A bit of a silly question really: how do you pronounce the car name "Regina"?

Being of a Slavic origin, I see it as a Germanic name and therefore pronounce as reh-ghee-nah.

However, it has occurred to me the other day that the first language English speakers may pronounce it as ree-ji-nah, to rhyme with vagina - sounds like something R* would do.

So which one is it?

I say re ji na. In the same way Reginald name is pronuciated [ɹ_ɪ_dʒ_ˈɪ_n_əl_d] d3 would be like dj.

The amount of sex jokes in GTA still suprises me. I did not see this, and neither did I recognize Uranus or Stratum until I read about them on the web.

I've always said "rejinah". Although I don't drive this car, but sometimes I see similarities in a landstalker or a rancher, and think hell they look bad like a regina (in widescreen or if fbi rancher has a stripe).

Regina (Latin for "queen")
Either is accepted. I was taught to say Re gene ah.[New England mid 1950s moderate]

I always pronounced it as "reh-ghee-nah".

That's the way the police chatter in GTA IV TLAD refers to it.
