No better timing has this thread come.
I was doing a trail hike with a friend of mine yesterday, there was this school excursion with about 20 kids on the forest walk that had the pristine blue ocean beside it.
The school teacher leading the class had them all sitting down and had a loud voice. I mean it sounded from a mile away he was havin a word with em.
My friend said "It sounds like he's upset with them"
I replied "Not sure"
When we got closer we had to walk through them as they were all sat down on the edges of the walk.
The teacher was saying this.
"What have you missed? <name> What have you missed? What have any of you missed?"
There was silence among the kids.
"You've got everything, you've done everything "Swimming? Track an field?? We have done those things last week, even yesterday! What have you missed?"
As we got further away on our walk my friend turned to me an said "I wonder what all that was about"
It accord to me so I told him.
"The teacher is having a go at them, they are all whining about what they are missing out on by going on the walk"
"Oh" My friend said I continued.
"Their being ungrateful, they're going on this pristine walk and just mopping. That's why the Teacher said What have you missed out on, cause they're complaining that they wouldn't be doing this or that but they have already done it only yesterday. They are the entitlement generation, they're whining and complaining about not having everything or getting everything they want even when they have it all"
"That explains everything" My friend said.
"Yeah, I'm glad he's havin a word with them and I don't see much hope in the future with the generations to come after seeing that today, the world ain't got a hope if that's the future"
Think they were all around 10 or 12.
