When you pay $60 and you can't even launch the damn game, you have more than one reason to be upset, especially considering that they did nothing effective in two days and the game is also poorly optimized. The truth is that this horrible launch is ruining their reputation and rightfully so.13 points -
Grand Theft Auto 3D

Some lost insider stuff most likely. It has been verified quite easily by ourselves already, it uses the early name for Toni Cipriani (Tony Facile), Kenji's original name (Toshiro), unseen renders of characters that were not Photoshopped, Yakuzas ambushing the convoy in the intro as mentioned in other early previews. Everything fits with the other previews, this is as legit as it gets. @HackMan128 It has precious world building and story details AND most useful to us, unseen character models and buildings that we MUST recreate. On one hand this is amazing, on the other hand... Until these things get released (which could take a while because the guys want to make a video on it before showing them to the community) GTA3D might have to go into hiatus. We've decided to hault any new developments and polish what we made so far, meaning that we will release a V1.5 within THIS year. More work on animations, missions, radios and map bits is on HOLD because the new information might force us to change these elements again later. So a potential 1.5 version will include the things that we made so far this year such as beta radios, fixed cars, a few more vehicles, half of Saint Mark's, most of Trenton, brand new carcols, timecyc, new props, new cameras and controls, new HUD, the first 2 missions and some more stuff that I might have missed.12 points -

Having completed it twice I may seem a little biased but I don't understand how people can find it boring, I was hooked since the first cutscene right until the end. The game honestly does get better and better. Its like a TV show, start slow as to not overpower people and keep getting better until you get to the huge season ender.11 points -

[SA|REL] Things To Do In San Andreas: Overall Improvements
Do Quoc Hung and 8 others reacted to TheoTTG for a topic
So after more than a year, I've finally made a seperate forum post for this... Overall Improvements aims to revive the abandoned volume 2 by porting most of its features to a more stable form. (The leaked volume 2 was really unstable) Apart from adapting features from volume 2, new peds, new vehicles, bug fixes, more dialogue and more have been added. This release is based on Crspy's Fixed Volume 1, so it features all his additions as well. Some Features All vehicles cut by DeeZire are now restored. The ones he replaced them with are now seperate vehicles New cut vehicles have been re-added, the Bloodring Banger B and the FBI Car New clothes. For example the new GSF clothing after reaching 100% turf control Police helicopters are now controlled by actual police pilots, killing the pilot results in the heli crashing. New police officers and gang members have been added along with unused unique voice lines. (A LOT of voice lines were cut, Example: VOICE_EMG_ARMY1, 2 and 3) The cut drive to the cemetery in 'Big Smoke' has been restored. Along with some removed voice lines in 'Sweet & Kendl' The supporting character, Guppy, now has a unique skin Recreated 4 of the 10 hidden mobile exclusive cheats The cut vigilante variant, 'Vice Squad' for the Cheetah, has been restored Revamped DeeZire's AWOL Angel If you start Los Sepulcros with insufficient respect, now an otherwise inaccessable part of the mission will unlock. (I made some minor changes to this part) If you have previously started 'Are You Going To San Fierro?' and failed, you no longer have to pay another $25,000 to re-start the mission The Four Dragons casino will now be an asset after 'Fish In a Barrel' The help messages about being wasted and busted now don't take away player control anymore (it is now like Vice City) In 555 WE TIP, you now have to drive into the garage to plant the weed in the car (This is a recreation of a beta objective) Cesar and OG Loc now appear with their beta appearances in certain missions. You are now correctly able to reach 100% completion, instead of reaching it prematurely even if you haven't completed everything yet Changelogs Original Volume 1 Changelog OV Changelog Download Version 1.6.3 (1.6 release 06/11/2019, 1.6.3 repackage 01/04/2022) Savegame Pack 1 (LS Chapter - 07/11/2019) Savegame Pack 2 (Country Chapter - 04/12/2019) Savegame Pack 3 (Halfway SF Chapter - 09/01/2020) (Savegames from the unmodded game and previous ttdisa versions are incompatible) NOTE: Since this mod is still in development, compatibility between newer versions is not garanteed. --- Installation Instructions Credits Original Volume 1 Credits OV Credits Misc DISCORD (for suggestions, bug reports and previews) YOUTUBE (where I post my TTDISA OV videos) Note Unless stated otherwise, it is not allowed to reupload this mod anywhere. >Just give them time. They had ONE YEAR. Jesus christ. If that wasn't enough why didn't they delay the game? Don't suck Rockstar's balls just because they are great at making games. The PC Version when it works looks fantastic and it's beautiful, but it has issues that shouldn't be there. Specially since we've gone through an entire year RISKING BEING SPOILED BY CONSOLE GAMERS. Plus, being spoiled isn't even the major problem. Imagine waiting one year just to play a game you want. Everyone out there is having fun and you're not, it's such a f*cking tease.9 points -

Personal Luxury Car Appreciation

The personal luxury car, somewhat of the American land yacht equivalent of the Grand Touring car. Generally the two classes are similar, two doors, big engine, typically rear wheel drive, soft suspension, big trunks for your bags and maybe a guy who owed you money, and certainly luxury oriented. While there may be fewer personal luxury cars in GTA than grand tourers, they do exist. Mananas, Impalers, Stallions (if done up more like a Cutlass than a 442), Virgos (both), Sabre Turbo (if done up like a regular Skylark), Chino, Peyotes, Faction (if done up like a Regal), maybe even the Buccaneer and Alpha could be shoe horned into the personal luxury category. So let's see your take on a popular car style from a bygone era. I'll start with my Manana hardtop.8 points -

