	I think it would be nice to change it to the entire month of December, but is it more appropriate just the Holidays and keep until New Year? I don't know, it's your decision. The hat on the forum logo is for the entire month. I think the emote could have be for same amount of time, and yes, im aware we're december 9 already, kinda my fault.<br />
	I'm not a graphic designer or something. As i wrote earlier, the hat is from your winter forum logo, i didn't want to reinvent the wheel, the reason is also that it's good, simple and fits. i think it's cool!<br />
	<br />
	<span>I'm only tagging you because i know you're a busy person and lately there's been a lot of DLC-related stuff on the forum and you might have forgotten, I would like to ask you to consider this idea positively <img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" src="https://gtaforums.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.gif" title=":)" /></span>

	Hi GTAF community.
</p>

<p>
	In an effort to increase accessibility to game newbies and ease of reading in some areas like the GTA Online and Red Dead Online forums, we'd like to ask for your help!
</p>

<p>
	Sometimes we have newbies asking what does "<abbr title="Easy Way Out"><abbr title="Easy Way Out">EWO</abbr></abbr>" mean, or "<abbr title="Cayo Perico Heist"><abbr title="Cayo Perico Heist">CPH</abbr></abbr>" mean, or stuff of the sort, and Invision Community has a feature so you can hover over an acronym and have it be told to you what it means. So hovering over <abbr title="Easy Way Out"><abbr title="Easy Way Out">EWO</abbr></abbr> would show "Easy Way Out" in a tooltip, "<abbr title="Cayo Perico Heist"><abbr title="Cayo Perico Heist">CPH</abbr></abbr>" would show "Cayo Perico Heist", etc.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	We've done this for the term <abbr title="Previously Banned Member"><abbr title="Previously Banned Member">PBM</abbr></abbr> as well (Previously Banned Member, try hovering over the word!) and plan to do it for more specific GTAF terms as well such as <abbr title="Official Gang Alliance"><abbr title="Official Gang Alliance">OGA</abbr></abbr> (Official Gang Alliance), so we'd like to ask - what terms do you think should be included so we can make things a bit easier to interpret for people who might not be into all the strategies and terminology of the online games or GTAF?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Edit: Because these aren't section specific, if the acronym has way too many meanings outside game specific terminology, or isn't that common and may conflict with some other types of conversation, we likely still won't add it. e.g. BST is both British Summer Time and Bull Shark Testosterone so...
</p>

<p>
	<br>
	Edit 2: We're mostly looking for terms used by seasoned players, some town names, console names, game names etc. aren't going to be added because 1. they might interfere with other conversations, 2. well, this is GTAForums, you probably know what GTA V and GTAO are. <span><img alt=":p" data-emoticon="true" src="https://gtaforums.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" title=":p" data-src="https://gtaforums.com/uploads/emoticons/default_tounge.gif"> </span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks!

	Not sure how easy this is or if it's even worth the trouble since it's purely cosmetic, I wonder if it's possible to have mentions of specific GTA games be replaced with a small little icon of the mentioned game, like for example typing GTAV in post turns it into <img class="ipsImage" data-ratio="100.00" height="450" style="height:auto;width:35px;" width="450" alt="0YbrMag.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0YbrMag.png" src="https://gtaforums.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> instead.

	We should have a button like "Media" or a similar thing near the topic title to see images and videos in a topic. It can be useful especially for total conversions to see images posted by devs during the development time of the mod. Basically making easy to find anything posted in a topic.

	My suggestion is focused on providing banners in sub-topics or sub-sections important or more active, (not in all sections) for example:
</p>

<p>
	When you enter the GTAO section, in the top banner always appears the most relevant or most active of the moment related to that topic, such as the weekly topic of <strong><a href="https://gtaforums.com/topic/1001999-weekly-event-8th-may-2025-team-back-up-with-dr-dre-for-bonuses-on-the-data-leaks-contract-plus-bonuses-on-security-contracts-new-community-series-more/" rel="">Weekly Update</a></strong>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<img alt="ab4ff7d8021f1608ad4164c6917b3c41.png" data-ratio="10.40" style="height:auto;" width="1000" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/ab4ff7d8021f1608ad4164c6917b3c41.png" src="https://gtaforums.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	It is true that some topics are already pinned, but sometimes it is confortable for navigation to go to the most relevant topic within each section/topic.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	PS: I hope I have been understood, sorry for my non-native English.

