There's just something truly carefree about Vice City. Even though I love GTA IV I feel Vice City is just one of those games I can pick up and play without thinking about it too hard. It has the right amount of features that are relevant without feeling like it's unnecessarily bloated or pointless.

Tommy's a great protagonist for the type of series GTA is. He just gets sh*t done and doesn't let anyone stand in his way.

Exploring the map via helicopter.
Thats the only thing i do when i play it now.
Landing on different apartments and bungalows and jumping down onto the streets(without dying)

This. Rockstar should think twice before creating any protagonist for the next GTA.

- Story is nicely tied up (1st part: discovering who ruined the drug deal. 2nd part: conquering the city and preparing to face Sonny).

- It doesn't have many enterable buildings like GTA SA, but the ones you can enter are amazing and unique.

- Soundtrack.

- City design is very nice, lots of palm trees and neon lights.

- Fun missions (side missions included).

- Great protag.

- Great supporting characters.

- Nice clothes (I prefer the VC system to the SA system of clothing).

- The game just has this vibe that makes you feel like you are in the 80s, which is a sum of the reasons I listed above.

There are already plenty topics about this subject but anyway.

-Vice City is a very charming place where you immediately feel on holidays, especially on your first visit in the Ocean drive hotel suite with these beautiful colors and set

-The weather is very well rendered and takes part to Vice City's charm

-The soundtrack is excellent

-The cars handling is marvelous which makes the races very enjoyable to play

-The fact you can drive bikes and helicopters adds to the charm of exploration

-Tommy is an alpha-male-badass and from the game start you can feel he has everything it's got to have to become the king of Vice City

-The fact you buy companies giving you missions earning you money gives the feeling of a great achievement

-The missions are more diversified than in GTA 3

I probably forgot some points.

- Weapons

- Assets missions

- All-proof Sentinel

- Chainsaw and Katana

- Tommy Vercetti

- Miami style

- and More that I can't remember from this game

It's serious and ridiculous rolled into one. Great story with the best characters ever not to mention Tommy is a badass with the best one liners and an amazing soundtrack. I was the only kid in my street that had it so everyone was almost kissing my feet to play it.

Then there's the logic such as being a convicted killer who done 15 years in the can but it's ok to walk into the police station and wear their uniform.

Pretty much just the great time it's set in. I freakin' love the 80s & the game succeeded to deliver this exact atmosphere.
