RDR2's graphics engine is unrivalled in the way it works in some aspects, however. Raymarching (not tracing) on consoles for the lighting/global weather engine of an open-world game for extraordinarily accurate cloud cover/lighting bounce/etc is unheard of AFAIK, they managed to make that work with tons of optimisation. Raymarching is very demanding, Watch Dogs 2 uses it on PC for fog if you enable it and it can bring your framerate down quite a bit.

100% itself is optional though since not everyone cares about 100%. Many of the things required for 100% don't make a lot of sense for the protagonists when you really think about. But man you really have it in for Tommy don't you? lol. I mean most of the things you're describing are just gameplay features or things that suit each character. For instance Tommy has no interest in getting a girlfriend since he puts business ahead first and he makes more money per day than CJ does. Sounds like a win to me. Anyway...

Rockstar didn't even tweet anything for the 6th anniversary of GTAV why would they announce RDR2 for PC on RDR2 one year anniversary?

I did the Condor event and won. Didn't see the Newswire, so I had no clue what to do. I didn't see one Condor, but saw the gold plumes on a hill at Valentine while galloping around with Eagle Eye on.

It's closer than before, sure, but we have to moderate our expectations. You should be a pessimist - that way, you're always either right or pleasantly surprised. In any case, the time between releases has been as follows. RDR2 came out on 26 October 2018 (11 months, 5 days ago). Now, in recent years they seem to have preferred either April/May or October/November for releases (which makes sense: October/November guarantees good holiday sales, while April/May is right after the start of a new fiscal year for Take-Two). So if I had to make a crystal ball type guess: it either comes out in the next two months, or it comes out late next spring.

Its possible to do it solo even, catch one and take him to the prison wagon, then you can pick the others at your own pace.

The_Truth did a few collision fixes last weekend. A non-solid car wreck at the Loco Low Co. lot in Vice City was fixed, plus he added collision to the steel beams on top of the Staunton Lift Bridge. He fixed the collision on the pipeline models which was a way to prevent the player from reaching the second island without unlocking it previously.

Immersion...? Magic cards that give you extraordinary powers...button presses that give you super/night vision...button press that gives you Max Payne powers...fast travel...etc,. etc. But I guess it's up to the individual to decide what "too much" is because, theoretically, you could play the game without using any of those...but I bet no one does.

I have a second bonfire with a stewpot, I have a weapon locker that makes me get rid of all the guns I dont want to carry around all the time, and it gives me a purpose to visit the camp in the first place. In addition, I got a hunting wagon, and I dont need to be close to a butcher to be able to benefit from my hunting trips. It makes what I did before the update so much better now. The bounty hunter is just boring (with the exception of the legendary bounties, but thats just one thing)

Had this truck since my ps3 days with this exact same color combo and rims. It's actually sea green and cream colored but the lighting doesn't show the green too much.

There’s been a lot of discussion about how improbable player bounties are (currently). I had an idea to help with that: anyone who steals another player’s Trade delivery should receive an automatic player bounty. It’s not something that can happen accidentally, and players would know the risks going in. I feel like player bounties are pretty interesting and should be used on griefer type players, and trade sales attacks are an obvious avenue to identify those sorts of players. Thoughts?

Cripps has packed up your camp... Maybe you can set it up in San Andreas. Seriously if my camp can't be set up shouldn't I see other camps set in the area? Yet I ride past empty camp locations. If the game can't handle 30 camps at a time they need to reduce the player count. Hell I never see anyone with the latest updates any way, I may as well be in a solo session for as much player interaction as there is these days.

So Rockstar decided to go back to using the original "qabeta" branch on steamdb which is quite weird. I guess "qabeta3" was a development branch for their launcher which is now public thus they have to use a new development branch? or something is coming ?

Any patch today or should I continue to assume I won't be seeing Cripps much?

It seems, whether intentional or not, that the horse will now only come when your character is able to make the audible whistle sound, even though the horse icon still pulsates when you try to whistle in an animation. And yes, it does feel like they take way longer to get going when you call now, kinda annoying.

sorry but you are simply wrong. young people do want to play games set in the past so why would it not be the case with GTA games? I don't think you understand this franchise very well. if Dan and R* decide to tell a story set in the past, they will. but fear not as even in the 80s you can still have your shiny modern things thanks to GTA Online. who's to say that R* wont release future themed DLCs with modern cars, music or whatever it is that you can't live without.

I don't get what all this math has to do with anything. If there's fast cars, automatic weapons, and an urban environment it can be turned into a GTA setting. I personally don't want a game set in the 80's but there's no real factual reason to think it absolutely can't be done.
