|QUOTE (EA community manager at EA forums)|
Below is an official message which I just sent out to all the community leaders and fan-sites, please read every word so you fully understand what is going to happen tomorrow!
Iíll leave you with this, the official demo for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, that youíve waited many years for, the gripping feeling knowing that C&C is back, Kane is back, Tiberium is back, ok, well lets say it right now:
C&C is officially back tomorrow as the demo for Command &# 38; Conquer 3 will be going live on our official site at www.commandandconquer.com AND EA LINK, as well as FilePlanet.com whom we know many of you have already pre- loaded with. Keep your eyes peeled on both sites for the moment the file is live, tomorrow is the day!
Going to be until at least 10AM PST time, no need to stay up a ll night....
Link to topic at C&C3 forums - http://forums.ea.com...threadID=188366(forums are pretty slow right now, probably due to so many people being on there)
See some info on the game at Wikipedia
You can view more info about the game/screenshots/gameplay videos at GameSpot
The demo is up for download right now on Fileplanet, however the queues are MASSIVE there and it'll probably be a slow download so it's bad luck for people who aren't subscribed... like me.
You can also download it on Gamershell.com. I'm looking for other sites to download the demo right now... will edit this when I find more. Links found so far below:
Demo includes: One tutorial mission, two single-player missions featuring live action video sequences, one skirmish map with three different difficulty settings, and one trailer featuring Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Michael Ironside.
Anyways, this topic can be used to discuss the demo or the Command & Conquer games in general.
This looks set to bring the C&C series straight back up, it's got everything from the old games from the Tiberian series - that's including the cheesy cutscenes performed by actors. The demo contains a lot of content too, especially seeing as the full release of the game is only a month away.
I was worried at first that EA would wreck the C&C series, but so far it looks like they're doing a lot right here. Should be awesome.
