Since a while the cargobob seems to be the only helicopter spawning for me. Even the hospital roofs now spawn cargobobs. While I appreciate the cargobob itself for it's transportation capability, I'd like a maverick from time to time (because the cargobob is too slow).
Does anybody know where I can get a Maverick for sure'
[REL] Mod Switcher Just wrote a little script, nothing special.
What does it do The only thing my script does, is moving files around. If you want to disable the mods, it just moves the files into another folder, so GTA won't load them anymore.
Installation Extract the 2 files (the .exe and the ToggleMods.ini) into any folder you want.
Configuration To select the files which have to be moved around, you need to edit the "ToggleMods.ini". Open it, and edit the files (the root folder for the script is on my example "D:\Program Files\Games\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV"):
[LastAction] Value=Restore <-- Don't touch this one
[Files] You begin with File1. If you have for example 34 files, you go up until File34. On every "File*" you enter the path to the file you want to move. I hope it's clear for you with the example. If you want to move the whole content of a folder, just enter the path to the folder.
[Replace] This time you also begin with File1. This section replaces original files with modded files (and of course modded files with original files). Just read the readme, should be clear then.
Additional Information When you "disable" your mods, my script copies them into a folder called "Backup" in your "Rockstar Games Social Club" folder. I didn't know if GTA IV cares about a new folder in his root directory, so i put it the "Rockstar Games Social Club" folder (don't worry if you have custom paths, it's reading them out from the registry). When you "enable" your mods, my script copies them from the "Backup" folder to their original places.
If you encounter any bugs or got some tips for making the script better, please let me know. I can upload the source code if you want me to (written with AutoIt).
I'm just about to finalize my little Script to move mod files into an other folder, and then restore it again. Now, I just got a question about that filechecker. Does he only care about the original game files or does he also say that you're game is modded when he finds a folder called Backup in the GTA IV root folder? Or an exe. Thanks for the help
