times. Honestly this might be the last R* game i buy. ---------- Finally, somewhat separate from the above (which is bscly just all hate towards R* for not doing their job) when did people stop reading even the most basic descriptions of jobs? This game has some actually fun freemode events, but every single one of them is ruined by 90% of the players thinking its just a deathmatch, STOP SHOOTING RANDOM PEOPLE, FOCUS ON THE TASK YOU'RE GIVEN YOU F*CKING MORONS, MY GOD.6 points -

There is no official Rockstar forum. We're the longest-standing (2001) fan forum for Rockstar Games, and as such it's possible they do read it, but we're by no means official. I'm 101% sure they know of all the issues reported here and elsewhere though.5 points -

Bounty hunting, on the Dakota river. The fugitive, was heavily guarded at a camp on the river bank. Found some cover; the plan was to snipe, the camp guards and wait for the bounty to "rabbit". Heard a chorus of wolves howling and then... mayhem. Had to snipe, the wolves, to protect the bounty. Seeing wolves, maul the "cowboy sh*t" out of some outlaws, through a scope. Is why, I play this game. Incredible detail.5 points -

GTA VCS 10th anniversary for Android?
Bob Loblaw_ and 3 others reacted to Ash_735 for a topic
This keeps getting brought up but it's false, Phil Collins was happy to be in GTA and kept a good relationship with Rockstar for years after when it came to licensing Phil Collins & Genesis songs. IF music was one of the main reasons it'd be the majority of songs on stations like WAVE 103 which had a LOT of famous tracks, but the most likely fact is, sales for GTA LCS and Bully were completely abysmal, like beyond terrible on both Android and iOS, the fire was gone, GTA3 and GTA SA were the best selling and GTA VC wasn't far behind but those later games just bombed, combine that with the port studios needing contact at Rockstar North which during that period would've also been difficult after most of the old time staff quit/left/moved on after the Leslie Benzies incident, it just wouldn't have been worth it for Rockstar.4 points
