After a really long hiatus (haven't played since 2021), I did return to RDO last week. New bugs and all, I still enjoy the game immensely, just riding along, soaking in the atmosphere and the landsacpe. Instead of rushing through dailies, I do whatever strikes my fancy. Doing dailies, bounties, replaying story missions with my high-level main character just for fun, even though I know most of the very well.

What I am really missing is playing with others. Today's reduced number of players makes it even harder to find like-minded folks to play with, especially now that Playstation communities no longer is a thing and my old crew abanoned RDO ages ago.

So in case anyone reads this and is interested in a slower-paced game where using a microphone, having fun chatting while playing is a thing, please drop me a message here and we can exchange PSN IDs.

One more thing: I am NOT looking for the kind of player shooting other players on sight but I don't mind having a shootout with other posses if they pulled the trigger first. I'm loaded with explosive ammo

Red Dead Online has finally been announced along with some details, and we're to expect it in November as an open beta for owners of the game on Xbox One and Playstation 4! Because there's no gang without more than one outlaw, it might be time for everyone to start connecting and forming some gangs, to take over the vast world of Red Dead Redemption II in the blink of an eye! Get up close and personal with the people you've been talking to for two whole years now, speculating about the game, fighting about the game and hyping themselves over everything and nothing and form a posse!

Just leave your GTAForums, XBL/PSN name and Social Club name and we'll add you to the list! We'll add a PC list once we get more details about a possible PC version.

Of course, with the active schedules that we often have, it is only possible to find a running posse "at any time" if the RDO group if fairly large. I am assuming the group would be using Discord, but any other equivalent voice tool is fine (I will install it if I don't already have it).

We are a highly organized and tight-knit group that was founded on GTA IV in 2010. We still play GTA and other games together, but with the release of Red Dead Online we have moved to Red Dead as our primary gameplay environment. We have members world-wide ranging in age from 17-35, with the majority being mid-20's. Ranks, meetings, training and more.

On Red Dead we enjoy playing as a friendly, but formidable Secret Society. We play all game modes, but are most frequently in freeroam riding, hunting, participating in lobby challenges, and engaging with other groups. We have exposed and defeated known groups such as the Reaper Lords also Charon Industry and more..

Many of our members are active on YouTube and Instagram, working together to create videos and photos. Our crew has been featured by actors from Red Dead Redemption such as John Marston, Bill Williamson, Hosea Matthews, Sean Macguire and Tilly Jackson. Rockstar Games and others.

We have also raised money through game-related events to benefit several charities on live streams.

We are not a casual crew and membership must be earned by demonstrating commitment and ability to uphold our standards. We frequently hear that we take the game too seriously, but for us any specific game is secondary in nature. Gaming is just what brings us together. The Slapping Swindlers Roleplay Community are a group of friends roleplaying on Red Dead Online as an outlaw gang attempting to survive on the Frontier, running from the law, rivals and other adversaries.
We are currently seeking other, mature, like minded folk, to boost our ranks and enhance our roleplaying experience.

How does it work?

We host roleplaying sessions every week, in-game, gathering enough people to act out their own made characters, through thegame and in-game voice chat.

Currently, everyone in the community has started in the same gang (The Slapping Swindlers).

New members (that would be you, the reader) have the ability to start on one of the follwing factions:

-Slapping Swindlers - Changed by an ever unforgiving Frontier, you have become an errant Outlaw. In order to survive, you've met and befriended a couple of folk in the similar situation. The call themselves "The Slapping Swindlers Gang" and have no other goal than to make their earn illicitly.

-Bloodrose Bounty Hunter - You've made a "living" out of bringing Outlaws to justice. Although it hasn't earned you a badge (yet), it has caught the attention of a professional outfit called "The Blackrose Bounty Hunter Guild". They have a challenging job for you, should you join them. To hunt down the Slapping Swindlers. ALIVE.

What rules do you have?

 1. Story over Winning.
    In some sports (like Judo), it is taught how one should take a fall, as it is inevitable. Similarly, it's our belief, that any good roleplayer is prepared to "lose" should the situation calls for it.
    A common situation, for example, is if your character in-game gets "killed" by another roleplayer, we do not consider it an actual death. We do however, consider it to be a major injury. So when your    charcater respawns, you have to act as if you're injured and not run away OR continue to shoot back.
Outrage and tantrums over "losing" a situation, will not be tolerated.

