Alright, good for me. I might block your crap too because its all biased but you act entitled like if it was all true and everyone agreed with you. Im even asking to my self why did you even bother in replying to me.
I know the game has flaws man, I recognize it but you don't have to tell me or anyone else around a houndred times just to get the message across.
I wasn't even talking about this game being specific, I was talking about the whole saga in general, about how the main basis of it was about stealing cars and killing people. Yet you had to reply to me seeing how my logic was flawed saying you could do the same in Saints Row.
For me like it was like if you compared Family Guy and The Simpsons, it ins't the same f*cking thing.
Sincerly - The utterly annoying prick.
Hey bud, if you remember this realllly old game named Grand Theft Auto, or GTA: London 1969, you would be familiar with how the game was originally meant to be; You play as a gang member and work your way up the ranks until you control the city gangs...
The "mindless killing and stealing" was nothing more than an afterthought, a means to the end. In fact most of the older GTAs actually made it difficult to just mindlessly kill everything, aside from using the cheats (which were more inspired.)
It's the kids, the rotten youth, of this current generation of gamers that want to mindlessly kill and take other people's things without really working for it, and if you ask me Id be concerned for your mental health, seeing as seem to fall within this niche.
Content Creator is going to have all the same problems as Neverwinter's Foundry, where a whole bunch of people will create easy grind missions and grind out whatever they need to level up or get that new piece of equipment. If they do "fix" this, it would only limit the effectiveness of such a creator by nerfing rewards for user content to the ground/make the reward non-existent, restricting the type of missions or content you can release, or simply be "for the loles," which for the majority of players would probably be very unattractive.
Face it, GTA:O or GTAV or whatever you want to call it these days is truly never going to reach that level of polish they promised it would be before launch; It may get close, but I'm willing to bet that within the amount of time it will take to get to that point, something better will surely snatch the player base from underneath it.
@Wbaker - sign of a true gamer, recognition of Counter Strike for the modern FPS. I'm sure we've headshotted one another more than once. :-)
If it wasn't for CounterStrike multiplayer FPS's would not exist today. Thus affecting game development.
The fps genre isn't dependent on any one title. If there is some reason why counter strike was revolutionary I am not aware of it.
Honestly if you're really educated in the progression of eSports, you would know that Quake back in 1996 was the first that a plethora of PC gamers garnished as a competitive FPS. This game was played so much that they even created a browser version in order to make it really easy to start for new and old players alike.
Then 1999 saw the MOD, keep that in mind, popularly known as CounterStrike. In no way was CS a game that was developed and introduced into the normal software market. It actually wasn't until late 2000 that Valve created a true game out of the mod, and then it still took until 2004, a year after the Xbox CS release and the year CS:S came about, that the ESEA League was even created.
It may very well be the central standard for eSports gaming and is vastly more popular now than many other eSport FPSes, but I highly doubt it was the model that all other eSports came from.
So I just left a session with two shathats who seemingly glitched two armored trucks, XBL iRayBaNzZ x and jmayle101, and I couldn't really tell from the amount of time I got to fight back, but the trucks were virtually unstoppable.
First off, they were upgraded, immensely. One pink, one red, both fully decked out with armor it seemed and had, unlike the armored trucks you find in the game, bulletproof glass shields. They proceeded to keep attacking me, so I shot, didn't work, then grabbed and laid a few stickies on each truck, blew them.... no damage what-so-ever...
I guess this game never truly will live up to it's old namesake and continue becoming more and more trash; I can't even play a single hour without some sort of REALLY terrible pop-in or all out freezing for anywhere to 5- an indefinite amount of time... what a joke, R*.
