We have Franklin and Trevor sorted which is good but we now need to find the best mission to exploit as Michael so we have all three characters available for crime-free killing sprees. Maybe one of the Epsilon missions?
For Michael, just replay the Friend Request mission, go into the store but don't buy the clothes you need for the mission, just leave and the cops will never bother you. You also keep your money and weapons when doing this.
Okay, I'm done carrying this out. (Most of you) showed some heavy interest but, there is one piece of bad news. I have no idea how i pulled off customizing the purple and black CVPI slick top, it had to do with one of the LSC glitches a couple pages back but that's all I know (Still trying to reproduce it guys) But, I DID find a couple alternate ways to customize the emergency vehicles (Did this to get the White FIB Buffalo. The easiest and most popular way is the ol' transfer cable/ USB Mod. (Xbox only as the program I found only supports 360. FOR NOW. Sorry PS3 players :\).
If you're interested PM me and I will go through the rest of the process. If there's enough traffic then I'll make a nice post here. Or thread. I don't know.
Drewster327: Happy now? sh*t. No wonder our society is so f*cked. Patience.
Disappointed with the lack of responding police vehicles and the lack of patrolling units. Every single damn time it's a friggen Taurus chasing me or someone else. Is it that hard to have the Marked and Unmarked Crown Victorias and Chargers to get in on the action? They got it right in IV but I dunno.
There's almost always someone around. I've been testing this, and I've reliably been able to reproduce a distant hiker at the edge of draw distance (probably 600-700 meters?) calling 911 if you kill someone. Furthermore, if that hiker is out of draw distance (thus I've tested that no one else is around), then I can kill by passenger and I will NEVER get 1 Star.
Car explosion though... well... I guess the logic is, it's loud. Sometimes this one is annoying because I always like to torch cars I steal with a gas can. (No reason, just fun to 'hide the evidence').
Anyhow, I'm about 120 hours into GTA5 now, and I found that almost every time I thought no one was around...
someone actually was around
Still doesn't explain the instant one star you sometimes get.
Got a wanted level as Michael and ran into his house and went into his bedroom without the police seeing me. Police pull up to the house and immediately dash upstairs into Michael's bedroom. Dead.
Don't even search the other rooms in the house? Police always seem to "wander" into your exact position when you're hiding. No matter if you are one block away from the crime scene or twenty and the police haven't tailed you. The f*ck is that.
1) They're not TOO difficult, though I think it's silly that they only get harder the more you kill them. In reality, if any suspect were to start inflicting massive casualties on a responding police force, brass would pull their units back to limit damage and hopefully get the suspect to calm down. They'd, if anything, watch from a distance and observe his next move. But they wouldn't just throw an endless swarm of officers and federal agents at the guy until they finally contain the situation. The closest we ever came to this situation happening in real life that I can think of was Christopher Dorner. Problem was, he didn't inflict large amounts of casualties, so the police had little motivation to let up and surround the cabin wherein he had barricaded himself. But I certainly don't remember any police force charging into the warpath of a raging gunman like the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan...
2) Maybe it's just me, but I feel like when you're hiding in an alleyway, the police magically seem to know which little nook or cranny you hid in, and they randomly decide to turn down that alley. What's the point of trying to hide if an army of telepathic, psychic goons are just going to weed you out with their sorcerous bullsh*t anyway? You have a better shot at escaping by just flooring it and going somewhere they can't follow....like a mountain or something. But if you're at 3-star or higher and you have a chopper on you...good luck hiding on a summit.
3) Also...it's just kinda bullsh*t when you use a jet as a getaway vehicle and you can't get away because choppers keep spawning right in front of you, even at like 35000 ft, which is WAY above the flight ceiling for ANY kind of helicopter. No air, no lift. Those police choppers should drop like rocks at that altitude. Personally, I think they shouldn't spawn at all. It's silly that you can't escape the police by air. The only true escape vehicle I've found that can successfully carry you away from a five-star wanted rating is the DSRV-type submarine. 400ft below the surface is apparently the only place the police CAN'T follow you. And as far as I can tell, there is no accessible submarine in GTA:O, so you're pretty much screwed if you manage to get in that much trouble.
I strongly agree with your 2nd and 1st points. I experience that sh*t every. single. damn. time.
Drive a good amount of blocks away into some random alleyway, police just so happen to snoop at that EXACT stop.
Cops also seem to have supersonic hearing, when I silently steal a car (not breaking the window), with NO witnesses or CCTVs in the area, the cops in the UNDERGROUND metro seem to know exactly what I look like, what kind of car I'm stealing, and where I'm heading off to. Some bat sh*t.
Don't even get me started with escaping helicopters while in a jet.
I don't HATE the wanted system or the game, it's just that the police needs to be worked on. A lot. Awareness/Alertness, respond time, spawning.
