Thanks @Volganor! I love Survivals, and with seven new maps with double payouts, it's a great week! Also, a cool GTA$1 million just for logging in this week. Don't knock it if you need the cash. And the Declasse Mamba is well worth winning on the wheel. I already have one, but if I get lucky I might keep a second Mamba because it's that cool. Some vehicles are difficult to drive but very satisfying at the same time. And I especially like the Mamba Business Battle mission.

You think you hate it now, but wait till you drive it.

My tip is to do these survivals in free aim with shotguns, pistols and basic weapons. Roleplay them like real survivals. There are better ways of making cash in GTA online, so have fun and roll back the years with grass roots GTA online, with no artificial props, loops or broomsticks.

A great week for me, I love survivals and can't wait to try these. A real throwback, and along with how R* have added to regular racing this year, and things like bonuses on robbing stores and the like. It's been a good year for me here really. (Though busier IRL ). Six years though, blimey. I know I'll not play RDRO or probably anything as keen for so long. Flaws and complaints aside, there's definitely some magic about this game that I don't think will be replicated, at least for me. And a huge thanks to all here for only making it all that much better, especially folk like our weekly host here looking to help all, no matter who, how, why, or when. Thanks @Volganor and all.

Local sales can be done in defensive mode with no map marker visible to others, if you opt for the riskier distant sales then it's all fair play if somebody jacks your wagon.

It's a non-argument, an RDR2 PC announcement wouldn't steal any spotlights from anything, especially not RDRO related. It would do the exact opposite, make people be more interested in what RDRO has to offer for when it releases on PC. It makes zero sense. By that logic, GTA V PC shouldn't have been announced until GTA VI was about to be announced, because the "casuals" can't focus on two things at once. I wouldn't feed the obvious trolls.

I'd just like to point out that the Declasse shirt released today is actually new and never released before, to those that care about collectibles. Also, pretty much like last week, this is a great event for me and I'll be sure to log in and play during it as often as it is possible. I don't even care that much that the Jugular wasn't released today. Yes, I am excited for it, but new survival maps with the new payout and settings are enough to keep me occupied. In the end, I see this as one less week between the end of this dripfeed and the release of the next update.

Is that hard for R* to release more than one thing each week? Don't get me wrong, new Survivals are cool and all that, but it's not like we could have gotten the Jugular too or something. This is just padding out the dripfeed just because. Come on.

it kind of explains why it rains up in the mountains when it's well below zero online. it looks like the game can't do regionally independent weather. .

Yep, times have changed and "casuals" have become significantly more aware and knowledgeable about this stuff because of things like YouTube, streaming, social media and the like. The most popular games with casuals have videos going deep into technical aspects of the game with millions of views, guides on what are the most effective builds and ways to play, otherwise known as the "meta", etc. Rockstar making a post tomorrow announcing RDR2 PC isn't going to confuse anyone, it would quite clearly say "Red Dead Redemption 2 PC is coming yada yada", no one playing RDO on PS4/Xbox is going to look at that and go "wait does this mean RDR2 PC is coming to PS4/Xbox?" or something silly like that. It's not going to confuse anyone. I mean, what's it going to do? It's not going to have a real impact on player numbers (it may actually increase them with console players working on their characters before PC and character transfer), you'd also get PC players looking into the update and what's going on because it's coming out on PC soon, increasing the attention on the game, the update and the legendary bounties. It may be announced in the next few weeks, it may not be, but Rockstar aren't going to sit on it because they have legendary bounties still coming out. They'll have a release date and a marketing schedule for the PC version, weekly bonuses and events in RDO aren't that big of a deal to have any influence on that.

Why would anyone with an aversion to PvP run large far sales at all, nevermind solo. I dislike forced freeroam PvP and my biggest complaint about GTAO post 2016 has been the forced public sales with lobby wide notification. I don't often defend R* or those going after other players sales, but R* have given what I consider to be a very reasonable alternative in RDO, we can do a full sale, in defensive mode, remain off other players minimaps and without other players being notified by selling to a local location for $500. If you don't like PvP and others interfering in your sales, just sell local and watch the cash role in. Being greedy over an extra 25% just isn't worth it.

I might aswell chip in. -GTA 1's theme song is more memorable and recognisable. No it really is. Even if it's been years sine I last played GTA 1 its theme is still stuck In my head whereas I struggle to remember GTA V's. (The following are just for sh*ts and giggles) - GTA 1 has not one, not two, but THREE cities yet GTA V only has one. -GTA 1 doesn't require a story. You just run around the city answering random payphones to get missions and it still makes more sense than GTA V's fragmented and all over the place "story". -GTA 1 has expansion packs and GTA V doesn't.

The mane problem is that we get saddled up with our horses' temperament changing. But hay, one day they don't foal around, the next day they can be real nigh-mares, buck you off and you have to giddyup again.