RDR2 PC First Impressions & Reactions
Geisterfaust and 7 others reacted to Spider-Vice for a topic
Other than kinks like the freezing issues and crashing, the game is not that badly optimised, but Rockstar went above and beyond to future-proof the game and change the meaning of Ultra settings, that's for sure. They definitely intended for the game to last a very long time and to look good for a long time in future GPUs. From the point I see the game efficiently using 100% of my GPU and my 12 CPU threads fully (not max), I wouldn't say the code is badly optimised. It's just a REALLY heavy game that needs some bug fixing. As I said, I have had zero major issues too, and I can hit 60 FPS quite a few times, sometimes it's constant in the plains and even the wilderness at night where there's less light and geometry to render (and when there is, I get 40 and above most times tbh). I have a feeling this is why even GTA V in its day had settings with a minimum of "Medium". It probably would've been wise to rename Low to Medium, Medium to High and so on because the game with lighting (one of the biggest things) on Medium can already look better than the console versions. TAA is blurry and is one of the criticisms, but it just is how TAA works... Literally. Go enable a temporal AA solution in a game like Watch Dogs 2 and enjoy the vaseline as well. The game looks awesome to me.8 points -

Now on to the pics! Let's start things small: Here's a closer look at the player camera, these will be the two third-person modes available. You might notice that Luigi's club now has an actual name on the map, big thanks to B_Smiles for that! We've sprinkled a few new zone names throughout the mod, including the unused train station names. Continuing with Redlight, here are some of the new blocks we have. I'm working on making all the shops separate models so they're easier to update (plus they're all mostly the same size anyway), and these buildings were real nice test beds for that. The bench and waste bin props have been remade based on this render, while the lack of references means these garages and trailers get entirely new, cartoony re-imaginings. That brings us to Little Italy, an area we're taking the same approach with. We really want this area to have the same level of variety as Chinatown, but since the renders we have only show the tops of the buildings that means plenty of new textures and new props are being created to "fill in the gaps," so to speak. To start off here's the new Tony's, totally revamped with some cues taken from Luigi's back alley. Here's a little gelato cart, in the same vein as the bagel cart and kiosk. We figured there was probably at least one more prop like this. Marco's Bistro! There were some good references for the surrounding area, but nothing for the restaurant itself. The color scheme was kept but grime was added to break up the repetition. Some random blocks, these were pretty straightforward and required less improvisation. Here's the train station, mainly based on this screen mixed with the designs seen in this render and the station in Redlight. And finally, a little sneak peek at Trenton. Thank you all for your patience, there's much more in the works we can't wait to show you. However, we'll be taking a break as we anticipate the release of the design documents. From the small glimpses we've seen in the Ebay listing, the new information will likely totally change the course of the mod's development and will probably lead to some things being retooled. I'm a little afraid to continue working with the possibility that all my ideas will be invalidated by new info. @Glovenfun21: Some of the same people work/have worked on this, but none of Alpha Mod 2.0's assets are used here. Thanks for your support!7 points -

Okay, so I finally had time to do the tests regarding BIOS and AMD Chipset drivers. For those who don't know yet, my issue is the "launcher exited unexpectedly" one, and we've been together trying to solve the mystery since around Page 5 heh, yesterday was so much fun right, RIGHT? Anyways, we came to some theories, and one of the most possible ones was: - Game/Launcher DRM is some atrocious piece of garbage that uses some instructions on the CPU that is braking for some because of a combination of [BIOS version (which includes AGESA version)] x [Chipset]. For some, a simple BIOS version update to the latest one worked, for others they had to downgrade their BIOS versions to fix it. And for some unlucky ones they're in a deadlock where they can't actually downgrade it, be it because it is sometimes not backwards compatible, be it because their own hardware needs the current version (i.e. Ryzen 3000). For those, unfortunately they'll have to wait for a fix from Rockstar. And why is it the most possible one? Because it was the only one where people with proven having the exact same issue (and not authentication, loading after bullet, etc) have fixed their own game. Keep in mind: since each one had one system, Motherboard, CPU, Chipset and BIOS version, this isn't a simple and quick answer/fix. So, for starters, if you don't know about updating/downgrading BIOS versions of a motherboard, the advice is DO NOT DO IT. THIS CAN BRICK YOUR SYSTEM TO THE POINT OF NOT BOOTING UP. As many in this thread did it, you've been warned. Also, if you don't even know how to do it, please don't ask anyone - the least you should be able to do is to read first your motherboard manual, all manufacturers have them in their website. (sorry about all those warnings, but it can't be stressed enough how risky this can be if you don't know what you are doing.) HAVING SAID THAT, I'm glad to say that it FINALLY WORKED for my case as well! My system: Windows 10 1903 (for some time now, not only for RDR2) Gigabyte AB450-Gaming CPU: Ryzen 1600X 32GB RAM GTX 1070 Before trying to downgrade the BIOS version - which was the latest one F42a - I've tried first to simply update the AMD Chipset drivers on Windows - which was using the ones coming from the Windows Update themselves. This didn't do nothing (apart from probably making things more stable everything chipset-related). Then I went to try the downgrades: F42a: Initial, latest from Gigabyte, crashing F41: Same F40: FIXED Again: this worked for my system, with my motherboard + CPU - for anyone else it will be different, most probably. Having said that, we can at least see what happened from F40 to F41 to create such a mess: (from the Gigabyte changelog at https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-AB350-Gaming-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios) From that info we can see that IN MY CASE probably AGESA 1003AB (and 1003ABBA, since it was on F42a) broke it. That maybe can help anyone else to try to find their own solution. I still couldn't even play the game yet - all I did was run the benchmark to see if anything would crash, but all good. Anyways, THANK YOU very much to everyone who helped in this investigation, providing details and their own thoughts.Let's see if we can get everyone playing it6 points -
