I have never been able to sell anything I have really bad luck with it, the session will be empty for 3 hours and then I'll try to sell and some dude shows up and kills my stuff like clockwork

I usually leave other people doing ceo work alone, but it's fun to mess with them every so often

I tend to try not to kill them, just put the fear of god into them

Complete and utter lies. I didn't spend $4.7m to be painted as a griefer who wants to ruin everyone's day. The Deluxo adds convenience to my GTAO experience, and to me at least, it's flat out cool. It's a shame that people use them to grief others, but not every single person who has one does. I'm not automatically a bad player because I own a Deluxo. To say that everyone who has a Deluxo uses their car to grief others is a flat out bullsh*t claim, no buts about it.

Don’t fly it near me fella. I have a pathological hatred of them and shoot them down with either the Akula or the explosive sniper first, then ask questions later lol

I'm not the only one then - even if they're not flying near me. If I am at a loose end and see more than one deluxos on the map out comes the Akula. :)

Rockstar actively rewards people for attacking other peoples businesses, so when they do, can you really call it griefing...?
If you don't want to be "griefed", solo public is the way to go.
In a full public server if you're the big ass blinking red dot on the map with a reward assigned, you can expect people to come after you.

I use my deluxo as a cruiser and occasional bounty hunter, i personally find them easy too defeat so avoid using it myself as weapon of choice

But when i bring the stromberg or tank out its boom boom boom :). Oppressors are a bit of a menace but they are like wasps once stunned they're done

My stuff gets destroyed 1 out of 10 times. But usually with Bunker and MC I buy supplies then sell a high-end car to cover the cost of bought supplies. This way if my stock gets destroyed I technically didn't lose any money, its just a slight inconvenience. You should always try to sell special cargo in a full lobby because at the first sign of trouble all you have to do is close app and you will only lose 3 crates or once in a great while none at all.

Get familiar with which sell missions are the easiest for you because there are some that you shouldnt even bother selling with at all. Also watch the map for a few minutes, see what other players are doing. Don't be afraid to use ghost org and off the radar. Sell at 1 vehicle but have a friend watch your back. Close app/dashboard if you feel like your about to be f*cked Dont ever let bunker or mc be your number one money making method. Google solo public lobby method.

i've just got done with a ceo crate sale, after my previous session where i had to deal with griefers they kept attacking me when i would go after crates i bought, and later in same session i kept noticing on the kill feed one of them kept killing another player ( i did vote to kick the griefers earlier), so  i sent mercs after them, and few minutes later they abused the vote to kick feature.

Genuinely dude. Why can you abuse the kick feature, but complain when others do what you do to you back?

I agree it's made too easy for folks to attack, but you start jobs in busy sessions knowing the potentials. Go solo or give it up and play other lucrative modes, as this vicious circle of bad form IS what's the real problem here. People like you abused the kick/report feature so much, it's now useless to try to report genuine cheats and true trolls by using this.

You need to accept accountability for your actions. You tried to kick them, so they kicked you. They just wanna play as R* allows. You need to be far more aware of your surroundings in this climate, it's no secret that since day one, freemode is a mixed bag at best.

Why no "no" option? Or more precisely why bundle it with "I'm a greifer"? You immediately imply that if you don't get greifed you're a greifer.

Greifing has not gotten worse. It's always been exactly as common as it currently is.

The consequences of greifing got worse with FAFF and forced public session work. Now a greifer can cost you millions. There are ways around that from solo sessions to disconnecting when attacked if you have no problem abusing the game's features. Or play smart, play with a team. You have a choice.

If you vote to kick make sure it kicks. If you're solo, never use it, it's like putting your cock in a hornet's nest (you'll get about 1 second of pleasure then it all goes south).

Ironically, I do grief people from time to time. A lot of people deserve it (especially if I see them blow up a shipment, and sell right after they do.)

It'd be for the best if the feature was removed.

