| Anyone have recommendations for jobs that:|
-need little or no college
-pay enough for cost of living for one person
or a job that's a stay at home? I heard some people do things with "Adsense" or something like that. What is that anyway?
This depends on where you live. A friend of mine just had an interview for playing video games for money. He's waiting for a call back. The job pays $11/h. If hired he'll play video games and try to spot glitches. During the "interview" he got to play final fantasy for several minutes. He said he found 4 glitches (you need to notice them and write them down.)
As for "Adsense" you can make some money only if your website (blog) gets good amount of traffic and that's easier to say then to happen. Even than money is not actually "good" because you can't do much with $50/month. Adsense money can only be coffee money for 99.9% of bloggers and website owners.
In bigger cities, like LA, NYC you can find a lot of jobs without college degree. However even $11/h is a miserable pay in LA considering the cost of living. For ex. a lot of people in LA are working as background in the movie and TV industry. It pays $64 per gig for non-union members and $128 for union members. If shooting goes over 8 hours first two hours you get $12/h, then 3rd-4th hour of overtime (That's 11th and 12th hour of shooting and trust me it happens more often than not) you get $16/h if you're non-union. But even this field is now over-saturated because LA has a high unemployment rate at the moment. This simple means less potential gigs.
I'm in Hwood, trying to write and pitch projects for TV and movies, but so far no big money have found me.
