I'm sorry but Wikipedia cannot be trusted for accuracy at all. It is a freely editable resource, which means anyone can change it to whatever they like.
Actually it's quite accurate and trustworthy. You see although it can be edited by anyone there are a substantial amount of dedicated Wikipedia editors that review and correct much information. In fact most studies of accuracy on Wikipedia site misspellings and poor structure as the biggest issue with most real inaccuracies being described as minor. Also with a game like GTAIV which is so popular and well known any inaccuracies would be corrected or at least noticed rather quickly. I've used Wikipedia for school countless times for History mainly. I ended up with straight A's in History. Most factitious edits are either obvious (bad spelling, bad grammar ,etc) or quite minor (occasional wrong date, rumors cited as fact, etc.)
Also I can't say this enough CHECK THE CITATIONS. If an article seems fishy and has bad citations or none at all then either don't trust it or look up the info elsewhere.
