For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.
Was about to post it lol. The place looks absolutely amazing in sunlight
I agree. Seriously if R* doesn't make a singleplayer DLC set in North Yankton GTAV will be missing sth totally unique and cool! They can't waste this place for just 2 missions. I hope that there's a singleplayer DLC set in NY coming sometime next year. I believe in R*.
Yeah, new artworks. Love it! Please keep 'em coming R*.
R* makes the greatest artworks, they sure have talented artists in their offices. I could stare at their artworks for hours. Can't wait for the upcoming ones.
I'm still waiting for the jewelry heist artwork, featuring Michael.
One of my favorites for sure.
Thanks R* for the artworks! I have no idea why some here are just so ungreedy - yeah they could have released these way before but who cares? I'm sure they release them now on a weekly basis to keep the wait for upcoming DLC a little bit shorter and less painful. I'm sure you get what I mean.
What I want to say is that R* fooled us during the entire marketing period - running from October 2011 to September 17 and beyond.
They promised it to be their biggest game yet - in terms of map size this might be true - but in terms of gameplay it's just a big lie. The moment I saw the leaked map of Los Santos and Blaine County on the internet - a few days before the games official release - we all had to see it. There was barely any side activity stuff seen on the map, one strip club, hundreds of tennis courts, two Yoga spots, one Dart icon and a Hunting icon. At that moment I thought, well, where's the minigames, where's the Burger Shot or Cluckin' Bell icons.
What I intend to say with the above is that R* promised way more with GTAV than they kept in the end. There's literally only the golf minigame which really stands out - I mean R* said they don't want to make so much content but instead focus on few flashed out ones - but let's face it, besides golf there's not really a minigame which would have taken a long time to develop. Yoga? I mean Yoga??? R* could have well saved some time putting their efforts into it and rather keep finishing coding the Basketball minigame, or Pool, Bowling, Air Hockey, etc.
Another thing is Hunting. I was thrilled to say that for the first time animals would be in a GTA game. All what's left now is a total letdown. Deers, deers, deers ... deers everywhere - and a few dogs in the city - that's about it. No bears or so. There should have been lots of other animals, based on Red Dead Redemption - I mean I thought the whole countryside was going to be like RDR. It would have made so much more sense than the countryside from GTAV. A big useless mountain here, another useless mountain there.
What did R* call it - a fully fleshed out Mt. Chiliad or words like that? Well all I can find is a blank big box of textures, without any trees, one road up the mountain which seems like it was made literally an hour before the game was pressed for the public - because the road is just leading up the mountain straight - I remember the road up Mt. Chiliad from SA (PS2 era) - that's what a road up a mountain is supposed to be - I mean this road makes it impossible to drive up with bigger vehicles - it's just impossible to climb up their because the layout of the road is so f****ed up. Sorry but that must have been said. One big mountain - with coves, animals, trees, tents, campfires, various roads leading up to the mountain, etc. would have done the job in addition to the desert, etc. but instead R* chooses to make thousands of stupid and useless blank mountains - where there's nothing to do, nothing to find and where you can't even drive up because the roads are so f*cked up and lazy build. Side note: It takes more time to drive up Mt. Chiliad in SA (PS2 era) than in GTAV, even though Mt. Chiliad in V is supposed to be a lot bigger. But the f****ed up road layout and general layout of the mountain is so horrible, just horrible.
The lack of trees is a pain too - countryside without trees, come on - I still believe R* should have cut parts out of the map and instead make the stuff it's supposed to look and be. What's the sense of such a huge world where there's nothing to do. Red Dead Redemption had a f*cking huge map too, but strangely it felt so alive - there was something to discover around EVERY corner, literally - the hunting was so appealing - there were trees! I don't know what has happened but Blaine County is a lazy build - it was either that R* ran out of time or, ... no I can't think of anything else.
The parachutes are back, yeah! But why can't we put them on our back manually? Why aren't they visible while walking or so. It's looking f*cking stupid and ridiculous when in mid-air the parachute is appearing out of nowhere on the back of the protagonists. Why can't we choose to have the parachute on or not - why is it automatically enabled when jumping. I don't get this.
The skymmer has been cut too in the course of developement - I see, ironically it was one of the first ever seen planes from GTAV, appeared in the debut trailer. I have no idea why the have cut this one.
I don't want to start talking about the underwater part of GTAV. You know the story behind it. Rockstar promised a fully detailed, explorable ocean floor - this must have been the biggest joke during the marketing from GTAV.
I remember parts of the worlds first preview in the Gameinformer magazine back in November 2012.
Dan Houser promised unique hobbies for each of the three characters - Franklin was supposed to be the adrenaline type of person, etc.
Now as recent discoveries show, lots of stuff has been cut before release - like Basketball, Air Hockey, Bowling, Pool, Drug Dealing, Drag Races, Burger Shot, Gym, Cluckin' Bell, etc.
I believe Dan Houser thought that the game was going to be WAY bigger in terms of content and stuff to do besides the story back in the days of 2012.
Franklin's special minigame would have been Basketball I suppose.
There's so much map icons that have been discovered from the game files that simply didn't make it into the game. I'm sure it wasn't because the consoles couldn't handle it - BECAUSE THEY CAN HANDLE IT - it was because R* ran out of time, they ran out of f****ing time.
R* should have delayed the game for another six months or even a year to get the coding for all the planned minigames finished. Now we have Tennis and Yoga, Yoga!!! I still don't believe they cut stuff like Basketball, Bowling, Pool, Air Hockey, Gym, etc. for Yoga.
Unbelievable R*, unbelievable - my only wish now is that all of the mentioned stuff above and more comes in BIG future singleplayer DLC.
This all sounds like Online stuff. The voices all sound like those random phone calls on Online.
online and offline - that'd be my dream!!!!
I want singleplayer DLC
SNOWMOBILE races for North Yankton
all new story set in North Yankton
I'd pay lots of money for it but I want it.
Maybe there will be some bleed effects from Online to SP like Beach Bum stuff but I don't think there will be much. If this is true, I feel kinda of cheated. Like SP is legitimately not complete yet. Frist time I've been with the whole "DLC is killing SP" crowd.
There should be at LEAST one BIG singleplayer DLC for GTAV - hoping for more though.
NORTH YANKTON DLC is a must (new story missions, new activities, snow dedicated activities like snowmobile races, etc.)
DLC with all new minigames, gambling, more animals, more side activities, etc. would be MUCH appreciated too!
