I have about 15 hours into GTA online and I'm just wondering really what's the end goal? You do the same missions over and over, you buy a car, buy a apartment and just do more missions? It's not like you are ranking up to become better at killing other players or something like that. In fact you are punished for it. I just don't see gta online lasting very long if the whole point of the game is to grind for nothing? But I hope I'm wrong and you guys enlighten me.
Found a nasty exploit that can be used to farm store robberies for cash.
Seems entering your respective consoles DLCstore menu resets wanted levels and store clerks, allowing for quick, infinite robberies.
Just wanted to get word out so we can get more reports to Rockstar about patching it. We need to put a stop to money farming wherever we can. It's less efficient than farming Noob's Duct but we can't just let a major gamebreaking exploit fall through the cracks.
That glitch you just told us all about is an actual exploit.
The money farming is NOT. It is the same way in any game out there. Deal with it.
I seriously don't understand the point in exploiting the game. YES... you're exploiting it. Even Rockstar tried to fix it to where no one could restart Violent Duct, but people still found a way to do so.
Doesn't it ruin the fun of the game? Do you not like earning things? Where is the satisfaction? It just reminds me of a bunch of kids who have had everything handed to them their entire lives and expect the same in the game. "DUDE! I don't want to work for my money. UGH!"
That said... who's up for some Violent Duct Exploits?
Using the farming technique is still a lot of work. sh*t, my hand started hurting after the first 200k. I had to give up early and get a "bad sport" mark on my record.
I worked my ass off for the first 30 levels, and nearly 200k. Mostly races. But when some douchebag comes along in freeroam while I'm in the pause menu, and costs me $2000 in medical bills, thats when I said, f*ck it, I'm farming.
Since the update went out this morning, I have been plagued by errors:
"The cloud is not available".
Getting stuck on loading screens.
Getting stuck in the menu trying to load playlists.
Xbox randomly putting back to Single Player.
My crew not being recognized in Multi.
It took me an hour, and three tries, to get through the sh*tty tutorial and into the game.
Rockstar sold 33mil copies, so they should have been ready for Online, and obviously they weren't.
What other issues are you all having?
Edit: This is not a complaint, this is a statement of fact. I am asking for others to comment on the issues they are having. Hopefully some of us will be able to shed some light on workarounds, or w/e. Lets call this, an unofficial list of launch-day glitches.
Edit 2: Update: At 12:16pm CST, I was able to get online, and my character was fully recovered. Thanks R*. Keep fighting that fight! Don't give up on us!
