Hello all. I'm aware there's topics about adding helmets to models but that doesn't seem to be working for me.

I've used:

SET_PED_PROP_INDEX
SET_PLAYER_HELMET (or something like it)

Nothing happens though. LUA or .NET examples welcome.

Ped npc = World.CreatePed("s_m_y_swat_01", Game.Player.Character.Position);
Function.Call(Hash.SET_PED_PROP_INDEX, npc, 0, 0, 0, 0);

SET_PED_PROP_INDEX set a prop on the NPC (0 = Helmets).

The prop must be supported by the NPC, it depends of its model.

Apparently, the swat model only have this prop.

Here is a good topic that shows how to find some which props are supported by who: http://gtaforums.com...ed-via-scripts/

And here to have the list of indexes and their meaning: http://gtaxscripting...-and-props.html

Thanks so much, dude. I think I messed up one of those parameters. I'll check out that link. You've been quite helpful. Love this forum!

So I'm guessing I can find out more about the props from looking in "streamedpedprops.rpf"? According to the format, should be p_head_diff_000_a. I guess what threw me off was the part where it says you can put "2" for the paletteID param.
