October 1 is here and everyone has started applying for this Affordable HealthCare Act or "Obamacare".
I personally have not apply yet, but just went to check out the individual calculator and it says I need to pay almost $3000 per year (based on Silver Plan). Somehow that calculator is broken because no matter how much income I type, it always comes out the same amount.
Here is what I read so far. It may be wrong, so don't quote me on it.
Individuals who already have Medicare don't need to apply
Individuals who are 26 and under can go under parent's health plan
All individuals who do not have health coverage must apply for Obamacare?
There are 4 health plans: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum
Employers with 50 or less full time employees (FTE) are not required to play for employee's health coverage. However if they do pay for coverage, they may be qualified for tax health credit, up to 50% of the cost premiums.
Employers with 50 or more FTE are required to pay for employee's health coverage.
But if employees just work no more than 29.5 hours, then employers don't have to pay for their health coverage, since they're consider as part time employees.
There was a internal memo leaked on what Forever 21 is doing.
Anyone applied for Obamacare yet?
