Tim Bergling (Swedish pronunciation: [tɪm ²bærjlɪŋ]; 8 September 1989 20 April 2018), better known by his stage name Avicii (/əˈviːtʃi/, ə-VEE-chee, Swedish: [aˈvɪtɕɪ]; stylized as ΛVICII and ◢ ◤), was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer.

If you are someone who follows mainstream music, then you probably know of, or at the very least heard the music of Avicii's on a television show or movie. His song, "Levels" launched him to international fame. Some of his other hits are, "Wake Me Up" and "Hey Brother" as well as collaborating with numerous other famous artists throughout his short career.

He stopped touring in 2016 due to health reasons. In 2017, Bergling's health deteriorated of which he was diagnosed with pancreatitis due to excessive alcohol use, and he had subsequently stopped doing live performances since then.
