As the title suggests. Has the Deluxo ever gone on sale? If so, when and how much was the discount?

Never, and Rockstar should double the price tag along with the Oppressor  :miranda:.   There are too many easily-accessible, flying vehicles in the sky as it is, and discounting the Deluxo would make GTA online even more unbalanced than it already is.

Nope, sells enough as it is.

Thruster hasn't either for some dumb reason.... I've only ever seen three.... don't imagine many sold

Anyone who spends more than a certain percentage of their time on either of those two vehicles should be placed in separate lobbies together.

How about a more sensible option like, I don't know, just straight up deleting both of them instead? Raising the pricetag won't matter to griefers who glitched themselves the cash and whales that bought this game just to drive the Deluxo at all, they'll still fork over the cash without any hesitation.

Don't even refund anyone who bought them, let them suffer the consequence.

Public Service Announcement.

The Deluxo and Oppressor have been removed from GTA online forever. Ha-ha, yours sincerely, Rockstar  .

This permanent deletion will probably take place next week (we highly suspect) so, in the meantime consider becoming a sneaky Akula pilot or kicking off Fully Loaded just to irritate these pesky pests for an hour or two.

Like this would stop anyone. This game is littered with money glitches and people with modded money.

Things I don't feel comfortable with in freemode:

  • Griefing in a Hydra or Lazer (the Starling is also a bit griefy)
  • Using an Oppressor or Deluxo (gay)
  • Taking the EWO (super gay lol)

That's just me, and I find these methods cheap and below the belt.

However, I have no problem with:

  • Stealthy Akula kills (smart and anti-griefer)
  • Off the radar or ghost organisation
  • Suicide
  • Ruiner 2000 / Fully loaded
  • Orbital Cannon strikes (if you're stupid enough to spend 750k on that, fine)

ewo is gay but suicide is ok?

So it's gay if you take the easy way out, but it's ok if you kill yourself by shooting at an rpg at your feet? What is the difference here?

and how is the starling griefy?

Who hurt you?

No one, but thanks for the coherent and well-structured argument.

All I'm suggesting is the deletion of these two pest mememobiles because everyone who uses them is a griefing passive-popper. You try to deal with them and kick their ass, they'll hide in passive and spawn another Deluxo/Oppressor, all just to fly away from you and grief someone else. They'll keep popping passive every single time you near them.

There are all sorts of ways to commit suicide. Falling off a building, crashing a damaged car, going down in flames in a helicopter, etc., and it's difficult to determine which of these are cowardly deaths to avoid giving another player the kill, or genuine suicides from accidents and other types of force majeure events. EWO, on the other hand, is suicide with the intent to avoid giving another player the kill. It's a fine line, and killing yourself to avoid 'getting killed' by another player is kind of disgusting I agree.

If you haven't already come up against a skilled Starling pilot, lucky you. There is practically zero chance of taking that thing down, and it dives, hits, and zips away with JATO.

It's all a bit tongue-in-cheek, but excessive use of a single griefing method is nauseous to the rest of the lobby I tend to find.

It should cost $30 mil, and when you fire your 10th rocket from it, it should automatically explode.  That thing is so annoying.

I have both and use them regularly and have killed once this year while defending a crew mate...with a buzzard.

They have many uses besides griefing.

Don't criticize muh memebike!!

No, they do not have any uses beyond griefing. If they did have uses beyond griefing, they both wouldn't have accurate homing missiles and insurance, and one certainly would not be insta-spawnable next to you.

I own a DeLuxo and use it in free roam but only because I like how it drives (I have easy access to much faster methods of travel should I need them). However, I never grief in it and only use it's offensive weapons to go after bounties.

I DO NOT GO AFTER PLAYERS DELIVERYING PRODUCT OR TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK. EVER.

Having been taken out more times than I can count by other players in them, I understand the reason behind the hatred but please consider that not every DeLuxo owner is a douche bag.

I, for one, am a douche bag for COMPLETELY different reasons too numerous to list here but how I drive and fly my DeLuxo is not one of them.

@Dangermong

You might want to consider growing up.

I'm not even a huge fan of the oppressor but it comes in handy that you can spawn it at your feet when an mc president for travelling places quickly etc.

I only play in friendly lobbies tbh and have no idea what people do with it to grief as I've never experienced it.

If you're going to get annoyed when someone writes "who hurt you" in response to your vitriolic tunnel visioned diatribe then maybe don't be a hypocrite and write the nonsense you just typed to me in response to perfectly coherent points?

Just a thought.

Funny how you fail at recognizing irony.

I'm not even a huge fan of the oppressor but it comes in handy that you can spawn it at your feet when an mc president for travelling places quickly etc.

And that would not be a problem if it was not weaponized. This is why I have a problem with the Vigilante, but not the Rocket Voltic.

I only play in friendly lobbies tbh and have no idea what people do with it to grief as I've never experienced it.

Are you serious? You actually know it can have homing missiles yet you do not know why the Oppressor is considered a griefing tool? This is what living in a cocoon does to you.

If you're going to get annoyed when...
*incoherent gibberish*
... perfectly coherent points?

What coherent point? You just said the Deluxo and Oppressor aren't griefing tools just-because, and you haven't added any other point beyond that. The other guy just laid out a single line insult because he cannot stand any criticism of his griefing tools.

These vehicles are nothing more than griefing tools, and they prove themselves as such because that's how the majority of their owners use them. That right there is the coherent point, so actually have a thought about that.

I had it but left it decommisioned and just flew around the map with it.

I accidentally bought it twice and owned two at one time. I didn’t even know you could do that, I thought it was a one time purchase like other specialty vehicles. Fortunately you can sell it so I sold one and used the other for a little while before selling that one as well.

Typical of you to use an anecdotal fallacy. The minority does not represent the majority, so just because you do not grief people with your Oppressor, it doesn't mean the majority don't use it as griefing tools either.

Dont try to /end any debate you can't win.

Hello, Strawman McGee.

I have not stated they have uses besides griefing, I have stated that just because of the off-chance Cyborg hasn't griefed other players with his broomstick, it does not discredit the objective fact it is built to be a griefing tool to be used by tryhard griefers.

Make up your mind, bozo

Go fetch yours.
