Ever since I've started modelling, I've tried to create things that are true to life that can fit in GTA seemlessly. Then I bought a PSP and experienced Wipeout pure, which had some very interesting tracks/themes, such as Paris Hair, Burger Town and Cardacity Run. Wipeout Pure is what originally inspired my idea to make sort of a surreal out of place world for GTA. This is only a start, but I plan to create a considerable land mass with big, bold and weird models/geometry conjoined into a vague racetrack for bikes, and maybe cars. I plan to also replace some vehicles and character models into simple cartoon like beings, maybe some really odd ones. Im using Vice City as a test bed for the moment, and plan to release versions for both VC and SA. (sa version might be missing replacement characters because I have no experience of their skeletons or bone weighting them). Heres a small piece of work so far:
Heres two examples of the simplicity of my peds
More work coming soon, Im hoping to isolate this Surreal area from reality with an Island soon. The land mass will somewhat resemble where the teletubbies live, but with purple grass.
