I know in Canada you can come over on a student visa to study here and then use that as a path to PR through one of the skilled workers programs, if you study the right subject of course and end up with one of the jobs they seek. It's even better towards adaptability because you'll have an education from Canada.
I am sure the US has something similar, try to find out about a student visa/getting into a US post-graduate institution to study something that will lead to a career they value and are more likely to accept if you want to move there.
EDIT: Here is what they look for in Canada under the skilled works program
This is what Canada is interested in, at the moment.
Eligible occupations (with their corresponding 2011 National Occupation Classification code):
0211 Engineering managers
1112 Financial and investment analysts
2113 Geoscientists and oceanographers
2131 Civil engineers
2132 Mechanical engineers
2134 Chemical engineers
2143 Mining engineers
2144 Geological engineers
2145 Petroleum engineers
2146 Aerospace engineers
2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers/designers)
2154 Land surveyors
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers
2243 Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics
2263 Inspectors in public and environmental health and occupational health and safety
3141 Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
3143 Occupational Therapists
3211 Medical laboratory technologists
3212 Medical laboratory technicians and pathologists' assistants
3214 Respiratory therapists, clinical perfusionists and cardiopulmonary technologists
3215 Medical radiation technologists
3216 Medical sonographers
3217 Cardiology technicians and electrophysiological diagnostic technologists, n.e.c. (not elsewhere classified)
This is what I spoke of when I said you have to score 67 points minimum out of 100 to be approved.
I know you are more interested about the US but unfortunately I cannot provide anything on that, hopefully the above does give you an idea though of what is roughly looked for in general.
EDIT: Yes, I believe they would change here and there but certain professions are always in demand with how things currently stand. It all depends on their cap, how many applications they are accepting that year and so on. Immigration demands are constantly changing demanding on the country's needs and those needs are generally suited towards those who can provide something economically to Canada.
Again, I can only speak from a Canadian standpoint.
Let me know if you want information on immigrating to Canada. I'm studying law and just finished a course on immigration law, it's where I want to work when I graduate in a year.
If they're close relatives it should be fairly easy for you to be sponsored if they are taking applications, the rules change quite often. For instance I believe the family "super" visa's are closed till January 2014.
If the US has something like Canada does with the federal skilled worker program, look into that. A lot of people are using that to get in.
I know of a guy to immigrated to Canada from Ireland under the federal skilled trades program, he is an electrician. You will have to pass a "point" test wherein if you score a minimum of 67 points throughout the categories out of 100, you will get in.
CIC website is great if you want to consider this.
Still fits within the definition of fraud. They did it without notifying us, and they did it for THEIR OWN gain.
Ok so file a lawsuit.
Do it right now, please. So I can laugh at you when nothing comes of it.
This is not fraud in the legal sense. Just because you feel you've been treated fraudulently on a personal level, it does not constitute actual fraud. Oh my, a business taking actions and decisions that gain them money....it's fraud!!
Have you suffered any losses as a result of this so called "fraud"? Has it caused you any suffering? Are you not aware just by looking at it that you don't have to participate in what you deem as "fraudulent", were you forced into it unknowingly? So on and so forth.
It's business. They told us well in advance they would be tweaking the online world's economy and so on based on what data they get from real players once online goes live. They told us before that they would be reducing RP points gained from missions and so on to stop people taking advantage by just grinding the same thing over and over again. They put a pause on the GTA$ cards until issues with people losing content were resolved.
Do I agree with some of the things they have done with GTA: O? No. I am not fan of GTA: O. But this is not fraud and you're a fool to think otherwise. If not, seriously go file a lawsuit.
Whether or not they cut this stuff out to make it DLC later or simply didn't have the time to finish it, ok, makes no difference now really because the game is out and what we have is what we have. That audio file, as I previously wrote and several others have, really does suggest that it's Online content because it sounds like the phone calls you get from various characters when you level up and unlock something. So all this content that people say sounds amazing, Casino, pink slips etc...yeah it'll likely be Online only.
My main problem is the fact that they seem to be heavily focusing development and future updates on GTA: O. They keep shoving GTA: O down our throats.
I don't know about you guys, but I prefer the SP and I wanted the SP to be everything that it could have been, as R* stated in several interviews. I feel like SP heavily suffered for GTA: O and SP never reached it's full potential because of it.
A lot of the features just seem.....they seem half-assed. If R* had fleshed them out further, it truly would have been greater than what it already is.
But no. Instead this is what we have and GTA: O is where it'll be for the most part.

There was a time when I would respond in this thread and tell the people bashing the PC players for piriating what dumbasses they are and how they are generalizing since not all PC gamers pirate just as not all console players purchase. You have console games being leaked days, sometimes weeks in advance of release and pirated. GTA IV was leaked and pirated a week or two before release. Meanwhile the PC version, even if pirated, had things in the game to protect against that (shaky cam) in order to ward off the pirates enjoyment as much as possible. And with most games using Steam nowadays, it's rare to see a game cracked before release date. Sometimes it takes a while even after release to get it fully working.
Yeah a lot of people pirate but those people would have pirated to begin with and it's getting harder to do so/enjoy the game lately without buying it. You also get no online if you pirate it on PC.
Meanwhile if you pirate a console game, you get a fully working game with SP and multi. Worst that can happen is your console gets banned and you can still go ahead playing your pirated games, just not online.
I think the whole incident with V files getting leaked from the pre-load is an example that pirating on consoles is just as prevalent these days as it is on PC.
Everyone pirates, console gamers, PC gamers. Get over it and stop bashing one group of people. the PC market is growing ever since Steam. Before that PC gamers were usually shafted left and right but with the rise of Steam, there's a great market in legitimate PC gamers.Hence why EA launched their Origin sh*t over the last few years, they know this and they want a slice of it.
Myself and many of my friends on Steam own over 100 + games in our collections. All bought and paid for legit, not pirated. This includes R* games.
I used to provide actual figures when I participated in these debate in the past but I really have no desire to because just like the other times people will continue to be ignorant and go on spewing their own BS which is mainly based off their own bias and feelings.
Can't we all just get along? Be it console gamer or PC, we're all gamers mang. We all deserve to play good games.

I don't take advice from a 3 minutes ago joiner.
wtf is this crap why does it care WHEN someone joins an useless forum? Does it really makes you feel better or something? Perhaps youre as sad as you talk. Give OP a chance, maybe he was being nice to create an account to share his idea? Its legit after all. So please get the f*ck out of here
Oh please, cry more tears and you get out of here if that offends you so much.
People on this forum have good reason for being skeptical about recent join dates. Would not expect you to understand as you weren't here during the info drought/wait for V.

I know the internet is full of d-bags and naturally Online will be as well but my god, the GTA-fanbase are even bigger c*ntbags than usual.
I was minding my own business and and browsing through the phone, someone kills me. Okay. Whatever, it happens.
Spawn, get run over literally within a minute. Spawn and enter the menu to get out of this session and find a new one, preferably with friends, get killed in a drive-by. Hear childish morons laughing over the mic.
I know there is passive mode but this is just BS. This was my worry with GTA Online but meh, I will just have to reserve my Online time for when I have a decent group of friends on so I can avoid the c*ntbags.