	I wanted to suggest to the team if they might want to implement a bookmark unique for each user where we can add topics that we are interested in.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	This is because with influx of GTA VI info and discussions this has spawned many different threads and not everyone is interested in all of them so it would be nice it each user could bookmark a few and have them in a dedicated section so they can view those directly without having to find them again and again
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Not sure if this would cause storage issues since users will bookmark lots of topics so perhaps you could limit it to 10?

	Since its release in 2008, prior to somewhere in Spring 2020, OpenIV has clearly getting getting maintenance. However, since around Spring 2020, developers mysteriously went inactive. Then for a brief period - around December 2021 and January 2022, OpenIV developers's - both <strong>GooD-TNS</strong> and <strong>OpenIV Team</strong> was temporary active again, however since at least March-April 2022, OpenIV's appears to be completely dead now! I clearly just cannot even see any kind of OpenIV's maintenance anymore, there're aren't <span>any developer's responses neither:</span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>OpenIV Team's - </strong>profile appears to be inactive since at least January 2022, the other dev - <strong>GooD-TNS, </strong>appears to was last active around January 2023, but seems he's completely vanished since.
</p>

<p>
	People's reports about problems with OpenIV are getting no replies, and just goes down completely unresolved.
</p>

<p>
	OpenIV's Bug Tracker on their website appear to be basically abandoned! Majority of the bug reports there, probably over 90% since a least April 2022, are still sitting for 1.5-2 years already with no single assignment, no answers and completely untouched by OpenIV's team, and with exception of 1-2 bug reports posted around March 2023, all other newer stills unanswered and basically abandoned.
</p>

<p>
	Separately, all reports about an errors related to OpenIV posted here on GTAForums from like the last 2-3 years, are not even getting any replies by OpenIV's team anymore, whatsoever!
</p>

<p>
	On OpenIV website, their forums are also toast - they only shows an error 503 and aren't even working anymore.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<u><span style="font-size:18px;">Because of this, I think the OpenIV subforum here should be locked and probably archived, because it's clear that OpenIV is basically dead, now at least 1-2 full years passed (2023-2024) since and now in 2025 there doesn't even appear to be any activity from OpenIV's devs anymore. Unfortunately this modding tool for GTA HD Universe seems totally abandoned.</span></u>
</p>

	Please, if this isn't correct forum for this thread for a some reason, feel free do move it to the correct one. Thanks!

	Perhaps this is already possible, so apologies if this should be a question under support. Is it possible to have easily pastable official control pad icons for the PS and Xbox Control Pads, eg Green Triangle, L3 stick etc? The Forum has custom emoticons mirroring post reactions, so I’m guessing this might be possible. Not sure how many people would actually use it but figured it might help discussion of describing in game techniques.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>
	i just want to share my thoughts, if its too much its ok, just wanna make things more organized and easy for people that use this section.
</p>

<p>
	i ususally active on the GTA Online part of the forum and always wondered about the find Lobbies &amp; players section.
</p>

<p>
	in short - its totally mess!
</p>

<p>
	i know the rules saying that need to mention the platform on the title but alot of people that make the new threads are new and its totally mess there.
</p>

<p>
	you don't know what platform they are and its mixed with other platforms threads.
</p>

<p>
	the other problem is that even the sticky threads that has alot of replays are mixed platforms.
</p>

<p>
	for example <a href="https://gtaforums.com/topic/782007-criminal-mastermind-recruitment-hub/page/131/#comment-1072462233" rel="">this</a>.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I think all this section needed to be reorganised and first and most important is to separate the threads to sub-sections by platform:
</p>

<p>
	PS, XBOX, PC (and maybe even RP separatly?!)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	each platform can has few sticky threads that very popular like:
</p>