Rockstar creates this mess, you know.  The kick feature has no limitations on usage and not even a description of what it's supposed to be used for - although when someone votes to kick you, you get a message ("Improve your behavior...") that suggests it's mainly there as a deterrent and control on griefing and abuse.  Add in the fact that this community can't even basically agree on what griefing is in GTA Online, and even people trying to use the feature "the right way" may be doing something that half the population thinks is sh*tty.

In this case, I'd give the benefit of the doubt that he thought he was just voting to kick "griefers."  But he probably defines griefing very differently from me.  This is what you get when we're all playing what is basically Griefing Online.

90 million players play 90 million different ways. There will be 90 million different definitions of the "right way", of griefing, of pretty much everything.

Was it really mis-use of kick to vote for someone who was griefing? It's what it's there for, at least part of what it's there for.

While clear definitions cannot be defined or agreed upon by the player base there are clear do and do not's. Being a solo player in a populated session or being part of a minority group in a session with another crew, voting to kick isn't going to do you any favors much like attempting a solo sale mission in a session that you have previously attacked a crew, or has numerous red jets floating around.

Always been a 'treat others as you wish to be treated' type of guy TBH Nutduster, but I can agree, maybe my question/point was too direct.

I believe you and many know my views on this all too, I agree with you that the game has indeed become just the mess it is at times out there. With so many seeing things so differently at times. And with much of what would be frowned upon in many games becoming the 'way to play' here.

How about Grief Buy Auto instead.

(More so, if they are adding day one vehicle to be bought as part of the coming DLC).

I have more problems with the game bugging out than I do griefing. Try to sell crates get the damn airplane and it just doesn't want to drop the last crate, don't know how many times that happened. My car I sourced just magically catches on fire o boy that pisses me off time to smoke. Only happened once go to sell bunker as soon as your outside the semi started shaking turned sideways and blew up all on its own. I can deal with griefers but I can't deal with the bugs.

First of all I think people should stop bashing on Hugh. It took a bit of guts to post this thread, and he's not the first person to acknowledge WTF have Rockstar done to freemode and our glorious game.

Saying that, Hugh is a bit naive for not understanding how clever Rockstar are for tapping into our our core desire to seek revenge. If someone pistols you in the back of the head you grab a more powerful gun and go after them. They grab a car, you grab an armoured car, they grab one with turrets, you grab one with turrets and wings... and so on, until we eventually get to EWO, jets and the final hopeless dash to the facility and the orbital cannon. This sequence can sometimes take several hours, and during that time you do exactly what? Get revenge? Maybe. But definitely spend multiple hours earning zero cash. And no cash only means one thing, right folks?

I would see my role as the game’s natural antagonist rightly or wrongly, but gaming is only fun when there is a game to play. Going after a lone delivery van on an Oppressor or in a jet just to destroy it....where’s the game? It’s too easy. But when you see a three-vehicle gunrunning convoy with an escort helicopter, an organised crew, then there is the game. They are the ones to go after. And again, it’s too easy just to strafe them in a jet. More fun to try and use other tactics to ambush them. Make roadblocks and stuff.

Nine times out of ten, they get away because they are organised, and outnumber me, but in my mind I at least livened things up. I always give a “gg” text to a CEO or MC president whose crew outplay me, as a gesture of sportsmanship.

Legitimately interested in doing competitive freemode work with you now :p (i.e trying source I/E vehicles while the other attempts to PIT manuever the car and steal it from them)

it is VERY easy to get a solo public session.    so stop crying about that, for starters.

second, i agree that the griefing keeps it real.     maybe you haven't noticed, but the world ain't such a nice place, and not all the people in it are your pals.   what makes you think Los Santos should be any different?      i have found that when i'm doing single-vehicle sales missions from the bunker in a populous lobby, most of the time i don't get hassled too much, and if i do it's usually a noob who finds himself battling the NPC helicopters chasing my monster truck through the hills, or maybe eating proximity mines as they chase my stupid dune buggy.