 2. Mutually, support, respect and love one another.

    We're a group of friends, from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, ethinicities, gender identity, sexual orientation and so on.  

    We're opening up the community as we feel the need to freshen things up and meet new people.
    And as such we ask to please respect all those you meet. The unwillingness do so, and the use of derogatory and discriminatory terms and expression of associated beliefs will not be tolerated.

3. Keep it real (enough)
   The term "Metagaming" is a term used in roleplay which describes a player's use of real-life or game mechanics knowledge concerning the state of the game to determine their character's actions, when said character has no relevant knowledge or awareness under the circumstances.
  For example, we don't mind the use of radar/map to locate where your friends are, but using it to track and follow someone you're hunting down is a bit much.
   Please use that knowledge sparingly and not in excess. You can't know and be everywhere at once.
   The perceived excess of Metagaming will not be tolerated.
    

How does one join?

If you're interested we have a discord link below. Please bear in mind that we have a small admission process.

As soon as you join the server please post the following on the first channel available to you (#admission-room) the following information.

        - Age (TO JOIN YOU MUST BE ABOVE +16 YEARS OF AGE).
        - Gender (Your gender and prefered pronouns).
        - Prefered Platform: (PS4 and/or PC)
        - Motivation for joining (Tell us why
        - What you enjoy (Tell us what you enjoy the most out of everything in your life)
        - What you despise (Tell us what you do not like at all)
        - Prefered faction (Slapping Swindler or Blackrose Bounty Hunter).
        - Character Bio (Tell us the story behind your character. Who are they, what made them what they are, how did they get how and where they currently are.

After examining the application, we'll have a chat about it, and if we deem fit, you'll be let on the rest of the discord channel server. You'll be on probabtion for 3 months. We reserve the right to remove you from the community should any of the rules are broken or we deem you unfit.

We are three members of the same family, who plays RDO when work and time permits. We all have our own posse, and are all members of each others posses - So when we have the opportunity to play together, we posse up, and help delivering trader goods, making supply runs, and whatever the day brings .. (We are currently Rank 113, 85 and 139)

It could be fun to be more than us three - To be able to hit harder, when we are attacked, or doing PvP ..

We do not demand anyone to be permanent members - occasional or a kind of associated members are also welcome ..

It would be nice if you are good at PvP (or becomes good over time) As I'm not much of a PvP'er, and always drives the wagons (and get the first shot in the head) So it's basically players who are interested in PvP, or want's to become good at it, that would be preferred - My two sons are pretty good at it, and can maybe give some tricks away to those who needs to get better at it.

You are more than welcome to have your own permanent posse, or make one - and we will of course provide escort to your trader deliveries, and try to help fight off griefers and bullys if necessary..

We mostly play when we can after 20.00 until 23.00 on week days - and whenever we can in the weekend (not specific) - And this is Central European Time (CET) The same as (GMT+1)

We are looking for Danish or Scandinavian players, mostly because of the language similarity - Hard to sit and speak english, when you are not using it on daily basis ..

But we may be open to English speaking players, if you are willing to accept that we speak danish to each other, and english to you .. Not everybody would think this is cool, when you don't know what we are saying ..

What's in it for you ? .. Up to three trader deliveries (on a good day) that is about 1000 RDO$ for helping as guard - and a lot of XP .. Free to do whatever you like, when not guarding wagon runs - or stay in one of our posses, where we do our side roles as bounty hunters, collectors, moonshiners and naturalist (if we not are getting sprayed) and to come play when you can or feel for it - no obligation ..

Every age, gender and ethnicity is welcomy to apply - very young players must be prepared for an adult group, that sometimes has a certain vocabulary (so dont be offended easily - thats my job) And if you behave as a child, dont apply - we are childish enough ourselves ..

We are trying with one or two at the beginning, to see how it will turn out - and maybe up to four, if things goes well (and maybe a couple of replacement members, to fill in for those who are absent)
