During early development stages of GTA San Andreas, Rockstar planned to implement safes, which a player was able to crack. There are only unused models and text strings left in the game.

This script completely restores this feature unfinished by developers. Safes are located in every house Carl can invade during burglary mission. Approach the safe to start cracking it.

Carefully rotate the tumbler right or left via directional buttons, or analog sticks - in case you play with gamepad. Listen carefully to the sounds, clicks and vibrations (which are only present to gamepad users) caused by the safe. Eventually, you will find out a four-digit code which should be written on an on-screen keyboard in order to gain access to the money stored in the safe.

Script features:

* Safe tumbler and door are mobile parts of the safe (tumbler rotates, door opens)
* You are able to see the amount of safes cracked by you throughout the game in statistics menu.
* Full gamepad control support. Gamepad will vibrate with different intensivity when successfully cracking the safe or failing to input the proper code.

If someone doesn't know, this feature was indeed in the development, however no code was ever left in the game. This mod restores it by using text and model leftovers. I would say that it is a good recreation, nice job!

woah it's actually amazing how fast people re-enable these features in game , first the earthquake thing and now this safe minigame , looks mighty interesting too. will definitely give it a quick try soon.

Might as well will you try doing a furniture mod?

Looks good! However, I tried cracking a safe and cancelled it - and now all safes in all houses are permanently open.

Also, confirming number input via Enter does bring incosistency when using a gamepad, since then you have to confirm via Triangle and not Cross.

I have a hard time believing this mod is legit because of April 1st.

Will take the risk.

It's definitely an interesting mod, but the way the model spins and the controls seem all inverted. Also, the difficulty is tremendously weird.

In one safe I managed to crack 3 numbers, the last one was impossible.

Rotate left, rotate right and not much happened. The first 3 ones I got it by just randomly pressing the buttons. The meaning of the sound is kinda confuse.

Nice mod nonetheless. It's interesting how this was purely done with CLEO.

...

Is there money in every safe or is it more like random?

Ah, money. There is always plenty of it during the game plus there is no way to spend it so any mod based on "x earn money for fun" is boring.

I was thinking the furniture script might have functions similar to the one in "Scarface: The world is yours"

You did great job. Awesome work. But while you in the safe crack password menu, when night time is up, Burgular job mission failing and game spawns you outside of the house. Thats okay, but after that game FPS downs to 5-15. I dont know why but its happening

I have 8 GB ram nvidia 720m graphic card intel i5