<p>
	OG heist recruitments (cmm, elite, awards),
</p>

<p>
	Doomsday heist recruitments (CMM2/3/4, elite, awards),
</p>

<p>
	career progress, awards and trophies hunters,
</p>

<p>
	car meets,
</p>

<p>
	crews,
</p>

<p>
	RP, (?!)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	this way people can check what new by the relevant platform they are playing.
</p>

<p>
	maybe its not that popular section, but maybe the mess is one of the reasons.
</p>

<p>
	i'm not sure if need to sort all the old commnets and threads bc most of them are not relevant anymore.
</p>

<p>
	most of the threads can be put in archive and the new can be sort to one of the relevant platforms in the sub-section.
</p>

<p>
	admin can create new main threads like i mentioned above with normal title and stick them in the top sub-section, put link to these threads in the old one and lock them.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Even if its not worth the efforts for this version of the GTA Online, i think it can be very usefull in GTA Online 2 when GTA VI will come.
</p>

	I know that it used to be the case with the WoltLab Burning Board that attached images that were not inserted directly into the post were displayed as thumbnails at the bottom of the post. Is that also possible on this board? Then you could counteract the huge screenshot. At least as long as they are uploaded directly to GTAF.

	I think my title is obvious but i need to explain more..
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	For example if a gtaforums member/moderator or admin has been deceased the parents/loved ones must notify the forums by using a notify button or send an e-mail so administration team can start the standart procedures.. Or alternatively the members/moderators/admins must request an e-mail to send someone so they can reply it and inform the team.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In all cases the team must confirm if the member is still living.. If they don't get a response.. than.. they can start the process..
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I don't have a specific thing to ask from you because i don't know how can it be applied properly but it seems it's a missing feature for this forum.. <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@14.0.2/assets/72x72/1f642.png" class="ipsEmoji" alt="🙂">

	<span style="color:#f1c40f;">Ok, so this could just be a case of me getting too old for the modern internet, and so I don't expect this to be implemented, but no harm in trying, right, and hearing the argument against the suggestion. But browsing a lot of the topics on the forum, but there is just an abundance of posts that are either just a gif/video, and have absolutely no words to compliment it, thus it doesn't really add anything meaningful to the post/conversation, and again this is me maybe harking back to the old days, but for me a forum is meant to be about conversing about subjects, and actually putting some thought in to the post. I get it might seem slightly killjoy, especially in the VI section where a lot of the members tend to reply in such fashion, but...</span>

	Subforums/elements are highlighted when hovering over them with a mouse, but when you don't want to rely on your mouse and instead only use your keyboard you have no other option then to look at the bottom left corner to see the links highlighted there and navigate like that which is very inconvient.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I assume this is a problem due to the basecode of this forum, but maybe someone could make a suggestion to them?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Edit: Something that I have just encountered, but usually when an element on the website is highlighted and one presses Ctrl + Enter, the link/element will be opened in a new tab, but in this forum it opens a new tab and opens that content in the remaining tab, as well. The expected behaviour should be that page shouldn't be changed in the remaining tab.

	Hello Staff,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I think it would be nice if anyone with a good enough reputation could earn the ability to have a signature. By reputation I don't just mean likes but also things like how active one is on gtaf,  how many awards and community answers got, how many other positive post reactions like best bru and realistic steak are received, how old is account and maybe other factors I can't think of rn.
</p>

<p>
	I may have a sig bc i became a member of <abbr title="Leaf Links Cartel">llc</abbr>, a certified gang, but im pretty sure there lots of members who dont wanna be in a gang but want and/or need a signature to promote their content to unregistered gtaf visitors.
</p>

<p>
	Sure im glad i have a sig but i also want fair privilege, so to speak. Imagine you're a content creator who happens to love GTA but (also) does unrelated content, you join GTAF then you realize you have to join a gang to be able to get sig, but for some reason that creator doesn't wanna join or simply fails to join. That content creator now can't promote their content unless a member clicks on their profile which is significantly less likely. They want anyone to be able to reach their content but they simply can't.
</p>

