Remind me who this game is marketed towards? Adults? Teenagers? Simply, as a person who cannot sit in front of the television playing GTAO all day, here are a few reasons why I think this game punishes the 'casual' gamer:
- As of Title Update 1.06 - limited income from various activities
As a person who participates solely in races, I am unaware whether there has been a change in income after completing either a deathmatch or a mission. The reward for completing a race has been reduced from several thousand dollars to a few hundred. How am I supposed to purchase an apartment or those fast cars when I have to work several times harder to get together some pocket change? Are these the rewards I'm supposed to look forward to at the end, once I'm ready to leave GTAO for good and move on?
- Unnecessary Fees
GTAO charges you an Activity Entry Fee (for just about everything you do), Utilities Fees (if you own an apartment) and Vehicle Rental Fees (in races where you do not use your own vehicle). Pretty self explanatory. Imagine: you come in first place in a race and make a grand total of $360, minus the activity entry fee, and the vehicle rental fee, and you're literally making nothing.
- Degeneration of skills/attributes
After playing GTAO for one weekend in early October, I did not touch the game for several days. When I returned, I found that my character's Driving and Flying stats had been reduced from 100% to about 60% along with a message informing (and confirming) the degeneration of skills/attributes for leaving GTAO for extended periods of time.
You can laugh all you want, but I cannot support such a money hungry company and therefore I deleted my GTAO character last night. However, I have $200K leftover which seems to be attached to my PSN account. Is there anyway of completely erasing my GTAO history?
Remind me, did EA make GTAO?
