As with all of the cars that look good in V, the Comet included, I just could not grow attatched to them at all. Every game I've had, except for TDU, any NFS after ProStreet, or MC:LA, I found myself easily attatching to the cars. In the III era GTA's, it is complicated but I was more accepting since they were arcade and poorly textured. In V I just cannot grow attatched to any car for more than 10 minutes. The handling throws me off the most, it ruins some of the most perfect looking cars for me.
Test Drive Unlimited hard to attach to cars? Even the classic ones?
Even then though, I still think San Andreas (the supposed crown jewel of GTA games) has the absolute WORST car handling/physics out of any 3D GTA game. The unresponsiveness of turns, the lack of impact when crashing and the fact that running people over SLOWS you down, it feels like a downgrade from Vice City and III in almost every way, even with full driving skill. Cars can take more damage but that's about it. It's not that horrible, but it is my least favourite handling system of any game in the series, not counting top-down games.
San Andreas driving is good at least for me, but I agree that reaction to enviroment/peds/vehicles is awful no doubt. IV nailed both things perfectly.
I have no issue with the driving mechanics, what I really have an issue with is that I cant change the driving controls, R2 & L2 suck, need the option of X & Square put in as its ruining the game for me currently, im making mistakes I would never make in GTAIV etc because im instinctively pressing X & square instead of R2/L2, plus I can use my thumb for both instead of 2 fingers on buttons which are awkward to use at best!
Come on R* update it so we can change the controls!!!
But with that system, you have no control over your acceleration. Its either:
Don't go at all
The old system actually makes more sense for GTA V, while the new L2 R2 system made more sense for IV.
Being as old as I am, I have unfortunately seen many an odysses of drug addled friends and their ups and downs. Their attempts to get clean and ultimate failures. Often enough, its women that drag them down. Sex can be a powerful manipulator, I unfortunately saw some very consistent behavior in Johnny and his demise, in my opinion, is great story telling. After all he went through, he couldn't walk away from the p%ssy. Meth is a horrible narcotic, many people cannot quit because of its sexual effects. Johnny was not a p%ssy he was a victim of it.
And to be honest, whom of us non-virgin heterosexual males have not been at one time or another a victim of p%ssy.
Sex being one of the reasons? Highly unlikely. It doesn't make sense for me. He can get better p%ssy elsewhere if he wanted to. Hell he even let Billy f*ck Ashley.
The two barely spent any time together in the entire game.
I would have it play out something like this. As a pretty lousy writer, I can't really think of a decent set-up for this scenario, but here it is.
A firefight erupts, with Trevor on one side and Johnny, Terry, and Clay on the other. The shootout ends with Terry and Clay dead, and Johnny severely wounded.
Trevor stands over Johnny with a smirk on his face and his pistol pointed at Johnny's head for the final shot. Breathing heavily, Johnny looks Trevor dead in the eye, unblinking, and bitterly tells him to go ahead and do it. The last of his brothers are gone; he's got nothing left to lose.
Trevor is caught by surprise. He's used to killing people in the heat of the moment, or when they're begging for their lives. It's rare for him to see someone so apathetic, if not vaguely hopeful, about their own death. After a moment's hesitation, he pulls the trigger.
For a few seconds, Trevor continues looking at Johnny's body, a look of vague disquiet on his face. It's one of the few times he's ever felt disturbed, however slightly, after killing someone. He growls in frustration and shakes his head before turning around and storming away. "f*cking moron," he mutters.
Make sure it's also a hard boss fight (something similar to Big Smoke) with no auto-aim allowed
They take a crap ton of bullets and you have to use a lot of cover to use health regen to your advantage.
Even San Andreas had annoying missions in the beginning, let's bring back tradition!