<p>
	If you never thought of that perspective, I suggest you at least consider adding the ability to gain signatures via leveling up.
</p>

<p>
	Certified gang members can still have sig regardless of change btw.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you for understanding.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Have a nice day,
</p>

	Bit of a moan here, but I'm wondering why the current setup of forum notifications is so lacklustre, in terms of logging data? <br />
	So right now, if I click the notification bell in the top right, GTA Forums lists the last 10 (?) notifications, of which I'm only seeing 5. If I then click on "View All Notifications" at the bottom, I am literally showed <strong>no more information</strong>, nor <strong>any</strong> more notifications (it's still the same 5, not exactly "all notifications"), than previously.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong><img alt="JUbXmYm.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="75.08" height="398" style="height:auto;" width="1000" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JUbXmYm.png" src="https://gtaforums.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></strong>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If I wanted to see something from earlier than Friday, I literally have no way to do that, unless I have GTA Forums send me emails every single time, which will then clog up the mail box. <br />
	We (I) could really do with a setting to allow more notifications to be recorded / a bigger log of the data so that previous stuff can be replied to (etc).

Since this is GTAForums after all, why not expand the font selection list with all font options from various GTA games like Pricedown, Rage Italic, Diploma, SignPainter HouseScript etc.?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Think about it, members would be able to directly design OP headers for their mods\concept threads and stuff using OG GTA fonts within the post editor. This would save a lot of hassle regarding the graphics of a post, which are usually designed with MS Paint, uploaded and linked as images, and then one day the image hosting site bugs out which cripples the topic's visuals.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Not to mention this could also be counted as a performance optimization because most mod and concept threads use images for headers etc. and the text (formatted or otherwise) always loads faster than them.

	There are quite a few workshops and threads with broken links and images, and I'd like to see attachments implemented on the forums to prevent broken file hosting website links. This helps mod makers and those who publish screenshots to stop relying on third party file and image hosting websites.

	This has been an issue for a while I think, say you are on mobile and you accidentally quoted someone or selected the spoiler tag when you didnt mean to, you cant just erase it by backspacing like you can on PC, you have to clear out the entire text unfortunately. I also noticed that when trying to remove a video from one of my posts I couldn't do it on mobile but could on PC by just backspacing. Could this be changed such that you can now remove quotes, spoilers and the like by backspacing on mobile too, it would be pretty convenient?

	Like the title says, I think the forums should have more themes. Y'know, liven things up a bit and give us a few to choose from. The default and night shift ones are fine but a bit gloomy looking and simple. I heard there used to be VC and SA themes here, you guys should bring those back along with others like Red Dead and Bully. It's a small thing that most people probably don't care much for, but I think it'd be nice.

	I'm not very active on the forum, but I have the impression that the current banner, shown below, has been there for years.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="6.50" height="50" style="height:auto;" width="1000" data-src="https://i.postimg.cc/3Jdw1pMK/Sem-t-tulo.png" src="https://gtaforums.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	It's an excellent image, but think about how many hundreds of equally excellent banners could easily be made with this same concept, with the tons of images from the GTA series  that we have (in my personal opinion, this "degrade" concept is perfect, and it would never need to change.)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In fact, the banner could be changed from time to time, which would continue to make the site beautiful, and maintaining its identity,with the added surprise of we always appreciating different images from the series.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Plus, think about the meaning that GTA VI has at this moment, and how gtaforums deserve a banner with the images we already have of the game, from the trailer.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Do you think my idea is viable, and that its application would be good for the website, or not?

	i don't understand why it is supposed to be a bad thing to use older threads again which is called "necro bumping" by a lot of forum members.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	i always thought we are supposed to use the search function before starting a new thread to avoid multiple threads for the same topic.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	so maybe the forum team should make clear for the community if we should rather use the search function and use existing threads or rather start always new threads for the same topic to avoid "necro bumping".
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	if there is already an old thread about something which becomes up-to-date again for some member why not use that old existing thread for it??
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	if the team decides against "necro bumping" then the search function is not needed anymore and all those older thread should be closed to avoid any newer replies in them.