if i'm doing a million-dollar ticket, i'm flying solo... or just waiting to pull the lag plug.    it's called being smart.

the other day i was doing an I/E source, and it was the damn Z-type, and of course i was really stoned and spun out and got stuck in traffic and somebody got me using their flying rocket-launching sports classic.   i took it as a sign from the universe that i should proceed to repeatedly run Headhunter in my stealth chopper and blow up that Deluxo and every other moving object in sight until i felt better.   so i did.   and it was glorious.

this game kicks major ass in so many ways, and PvP will always be the best of it.

there's so many ways to fight your griefer, but a great one is this:    if you're a CEO and you have at least one bodyguard, get your Kuruma or a tank or something similar and run the Most Wanted challenge.     this puts you in ghost mode surrounded by 5-star police and you can use them to grief your griefer WHILE getting paid.   great way to fill the time during cooldowns between Headhunter massacres.

I think Hugh understands he will get rebuttals for creating topics, it's all part of the game.
I still want to know if Hugh means the CEO or the team as a whole gets griefed / targeted? I never noticed people specifically tagerting a CEO and imo it's normal for some players to want to target a team in the same org for many reasons.
I have a feeling though he might be getting targeted when he's a lone CEO or MCP, which makes tons of sense to me.

Spoiler

i'm usually a lone ceo, since a lot of players are already in orgs and aren't available for hire or my friend aren't on.
yea same here and that's the problem. I'm really chill, I don't usually kill players and even I kill most lone CEO or MCP on sight if they get close because they generally ask for it or it's just easier to kill them then wonder if they'll get me first.

Being a lone CEO or MCP isn't a sign you're doing something productive (which would make someone like me avoid approaching you), it's a sign you want access to your killing toys or just a sign that you're actively playing, moreso than a white dot or passive player for example.
Plus you're a worthy target, worth more than the white dots.
Plus you represent something. That's an issue sometimes.
Plus you can't go passive without disbanding.
Plus you're visibly alone without associates unless your friends are nearby.
Plus it's GTA ...sorry can't leave that out!

So of course I agree org'ed up players get targeted more than white dots but I don't see it as a problem, it's natural. When you're org'ed up in numbers though usually only the elite tryhards or really dumb players target you, and that's kinda the point of being a CEO or MCP, right?

Quoted from another thread but I think it fits here also

today me (ceo) & random delivered a sourced car to my vehicle warehouse, and i shot and killed another random who got too close, he returned with his khanjali tank and killed me 4 times (i did vote to kick him) but i guess i kind of asked for it.

other then that i do sometimes kill afk players or or randomss in stores.

I think posts like this can be the reason some people didn't take this whole thread to serious.. I'm wondering if this is the kind of "griefing" op was talking about originally? Can he blame himself for some of the griefing he experiences? I'm not saying that the griefing is deserved or that he's making it sound worse than it is but I'm just curious if he at least sometimes maybe can blame himself.. We all know the game can be a sh*t fest some times, some players experiences it more often than others tho. That we know from other threads..

Yesterday there was a little discussion about abusing the kick feature and this kind of backs up KWF1981's argument imo.
Here he first kill a player but when that player retaliate he votes to kick him..

Might seem like I'm bashing on Hugh here considering I made some comments earlier regarding the poll but that's not my intention here, I'm just genuinely curious if he at least on some occasions maybe can blame himself for being "griefed"

^^ Hugh gets a bashing on this forum in general because of the way he expresses himself. He's not very articulate and comes across as a bit off-topic and out-of-touch, hardly ever receives and 'likes' and I feel a bit sorry for him. He plays the game just like everyone else but seems to come off worst in most scenarios. I wasn't focusing on specific people when I suggested people should stop bashing him. People are always looking for the weak link and, to be absolutely honest, Hugh needs to try a bit harder.

Just a big ol' game of swings and roundabouts really. Funny old game like that, lol.
